Recently stopped here with a group of friends. We had a table of 8 (4 children and 4 adults). I ordered a breakfast entree along with a cinnamon roll for my two year old daughter. I asked for an extra plate so I could cut up my daughters food bc the cinnamon roll filled the entire plate. Tell me why I got charged $1.99 for an extra plate when my daughter and I both had our own meals. It would be different if I was sharing an entree with an adult, but a 2 year old child??? Cmon. Food was good, but will not come back to this location as our waitress didn't seem to have patience for a table full

Shorter review than I normally leave because it's been a while since I visited and I don't recall all of the smaller details of my visit.
I ordered the meat lover's skillet and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was unfortunately heavy on the icing and could have used more cinnamon inside. The skillet was good, but not notable enough to get it again.

As my family had an outpost in Larsen, Wisco, the trek to and fro, up and down US rt. 45 became analogous to a bike ride 'round the block. There was an old-school water tower next to the road about 3/4's of the way there with the legend "You have friends in Allenton" on it. Don't know why, but I always found some comfort in seeing it. Never stopped there, dont know any more about the town of Allenton other than that water tower.

I think we were the only ones wearing a mask into the restaurant. Quaint little restaurant with a nice bakery and coffee bar. Service was good and fast.
My husband said his Tuna melt and cup of chili were really good.
You can order breakfast all day and since I am on a gluten free diet I thought this would be the better option for me.
The scrambled eggs were folded but light and fluffy. The meat bowl with potatoes I ordered was plenty meaty with ham, bacon, sausage and crispy hime
Fries covered in cheddar cheese. A little salty and oily for me but my husband, who finished it up for

My first visit here sadly was during covid, and when they were short staffed. They were taking covid seriously, there was clearly 6 feet between dinning areas, there was also an outside seating, and masks were required when not at your table eating. All staff wore masks. So 5 starts on that point.
The Biscuits and gravy was on the right side of good. Not setting the world on fire with flavor, but solid none the less. It was light on the sausage gravy. If you are in the area worth the stop, but probably don't need to detour out of your way just to eat here.

We like to stop at local places while traveling and this popped up on yelp while heading to Oshkosh. It's better than Denny's and I'm not sorry we stopped but it's very average. It was Filled with local regulars, which is normally a good sign. I'm guessing they just have no other options here. Service was fine. The French toast was just lightly soggy bread (more egg batter and crisper please), the gravy on the biscuits was bland and had 2 small pieces of sausage. I had a veggie omelet with Swiss cheese which wasn't bad but the cheese was a slice placed on top. It

I would describe Alma's as a modern country diner. The space inside has been remodeled with different country accessories throughout, as well as, floor to ceiling windows. This place is in a very small town, but really stood out to me.
For breakfast, we had the eggs benedict that was on special. The couple dislikes that I had were that the hash browns were not crispy and the eggs were not poached correctly, if they were, it would've been excellent because the English muffin underneath was one of the best I've ever had, very buttery and toasted to perfection. Overall, a really nice

I was driving home from Milwaukee early in the morning and was looking for something other than a drive-through breakfast. I did a quick search and Alamo Café came up. You won't be disappointed to stop like I did. It's a quaint little café in a small town with friendly people and great food. Oh and don't forget the huge servings. Next time you're driving by you should stop.

This was an adorable, quaint breakfast place. We stopped on our way home from the EAA Airventure festival in Oshkosh, and I'm so glad we found it. The service was amazing. The poor waitress was serving all of the tables in the restaurant, and she was doing an amazing job for a busy Saturday morning. The food was delicious as well. I ordered a build you own skillet, and it was so exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this place.

On our way back home from up north we thought we would stop here for a bite to eat. I had the Country Fried Steak and my boyfriend had the Philly Skillet. We like to rate food, service, and decor when we go to new places. I rated Alma's as the following - food 4, service 4, decor 2.5. My boyfriend gave the following ratings - food 4, service 5, decor 2.5-3. The only thing we noticed that would've been nice is having napkins on the table. We would definitely stop here again.

Alma's has been on my radar for a while and I finally got over after reading all the good reviews.
It's so easy and right off the highway to stop at if you are passing by which I like. The place is at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking.
The place is like a tale of two worlds with one half looking like a country cafe and the other like a train station for some reason. It's all tables and chairs with an old school looking saloon floor.
The two women working the room of regulars were doing an excellent job and the Coffey top offs were so frequent that I was getting annoyed

I ordered a burger and it had no seasoning on the meat, so it tasted very bland. Husband had the same issue. They need to put salt and pepper on the meat before cooking!
Pluses were great service and a very clean restaurant. They also have a nice kids menu with meals for $5.
I might give this place another chance if I am in the area. Maybe just an off day?

Alma's Cafe is just off the highway. We stopped here on our way North from Milwaukee, heading home. I had made the comment before our trip that we needed to find a "place" on the route between our home and Milwaukee, so that we could have a regular stop. I believe that we have found our Place in Alma's!
Cozy and adorable, the atmosphere is very warm and inviting, a welcome respite from the harried highway. I had the pepperjack burger, chicken dumpling soup, and coffee. He had a Blt hold the mayo, stuffed pepper soup and water. For dessert we split a piece of warmed Apple Struessel
