Reached out to them to cater an event for 20 in my home. They insisted I had to affiliate the event with a corporation, ie my employer. I thought this was a really strange policy. Since the event is a personal event, I didn't think it was appropriate to provide my employer's name. Had they successfully catered our home event, I might have used them for firm events. But given this experience, I will not be using them in the future.

Ive been using ZeroCater at my company for over 3 years and absolutely love the service! I've tried out all the other big competitors but there is no comparison. They have the most variety, healthy options, wonderful portion sizes and are always on time to set up our lunch. Our office has grown from 35people to 85 people and ZeroCater has been wonderful at accommodating our growing team.

ZeroCater is awesome for several reasons:
- great customer service
- wide range of cuisines at reasonable prices
- easy billing structure
As a production coordinator, I worked with Caitlin McNally extensively to serve meals to our crew and she went above and beyond to be accommodating, with last minute requests and schedule changes. Plus we got to feed our crew different meals and kept it interesting. Definitely recommend working with them as caterers for film production, or any other professional events!

My review is based on their Corporate Snack Program- they don't really have this program organized. I had three over the phone meetings, they asked multiple questions to customize the right program for our office and then they require an onsite visit to see what they could do to improve our existing setup before moving forward. I asked the manager if he could send me what options they had and price points but he steered away and said that couldn't be done until the onsite was complete. ZeroCater has been nothing short of amazing to work with. They take the headache out of managing the variety and quality of ordering food for the office. We have a big team and a ton of different tastes to accommodate and they do just that - they have hundreds of restaurants and providers in SF so we are able to keep everyone in the office happy. This company has a feedback mechanism which is supposed to allow me to comment in an effort to have a better lunch experience.
Unfortunately, I have never, ever been able to use their website - it won't let me login. It also won't let me see menus, request a new password, or leave feedback. It does show me where today's lunch is coming from - that's it.
I tried contacting their support directly. While they were pleasant and personable, they have never been able to make their website work for me. This seems pretty basic.

We used Zero Cater last week for one of our weekly work lunches, and we had a great time. I loved that everything was labeled, and the food was really yummy. We had kebabs, and rice. There were tons of veggies, sauces and a musaca, delish!

I have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from. I worked customer service for almost 20 years and all I can say is some people are never happy no matter how good you are. They will trash a business over the dumbest most insignificant little details. I take those reviews with a grain of salt, it just is not possible for one person to think they are amazing and yet someone else thinks they're horrible. I resonate some of the feedback's left below. I dont believe 5 star reviews here reflect ZeroCater as business in large. We have been using this service from last 2+ years, and my below feedback is summary of their behavior over time
a) ZeroCater doesnt care for the food rating, but worries about its cut. There are pathetic vendors like Palo Alto kit, DeCarlo's Place who deliver very poor quality food options. Frequent feedback to drop them from serving has never ever been honored once.
b) I have food allergy towards pepper and evenings become nightmare to me on days I eat food with

I am only reviewing due to the excessive desperate solicitors that they are & do not understand the words no thank you.
After choosing a different catering company, not only did I get unannounced visit from a rep, few months later, they kept coming back to my business. I told them each time I do not appreciate unannounced visits & to please stop. They will try to pry what service you are currently using, which don't tell them - it's a horrible thing that poorly trained sales people do to replicate other companies & then say it's their own.

Today ZeroCater brought us a "Moroccan Medley" from Casablanca. As per my Lpw-Carb/Keto diet (yeah yeah, I know I say it all the time), I was looking for food that would satisfy my needs. Thank god for our wonderful coordinator who always looks after me!
Of the many dishes that arrived today (many of which I won't speak of, due to my distinct lack of authority on them), the Chermoula Tofu and Moroccan Trio Salad caught my eye. Here are the descriptions:

After my previous review someone at ZeroCater NYC reached out to me and I thought "great, something will finally be done.". Nope. Bagel friday is as bad as ever. We still get far too many salt/french toast/cinnamon raison/whole wheat/multigrains. The everything/poppy/sesame/plain/pumpernickel disappear as soon a the bagels are put out (then the french toast/cinnamon raison bagels soon after, but only because there are no more standard bagel flavors left).

We've been using ZeroCater for two years now and they never disappoint! For me, it's the customer service. As they've grown, our rep has changed a few times but the service never wavers. They are prompt, friendly, and flexible. If I order a lunch late on a Friday afternoon for the following week, I'll still get a response on Saturday. When things got a little rough during my company's growth, our rep Aaron came and spent two hours at our offices talking to myself and another EA about everything we may need adjusted. Since then it's been smooth sailing!

There are different "budgets" and plans that this company offers and my company (about 250 people) tried several. The 'honeymoon' "better dresses" plan was tasty and hot and right on time in the beginning. We had Filipino, Malay, Cuban, German, Crepes, any and everything you could think of. My complaints were that the food was not always hot, and sometimes there wasn't enough of it. But it was good quality, and a nice variety. The company is consistently on-time with delivery with the very occasional problem.

I will follow up on updated orders, but I am willing to give them another chance to redeem.
So far, I have ordered with them 3 times:
1) Lunch with Oren Hummus: 5/5!!!!
2) Cocktail with Caterman: 2/5 wow..disappointing
3) Continental breakfast: 2/5 eh...fruits were okay, pastries were okay, but what was most disappointing was the coffee--very watered down....

Such an awesome catering service!
Deliveries are always right on time and prompt with set up. Not having to think about what to eat for lunch absolutely helps with productivity. I appreciate that my company offers this and that we're working with such a professional catering service.
