This meal was great! My boyfriend and I came here for restaurant week and we were not disappointed! The meal was incredible and the highlight for us were the appetizers. We had meatballs and croquettes and they were absolutely perfect!! The sauce had just enough spice and the rest of the food was delightful. For dessert I'd highly recommend the passion fruit mousse, it's so light but flavorful!

When you see a restaurant that has been around for over 20 year, you know it is good. I had never tried Brazilian food before so everything was surprisingly good to the first-timer. They have a special lunch menu if you go in the right time. And for about $26 per person, you get one appetizer, one entrée, one desert, and one drink. The fish stew and pork stew were really delicious.

The food here was AMAZING. However, I was really disappointed with the service. We spent the whole meal with empty drinks because our waitress was MIA basically the whole time after she dropped our food off. We didn’t see her again until we were finished eating and ready to leave. My husband ordered an extra side of rice with his meal. He did not receive it but it was on the bill. She was spending basically the whole time talking to someone she knew who was sitting at the bar. I do not think we should have to go get our waitress to refill our drinks or tell her we are interested in getting a

Incredible experience of AUTHENTIC Brazilian cuisine, coming from a Brazilian! My wife and I were treated like royalty from the time we entered to the time we left. The hostess made us feel welcomed and at home. Our server, Grillo, was deeply attentive, present and knowledgeable about the menu, as well as the land of Brazil with its language and customs. I will definitely be back upon next visit to DC! Thank you for a meal to remember and a memory to cherish!!!!!

I saw that Adams Morgan neighborhood has a few Brazilian places to choose from, which I thought was nice. However, it seems like for Brazilian seafood, this is the place to go to, since most other places don't have much in seafood offerings. I tried the moqueca and the Brazilian paella (which I've never heard of before and I believe this to be this restaurant's invention).
I was half-hoping that the moqueca didn't come in the little pumpkin/squash, but that might be pushing it. It was still good, but it wasn't nearly the best I've had (that goes to a place in Florida

We moved away from Adams Morgan 8 year ago and absolutely love the Grill. We never miss an opportunity to stop in and say hi.. The staff treat you like family and the food is authentic and delicious. We especially love the Caipirosca drinks. Even when we aren't eating there, we will stop by the bar or the patio for a cocktail. Delicious!

Never celebrate your birthday with them! I was never treated so bad during a birthday dinner. Ou server (Adilson) treated us super bad the entire dinner. We asked him to do separate bills and he said yes since the beginning. But when the check came we took 1h to pay the bill and he was SUPER rude to us. Definitely not coming back to this restaurant !!

This was my second time at The Grill from Ipanema and it did not disappoint! Last time we had the Brazilian paella and rack of lamb Ava they were both delicious. Probably the best lamb chop I've had in the city thus far.
Wanted to try something different this time and order the CALDERADA DE FRUTOS DO MAR COM ARROZ DE COCO (seafood stew) from the chefs specials menu.
The seafood portions were great and the coconut cream sauce was rich in flavor. For a to go order, I was very impressed with the portions of the meal. Also impressive was that the coconut rice wasn't your standard coconut

Great authentic Brazilian that goes beyond just steak. I went with a Brazilian friend (and I've lived in South America too) and found the dishes to be a great selection of the traditional favorites and less well-known country fare.
Ambiance: Mostly casual dining inside with only a few small tables outside. Very quiet.
Service: Friendly and most of the waiters spoke Portuguese. Pleasant manager came around to make sure we were well taken care of.
Food: We came for restaurant week but decided to order from the regular menu. We began with the BOLINHO DE BACALHAU (Cod fish croquette) which were

Came here with my family on Friday evening for dinner. Initially when we came and was seated, there was a spider crawling on the table. With no issues we scooped it off. It's summer time, so we understood.
The food we ordered was good.
However when it got to dessert time we ordered the chocolate mousse cake. The cake came and it was a baby roach on the plate. I was disgusted. We talk to a lady in charge first who made it seem like it wasn't a roach. That is why I took a picture for sure. We then talked to the manager and he was very unapologetic and tried to justify the roach being

My boyfriend and I stopped in for happy hour and dinner and thought the food and drinks were fabulous, if a bit pricey!
Happy hour runs from 4-6:30p (modified from the signage, which says 4-7p!), and includes various drinks and Brazilian tapas. We ordered caipirinhas ($7.50 happy hour price) and mexhilhĂŁo Ă carioca (mussels in a green sauce) ($10 happy hour price). Both were delicious: the drink was limey and refreshing. The green sauce over the mussels was a gorgeous combination of tart and buttery, and they give you bread to sop it up.
We also ordered sauteed vegetables and the feijoada

Amazing sidewalk experience with 5 star service.
Churrasco Misto, meat plate was amazing. Loved everything about it. The meats were flavorful and juicy: beef, chicken, sausage, and pork. Grilled veggies, beans, and rice were a great compliment.
Also for a salad, had the Abacate Marajá. Shrimp and avocado were the highlights. Had a small full shrimp and a mix of avocado and shrimp. Very good.
The chocolate cake...was...amazing. I don't even know were to begin. It had a crust which made me think it was a pie. Next chocolate layer was a mousse. Chocolate flakes on top with

The beauty of take-out: you can have your favorite dishes on a single plate, with lots of left-overs, and no-guilt for over ordering. Ordering off of the Yelp app for pick-up was very quick - the meal was ready in 15-20 minutes - well packaged, with an outdoor set-up where CDC guidelines were observed. You cannot go wrong with any of these dishes (please see picture) - they were all delicious and the portions very generous. Am surprised to see this restaurant is not ranked better, given the quality of the produce and execution. The feijoada reminded us of the ones we had in Brazil and we encourage

Greeeeeat food. I keep coming back to this place every time I'm craving for some Brazilian food. I had been there with some of my coworkers. And last time I was there with my boyfriend who also love Brazilian food, we got some coxinhas and fried sausage for appetizers. The coxinhas were pretty good, crunch, flavored, perfect

I've lived in this neighborhood for 6 years and walked past this place a billion times - and what a jewel I was missing.
I stopped by on a whim with a friend at the end of the summer for a steak and salad, which immediately made me a repeat customer.
More recently, a friend and I visited for indoor dining. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The potato soup is an excellent choice, as is the BIG SALAD. They only have the one kind of dressing, but it's great.

Everyone from the hostess to server was so kind! The dishes are a bit pricy but you get a lot for your money unlike other high-end places that give you small servings.
I got the carne de sol which was supposed to come with black eyed peas salad and drawn garlic butter (whatever that is). I asked the waiter if I could substitute that for black beans and she suggested I could get a serving of black beans and collard greens. Which was very kind. Everything was full of flavor and was made fresh. The flank steak was cooked perfectly, the collard greens were seasoned well, and I can't forgot

While it is a little bit pricey, this is one of the few places in the area and really the only place in DC that you can find homestyle Brazilian food. It gets the stamp of authenticity and is run by very nice people. If you're looking for a deal where you can try a little bit of everything then once in a while around certain holidays they will do a great buffet spread.
We just recently had their moqueca baiano (coconut fish stew) and we recommend it twice!
They also have a nice late happy hour on Sunday.

From the outside I thought it would be tiny, but it was large and roomy inside.
The food was really fresh, but a tad bland. The croquettes were super tasty and all the sauces were flavorful!
Black beans and rice was good with the touch of cheese, but otherwise, not particularly well seasoned .
My other complaint, I asked for a chimichurri type sauce for my steak but what was served was more like a vinegar based pico de gallo.

The drinks were fantastic. Try the Caipirnha!
To start dinner, I ordered the Sopa de Sururu, which was a spicy mussels soup. It was a very hearty flavorful soup. It is honestly enough for a meal if you aren't too hungry.
The soup was a 5-star dish.
I also ordered the Passaro Preto, a crispy fried chicken dish. I was extremely impressed with the chicken. It was perfectly crisp on the outside and very tender and juicy on the inside. The side dishes were kind of bland, so this dish gets 4 stars.
The service was great. I had a reservation and arrived pretty early, but they were ready to seat

The food is excellent with many traditional Brazillian dishes to choose from. The staff were all very friendly and service was superb. The owner even came out to say hello and ask if everything was ok. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant very nice and clean. Definately a new favorite place for us to eat!
