To be fair, this place deserves 5 stars BUT.. on the clock, the USB ports did not work. The fridge sounds normal at first but develops a high pitch whine eventually and the last issue is the baseboard heater in front of the bed makes god awful click sounds 3-4 times every 1-2 hours. Aside from this, this place is amazing. The room is the size of a small studio apartment, has a sink/fridge/freezer, tv, cable tv, dvd, nice bathroom, Keurig-like coffee pot, etc. Feels very homely. Internet/WiFi is disappointing. Was very quiet all night.

Wow! This little gem exceeded our expectations on SO MANY LEVELS: The location, the proprietors, the motel as a whole, the rooms, the amenities, the peace. We are already planning our next visit!
We decided at the last minute to head to Yachats from Portland as we needed some ocean time. When we saw the Ya'Tel Motel had availability, we were so skeptical. It just looked too charming to have space for us. We are SO GLAD we ended up here rather than one of the places a little further north. So many great restaurants, the farmers market, and the grocery store are walkable from here, the 804

The owner's are fantastic! Very helpful and willing to communicate easy changes. We were driving and we got lucky the previous geysers checked it early and they hurried to clean that room second so we could check in and not have to pack up. The time were comfy had basic necessities and were super clean.

This is an adorable, privately owned little hotel that is evidently cared for with love by the owners. The room was absolutely spotless. The owner who also checked me in was fun to talk to and took an interest in my new dog. The room had A coffee maker as well as some nice kitchenware, a fridge, and microwave. The location is right in the town of Yachats, walking distance from everything including all of the restaurants, the community center, and the beach.

Loved the room decor! It was perfect. It's warm and inviting and fun. Plenty of room for two people. The owner is very friendly and made suggestions of places to eat, things to do. We were in room 5 which even has ocean views. We will definitely stay here again. Only downside is the highway traffic but it wasn't overwhelming or too loud to sleep.

Newly renovated boutique motel in the heart of Yachats! Upon arrival, we were graciously greeted at our car by Scott, the inn keeper! He was so appreciative of our interest in staying there and thoroughly walked through the check-in process and our amenities. Throughout our entire time at Ya'Motel, Scott took a lot of pride in making sure we were happy and was also excited to show us what improvements he was making next at the motel. He was SO nice!
From Hwy. 101, Ya'Motel looks just like an ordinary motel, but don't let this fool you. It's a diamond in the ruff - Total boutique

Stay here! We pulled into a place on the other side of 101 and the front desk staff was surly so I called Ya-Tel and was greeted with enthusiasm. We'd been camped at Washburne State Park when the governor issued a state-wide burn ban. After 2 nights in the cold & wind, this place was warm and welcoming, spacious and comfortable, and walking distance to Luna's for great food. We felt like we'd won the lodging lottery!

Wow! We had a wonderful stay here! Exemplary customer service. Comfortable and pleasant rooms. Beach view. Cute vibe. The beds were soft and comfy. The tv had full cable and an Xbox! The restrooms were recently redone. The decorations looked adorable and perfect for a beach motel. We had a wonderful time! We asked if we could be upgraded and the super helpful manager/owner moved us into an apartment style room with a full kitchen and rooms with a door. There is access to laundry facilities and the office has a free movie library. It is walking distance to everything in the town and some breathtaking

We stayed for a week this summer, and the Ya-tel is a wonderful experience. Cute and cozy, our room had nice touches of home for decor and the furniture. We were lucky enough to get the end unit which has an extra living space and you can see the ocean out of a big picture window.
Pet friendly (our Chow-chow wants to go back next summer), quiet, well cared for, and couldn't beat the price.
Highly, highly recommend :)

This is a family-owned & operated small motel. It's older and I think the upkeep may be a continuing work-in-progress. They are hard-working and really go above-and-beyond to try to meet any needs one may have. We found that the wi-fi comes and goes, which could just be the area in this small community.

Great little motel to stay at in great little Yachats.
Surprisingly, you actually get three rooms, a front room which includes a sofa, TV, fridge and table, the actual bedroom and a tiny bathroom. The owners are very friendly and gracious people and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Yachats is tiny so everything is within walking distance, bookshops, ice cream shops, dinner places, cafes, tidal pools and of course the beach.
I had a great time here and the beds are very comfortable. Also, the wifi here is pretty consistent. I really liked this tiny town and how everything and everyone comes

We loved this place so much! Very friendly and so many great places to eat within walking distance. They are also dog friendly so that means we are coming back for sure. There is a great beach within walking distance with lots of places to explore and make sure you seek out the little boardwalk that winds through the marsh across the street. It's a hidden gem! We definitely felt right at home. We will be returning!
Oh and the wifi is amazing! ;)

Pleasantly surprised with how clean and quaint the rooms are at this little gem right outside of Yachats. Table for two, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster, and dishes offered everything I needed and more. There was also a little rocking chair and foot stool with a reading lamp in the corner.
The person who checked us in was friendly and let us know the rules for having a pet: no dogs on the bed, pointed out where to walk the dog, and no dogs in the room when we're not here. I can handle that. Two thumbs up on being pet friendly.
I would certainly return to this motel and would

5 min walk to town & restaurants & bluffs. Super clean rooms with everything you need. This place is so perfect. Simple, clean, friendly people, good location, so easy to make reservation and check in. Parking to room entrance is one level and make loading and unloading so easy. Feels like home away from home. It is also affordable.

Love Yachats--have been coming up for more than 20 years, and when my favorite spot was booked, I had to have somewhere to stay for just a night. A good friend recommended Ya Tel.
The prices cannot be beat...and they don't beat you up if you are a last minute guest like many hotels do. The rooms are very tidy and they have such nice little touches, like candles holders that are created from the ocean offerings, wine bottle openers, glasses, even dishes!
Room five is "our room"...we love it so much we bought a copy of the bedding. It is private, since the office is on one
