Just do your research before going there. It’s false advertisement all the way around. They don’t even have a locker room, to change in. Just one small 10x10 room w/ 20+ other ppl changing into their fighting attire. They false advertise the price that was online. It won’t be the same once you go in there and talk to them about signing up. They’re never on time mostly late. Honestly that’s why i never came back since the first free class. In Muay Thai class we had to put our bag in the stairwell. Luckily no one stole my belongings. That’s another why I was confuse, when people speak

10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone of any age, shape, size. I stepped in for the first time around Nov 2017 and knew it was the place for me to be. The atmosphere of excellence is present whether you go train in the morning or evening; you’ll always see pros and world champions training. It’s a very welcoming place for people who just want to go in and lose weight, the elderly, even people who never threw one punch in their life. Master Donnie, Master Lloyd, Coach Jamal I’ve always been able to reach out and talk with them after classes.

Lloyd Irvin’s gym is hands down the best jiu jitsu training in the DMV. I’ve hopped around a few different gyms before getting the invite to Lloyd’s gym and there’s no comparison. He takes ALL of his athletes goals seriously and puts everything into his students, even if he is out of town to coach and support his UFC fighters, he is checking in on us and letting us know what we should be working on in his absence. We come from Texas when it’s training camp time. Everyone is very welcoming. Very professional. Great facility. They have a great kids program that I can’t wait to enroll my little one soon when he’s old enough! Coach’s are all amazing! And they have a handful of CHAMPION level fighters that come out of team Lloyd Irving! I love this gym!! I've been coming to this gym since 1998. It's always felt like home to me. If I want a hard push, I get it. Just drilling and technique, I get it. They work with my injuries and training schedules as my life has changed over 22 years. Now I take my kids and my nephews to visit with me and they get the same fantastic treatment. I trained here during my winter break from school. I must say I was pleased with how welcoming everyone was; I really felt at home during my time here. I love how hard everyone works and I love the environment every time I walked in the gym. Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts is an amazing place for kids to train. The discipline they learn, the respect they are taught for their instructors and teammates and the confidence that is built in them is amazing. They don't get this from other sport activities.
Plus, the instructors care for them in the most sincere way. Master Donnie is the best kids instructor I have ever seen.
