In Motion Orlando
In Motion is an outpatient physical therapy clinic located in the rapidly-growing Mills 50 District just north of downtown Orlando. Physical therapy is a movement-based specialty that assesses how your body moves. If your muscles, bones or nervous systems are impaired due to injury, physical therapy can promote increased function, performance and quality of life.

At In Motion, we not only seek to decrease your pain. We strive to deliver therapy designed to improve your quality of life, increase your athletic performance and prevent re-injury. We want to help you return to the active lifestyle you desire and ensure your full recovery. Your pain may be a cause or a result of your injury, and your treatment may encompass surrounding areas of the body.
Services
The initial appointment will typically last about an hour, and at the conclusion of the evaluation, the therapist will discuss her findings with you and design an individualized treatment program for you. This program is based on both your history and your examination, and it typically includes in-office exercises, as well as techniques for a home exercise program.
Orthopedics is the study of the musculoskeletal system, including the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Patient's conditions may have developed over time, from an injury, or from surgery. Specialized orthopedic treatment can allow the patient to regain their range of motion, strength, endurance and control through guided exercises and manual treatments.
Sports Medicine is a specific branch of orthopedics dedicated to treating athletes. An athlete may seek assistance in recovering from an injury, but this area of physical therapy also includes injury prevention and performance enhancement. Athletes love their sport, and our goal is to assist them in reaching their goals.
Manual therapy includes joint, nerve and soft tissue mobilization with the therapist's hands, or in some cases, instuments. Manual therapy can increase range of motion, reduce or eliminate soft tissue inflammation, improve tissue repair, and facilitate movement.

Joint mobilization may specifically assist in increasing range of motion by stretching the tissues causing the limitation, increasing synovial fluid ("joint oil"), changing the firing patterns of the mechanoreceptors, and increasing blood flow to the surrounding tissues.
Most Americans experience back or neck pain at some point in our lives. Determining the specific cause of your spinal pain is the key to successful treatment and avoiding recurrence. Your pain may be caused by your vertebrate (bones), muscles, ligaments, discs, fascia, nerves or any combination of these structures.

This practice is excellent! It is a very friendly and welcoming practice. Carly was wonderful to work with as she helped me progress from back pain that I had struggled with for years. The results have been amazing!

This is the place to go in Central Florida for expert physical therapy with a heart. Jill (and sometimes Becca) have treated me for a variety of running-related injuries over the years. They have always got me back to my best with an individualized program of ART/manual treatment/graston together with specific exercises.

I have been getting treatment from Becca and I am seeing incredible results. I have been battling a few injuries for several months, and I truly regret not stopping in sooner. Becca has been extremely knowledgeable, thorough, helpful, and friendly. The entire staff is that way. The atmosphere is very clean, zen, welcoming, and family oriented. I would highly recommend “in motion” to anyone with physical therapy needs. I really can not thank them enough for what they do. I am looking forward to my next appointment.

Being treated by Jill - for lack of any better wording - changed my life! She was the first person to know EXACTLY why my back had hurt for years. She worked to correct the issues, give me much-needed relief, and taught me exercises to strengthen my lower back, shoulders, and neck. Back pain is in the past and if it resurfaces on occasion, I now have the tools to correct it on my own. Driving to Winter Park from Viera was totally worth the healing and learning I received. Thank you, Jill, for being so awesome! Whenever I slouch, jut, or arch, I will forever hear your voice in my head correcting

My husband was referred to In Motion for mobility, balance, and strengthening issues that were not improving with former PT. Jill, Becca, and Carly are the best physical therapist in the Orlando area. With their treatment, he is moving with more flexibility and strength. The staff is professional and very caring! We cannot thank them enough for their quality of care.

After struggling for 9 months with poor results from mainstream ACL physical therapists, Jill was able to restore my knee in just a few sessions. Instead of using standard ACL rehab exercises that you can find off the internet, Jill was the first one to figure out exactly what was preventing my knee from functioning properly (mainly scar tissues, knots) and took an action plan to fix those in a few sessions. Thanks to Jill, I am now able to engage again in my favorite sports (karate, tennis, skiing) which seemed impossible just a few weeks ago. Jill has 20 years of experience, very high ethics

My osteopath sent me to In Motion because she said In Motion is the best. I had a severely herniated C6/C7 disc and needed the numbing/tingling in my left hand and arm to stop. After the first visit, I saw a huge reduction in numbness and tingling. After months now, it only slightly tingles for a couple seconds once per day, until I auto correct my bad posture. Pretty amazing considering my osteopath said it's the worst herniation she has seen. They are now helping me with improving my range of motion in my shoulders. Overall, they are so kind, skilled, attentive and great at explaining things

Cassie helped me last year after rotator cuff surgery and was awesome. This year I had knee replacement and Cassie was up to the task. She did a fantastic job getting me up and moving again. Can't say enough good things about this group, highly recommend.

Jill is simply amazing! Her knowledge and application are just top notch, and she really listens to her clients. I could barely walk and was very unsure of my future. She turned my prognosis around, and with a targeted physical therapy program, I am now able to walk pain free for the first time in years. No one in Orlando is better, if you are really serious about getting a new lease on life, visit Jill at InMotion!

Been working with Jill for months now with my foot and knee issues. I have been to numerous therpists throughout my basketball career and without a doubt I can say that Jill is first class at what she does. She's also very hands on and you can tell she genuinely cares about her patients... 5 stars
