As a yoga teacher my goal is to create a space where students can explore and experience the practice of yoga to peel back the layers to reveal a whole, strong, and authentic self. I design my classes to foster a sense of internal steadiness and connection to the many ways in which we are strong.

I see the mat as a microcosm where each posture, transition, and breath is an opportunity to practice principles that benefit both the individual and the larger world.I want to share with my students how yoga and simple breathing can improve the health and wellness of everyone regardless of their yoga experience, flexibility, or fitness level.
Ocean Beach Yoga proudly offers a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher training program. Our curriculum is designed for dedicated yoga students looking to enrich their understanding of yoga with proper alignment, mindfulness, anatomy & physiology, and yogic philosophy while gaining the practical skills to teach a Mindful Vinyasa yoga class.

I took a hatha and a yin class. Each experience was vastly different. I liked the hatha more than the yin. Even though the former was crowded, the instructor took the time to help many people improve form and also led the class with some meditation and chanting. It's a great deal for the first two classes. I'd go more often but parking is always tough in this neighborhood and for me not always worth the stress right before a class. I also got the Jade yoga mat after my time here. Would like to come back when I find time!

I attended a Saturday's beginners workshop that was awesome! I was apprehensive because this was my first ever yoga experience.

The class seemed to meet everyone's pace and I was pleasantly surprised with Nicole's humility and kindness. I am eager to dabble in this some more and see where it goes! Can't imagine a better atmosphere due to natural lighting, class size and nearness to the beach and GG Park.

A small neighborhood studio with a variety of classes and teachers. As with anywhere in SF, parking is an issue. I live 2 blocks away so it is very convenient for me. I recommend you register online for evening prime time classes. Those classes get full. Studio can accommodate 18 at the most. You will be practicing elbow to elbow. I personally prefer the morning or early afternoon classes where there's less people and plenty of space. The prices for individual classes are still reasonable. There are also package deals that will make the classes more affordable. The only negative

This place is full of heart and the teachers here are so welcoming. It is great to head out to the beach where things are moving a bit slower and shift gears with some yoga. I am a chiropractor and many of my clients including me are regulars here and I have watch their lives shift and much healing has occurred from their participation at this studio. This hidden gem on the edge of the city will surprise you and it's worth the drive across town!

From Vinyasa to gentle mindfulness yoga, one breaks a sweat here, possibly. It's in a studio upstairs of a multi-unit building.

It's a well supplied place with the essentials.

Not heated. It's a bit difficult to loosen up the muscles in the beginning - especially during the cold winter season.

Good yoga instructors. I was less tense at the end of the session.

Namaste.

I love this place. Great classes and amazing teachers. I'm just getting back into yoga and I'm throughly enjoying the small class sizes and variety of styles offered. The studio is within walking distance to my home which is a big bonus. Great prices too! If you are thinking about taking a class, just do it!! You won't regret it.

One of those "hesitate to mention" locations because I don't need it getting more crowded. But if you are a yoga devotee in SF it has to be tried. First it's in a hippie area of the outer Sunset that has not yet been overrun by hyperannoying young techies. Maybe we have the fog to thank for that! Second it has a great range of classes from heart-stopping to restorative, with many teachers all of whom seem positive and mature for their age.

If you can't get five stars with this kind of business, Yelp should not exist.

I'm a long time practitioner who has taken classes around the city for years and has participated in classes here since it first opened. You cannot find a pair of more genuine owners, Christina and Dave, who have created a much needed studio in the area. The teachers are accomplished and all good - every single one. Everyone checks their egos at the door, which contributes to the great vibe of the place.

One of the many things I love about the studio is the variety of classes. If I'm on my A game and want the heat - there's a sweaty vinyasa for that. If I'm tired

This is my favorite place in the city. That's where I go to unwind.
I come here for mama and baby yoga and adult yoga.
Mama and baby yoga is great: so much fun for mamas and babies. I love that it's a free flow class: perfect for breastfeeding moms. The only problem is parking. 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month is the street cleaning, so I always park far and I have to walk with my infant car seat. The facility is on the second floor so stroller is not an option. I see a lot of moms use carrier. VERY CONVENIENT. For me, it's just easier to carry the car seat. I guess it's my

This review is long overdue!

Ocean Beach Yoga has been my go-to studio for two years now. The prices are very fair ($16/yoga class if you don't buy a package) and it's relatively easy to find parking (on account of being located in the Outer Sunset), which are two things I do not take for granted living in SF.

My absolute favorite instructors are Nicole (who is quirky and fun, but she no longer teaches evening classes, tear) and Diana (who is patient and sweet, though her weekday classes tend to be a little too challenging for me). I've just gotten started on Erin's classes

I've been on the search for a yoga studio that is intimate, has free parking, and closeby to home, and I can finally say I have found it!

I stumbled upon this studio from the yoga appreciation month pass where it allowed me a week of free yoga (BEST DEAL EVER). The classes are $16 a class, but after going there for a week, it is worth every penny.

The teachers there are so down-to-earth and welcoming. I attended the morning and night ones, and the candlelight ones are amazing for winding down from a long hectic day.

Theres free street parking after 6, but theres also residential parking

My first studio in San Francisco. I love it. It's close to the ocean, everyone's friendly. It's not one of those annoying urban yoga studios that only care if you're wearing lulu.. They actually have real genuine people teaching. It's so relaxing and they have a way of bringing me into a trance every session. Diana's class is the best. I also had Nick once. He needs to be on the schedule more!

I'm definitely not a yoga person but I was convinced to go to a Thursday evening class with Diana. The Vin/yin class at 8pm. I definitely got hooked. First of all Diana is a great teacher. Patient with beginners and assists you when necessary.

I became a regular in this class. It was an awesome combination of two different forms of yoga so I reaped both the benefits of fitness and flexibility.

The studio itself is really nice. If you were walking down the street you'd probably miss it as it is upstairs and not well marked unless their sign is out. But it's clean and comfortable

I was in San Francisco visiting my sister-in-law and vacationing. She had told me about this place that had great prices, variety on yoga style and was ultimately amazing.
We attended the 10:30 am Friday class with Nicole, and I am so glad that I did.

1. The atmosphere: the studio is incredibly clean, open and peaceful. They supply everything, but your mat for free. You are welcome to rent one for only $2. And the use Jayde mats, super awesome.
The room itself is lined with windows and light airy sheers.

2. Nicole was awesome, super friendly and encouraging. She was aware of everyone&apos

Non-pretentious and small but surprisingly relaxing studio (it may be the skylight). Very nice instructors who pay attention to their students. Been to Hatha Flow and Mindful Vinyasa so far and love this place.

I'd been using yoga videos and wanted a place nearby for the sole reason that I wanted instructors to show and guide me to proper form. I don't normally like crowded yoga studios (been to Yoga Tree on Stanyan).

I intend to be a regular. It's close to home. Plenty of parking and Judahlicious is nearby! Wish I could make yoga and vegan food more than 1-2x a week but it&apos

This studio is perfect. Personal and meaningful yoga, challenging and encouraging. I've been practicing for about a month and I feel so strong and more toned. Took my 2 year old to family yoga and Anita and Christina found a way to make a lovely yoga experience for our family- and with a little one who is young and who had no nap, that's a feat.
I really adore this studio and all the teachers. Vinyasa with Eunice is intense and grounding. Mindful Vin/Yin with Diana is introspective and strengthening.
I feel good.

I so rarely write reviews, but this one is six months in the making.

Overview: I've been coming to this studio since October, and I must say that it's the main reason I go to yoga. Other studios don't come close to the personalization that Ocean Beach has attained. It's hard to get out of a class here and stay anonymous. I think that's as good as it gets! So if you want to blend in with 30 other sweaty people in an aerobic setting, maybe this isn't what you're looking for. Class size varies depending on the day: 3-6 is average (right now), and 10-12 is probably

This yoga studio is rad...so extremely rad! I found it after doing a google search of yoga in my area just a few months back. I was shocked, but pleasantly surprised that a yoga studio had opened up just a few blocks from my house in the Outer Sunset. If you're a fan of yoga and live in the avenues, you're well aware that it's slim pickin's, if any pickin's at all, for yoga out here.

I've been practicing for 10 years but stopped going to yoga studios after moving to SF mainly because I couldn't find one that was a combination of close enough, good enough, and

5 out of 5 because they are about to tear down the wall between studio and reception area and therefore double the size of this presently pint sized great studio!

Love the ambience and simplicity and highly recommend taking the Dharma Yoga Classes!
