Located just 5 miles south of Door County Wisconsin, in Algoma's historic downtown. We are 2 blocks from Lake Michigan and close to the beach, boardwalk, marina, winery, shopping, art studios, and the Ahnapee Trail. We are Algoma's only full-service hotel, owner-operated, and proudly provide a unique and personalized lodging experience.

The historic hotel has seen significant positive changes recently and now boasts a variety of themed standard rooms and suites. Built by Charles Lewis Fellows, in 1857, at a time when there were only 4 framed buildings in Algoma, The Ahnapee House was built from materials shipped in from Racine, Wisconsin.

The Hotel Stebbins started life as the Ahnapee House in 1857built from materials shipped in from Racine, Wisconsin and has always operated as a hotel. In later years, the restaurant and bar were added to create what is now Algoma's only full-service hotel. The hotel has the distinction of being owned by only five owners in the past 100+ years.
We are located just 5 miles south of Door County in the heart of Algoma's historic downtown. Our guests have the advantage of being within 2 blocks of shopping, the Lake Michigan public beach & boardwalk, the marina, Von Stiehl Winery, art studios, antique shops, the Ahnapee Trail and the festival grounds.

Also available is our amenities room offering coin operated laundry, ice machine & vending services. Came here during the off season. The staff was lovely. The rooms were super cute and clean, and the food was delicious. Very cottage like, and at a really great access point for walking to fun things.

The owner and staff went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. The food was delicious and the old fashions were delicious. Our room was very clean and cozy. My family loved every minute of our stay. We will definitely be back!

Awesome restaurant! Great atmosphere and delicious food. Loved the food served in courses. Soup 1st then salad followed by entree. JoAnn and Jackie were great servers.
