I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and yoga therapist located in Golden, Colorado. I place high regard on working from a place of authenticity, and connecting with your whole self. I offer a safe space to work with you on finding harmony of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
I work with treatment modalities designed to incorporate healing through both mind and body. These approaches are powerful and allow you to reconnect with your inner wisdom, to create lasting change from the inside out. I use strength based, and client-centered approaches to help you create lasting shifts to unlock your fullest potential.
EMDR therapy was created by Francine Shapiro, in 1989. Since then, EMDR has developed and evolved through the contributions of therapists and researchers all over the world. Today, EMDR is set to standardized protocols that deeply accelerate healing from past trauma. The process involves bilateral stimulation of the brain, either by moving the eyes side to side while following a light or stimulus, or by tone or touch.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) provides a framework to explore values- the internal compass held within- and incorporates mindfulness, and acceptance strategies, in conjunction with behavioral changes strategies, in order to live in alignment with your core values. ACT therapy provides a framework for our core being, and a recognition of whether we are moving towards joy and abundance, or avoidance and pain.
A psychospiritual approach means incorporating ritual, spirituality and intention setting as part of the holistic healing process. It also includes self exploration with connecting to a higher source, outside the scope of organized religion. Through these practices, you began to connect deeper not only to yourself, but the greater world.
