I moved into my apartment on September 3rd. A week later I noticed a cockroach and contacted my landlord only to be ignored. It wasn't until the second time I contacted that I got a response back. Well we are now in January and this problem is still not fixed, exterminator has been to my unit 3 times so far with nothing helping the infestation. I have tried to contact my landlord as well as core communities and have still not heard a thing. This is the worst experience I have had with an apartment and the management. If I could give a rating of 0 stars I would also like to say that this issue started

Moved out Last week of October , asked for our deposit 700.00 back and Kali advised she would work on it and never answered the phone nor respond to my relatives emails who lived on the same property called Brookside lofts. Called core communities today and the girl on the phone said our lease says 0.00 deposit and there was never a deposit when we literally gave 700.00 out of our pockets to the property managers at the time and deposits rolled over. When I kept trying to figure out where to go from there she said I was being rude and hung up on me. However you guys transfer deposits from one company

I’ve lived in a property managed by Core Communities for two months now. We have an outside door with a key code but it’s not the type of door meant to be a used for a multi unit front door, so it doesn’t close automatically if someone doesn’t pull it shut. It sits open to the pub like the picture shows at least half the time. I called three weeks ago to ask for a different door or hinge system and nothing has changed.
A resident moved out and left a lot of trash by the dumpster. After a week of it still being there I called and asked if anyone checked this property routinely. They said

The apartment I went into was very clean and looked amazing. The kitchen area was very nice and the bathroom. I loved the look of the kitchen and the view from the room was amazing with the library and the temple near it. Great space and the lobby area smelt very good. I noticed the gym area and it looked very nice also. The placing of the apartments is convenient with it right by the library and near some nice restraunts. Very nice apartment would recommend!

Critical: Value
Be careful and read the fine print. My wife and I applied for a townhome paying a $500 security deposit, $200 lease initiation fee and $70 in total application fees. After being approved they were not able to accommodate our move in date and kept the security deposit and lease initiation fee. Most expensive application ever!

I’ve rented from Core Communities from 2012 to 2021; I started at Peachtree (2012-2018) and ended at Ramona Ave (2018-2021).
During this time I’ve worked with several Managers, notably Marcie (take it easy on her folks she was spread too thin), Sarah and now Trish. The staff was always responsive. The maintenance guys, from Josh, to Perry, were excellent.
Core Communities was a great place for me to live until I moved into my home.
**I’m even recommending them to my family.

This is more of a review of the management company than any specific property. I lived in a rental managed by Core Communities for four years and had a great experience with them. The online web portal is easy to use, communication was easy, and the maintenance team is really nice and always responded quickly to any issues, and also took the time to explain what was going on. I've heard a lot of horror stories about shady or uncaring management companies, but Core is definitely one of the good ones.

Quail Run apartment complex - Maintenance (Owen) is quick to respond when requests are submitted. He is great! Our apartment has had quite a few issues between broken AC and a fridge that died, but they fixed the ac and installed a new fridge last fall and it’s all been smooth sailing since then. Also I love the neighborhood so that’s a huge plus.

Found BLACK MOLD during showing-
I toured Unit #8 in the Arches Building at 177 300 N, Salt Lake City, UT 84103 and found black mold in the bathroom. If this is how they prepare an apartment for showing, I can only imagine how they maintain them when no one is looking.
They had terrible reviews so I should have known better. They refused to refund the administrative fees even though a lease was never written. When I called them out on never sending me a lease, they then said they had problems with their email. Total crooks.
Do not rent from Core Communities & Investments.
