Over the years, guests and friends of the Lighthouse Inn have asked many interesting questions. Of course, we get the standards, like "where is the beach?" and "where is a good place for dinner?" Those answers are easy and quick. The more interesting questions, however, are about the inn and its history.
When summer is in full swing at the coast wild berries will be ripening for the next few weeks in Florence and surrounding areas. Berries can be found in many spots (some of which require a country drive and some hiking). However, if you want to take the easy way out, these places are all easily accessible from the Lighthouse Inn and have been good sources for berries for the past several years.

Quit expecting the Ritz....this isn't Kalifornia. Funky place with clean decent rooms, pet friendly and close to the boat ramp and river. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The location is good and the staff very friendly. But, it's very shabby. Our room was too small for 2 people. There were holes in our drapes; the bathroom window wouldn't close properly and couldn't be locked. The door frame and window frame were partially painted. There were boxes of junk piled around the front door and in the back, which was the view from our room. We didn't try the breakfast, but it appeared to be waffles and biscuits. Our biggest concern was the bed frame. It extended to the edge of the mattress so that the legs stuck out enough for us to continually trip over them or smashing

We’ve stayed twice in yrs past if I could
Post photos I would. Horrible beyond belief. Mold all over the shower. )had to wear shoes to shower). Kleenex stuffed into the hole in window. Flimsy
Sliding door with no stick
To stop break in on a Main Street with homeless hanging out on corner. Peeling paint inside and out. We were stuck because everything was booked. Owner wouldn’t do a
Thing for us when we asked to move. This place is now a dump!

I understand that allowing dogs in a hotel room is a risk, and that might be a factor in which rooms to update. However, our room had burned out light bulbs and dirty bedding. It was pretty disappointing.

Quirky little hotel. Room are clean, but well worn. Great location for our needs. We were able to sit in the parking lot and watch the fireworks. The only hotel (and I called many) that didn't charge an outrageous price just because it was a holiday weekend and for that alone, they will get my return business.

We loved our stay here. The management is helpful and friendly. The inn has a peaceful, quiet vibe. The mattress was excellent and the room was clean. They include a breakfast and coffee. Easy walk to Old Town - avoid parking down there! We will stay here again next time we are in Florence.

Rooms are clean and pet friendly. The hotel staff are awesome and the whole atmosphere is pretty quirky. The rooms are obviously pretty old and so are most of the furnishings. Couldn't get any hot water whenever we tried to shower.

The location was GREAT and the service was fantastic. Yes, it could use a little updating, but out room was very clean, our sheets were clean and the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. I'd absolutely stay with them again.
