J&J Collision is one of the best body shops in north Seattle. They fixed some front end damage on our 2018 Nissan Rogue due to a recent collision and you'd never know we got in an accident. I had some rust spots on my rear quarter panels and a few spots around my front windshield. I took it to J & J as they had previously replaced my bumper when I was rear ended and I was pretty happy with their work. When looking over my car for quotes, Chuck said all the panels needed to be fully painted as he didn't want to take shortcuts. This made the repair more expensive but figured it was better to get it done right.

J and J was recommended by several on line sources so I thought I'd give them a try. I needed some minor body work and wanted several panels repainted due to rock chips, parking dings, etc. customer service was very good and met my schedule. The price was high for the quality of work done. The body work was ok, but I continue to find flaws in the paint job due to poor prep and sanding. I don't think I'd return to J and J if I need a good paint job.

I've used J & J twice in the past three years, both time for repairs after ugly fender-benders. They've made honest, accurate assessments of the costs to repair the damage, and offered me some choices for repair solutions. Came here at 4:45pm for an estimate as their website says exactly this: "Drive Up Estimates Without Appointment Monday - Friday 8:00 - 11:00 & Noon - 5:30." The woman at the counter was rude and said I had to make an appointment and that no, that is not what the website says. I corrected her and she made another rude comment that I would have to call and make an appointment. Poor customer service for sure. It sounds like this has happened before... I won't be back!

I chose to come here because it says on their website "Drive Up Estimates Without Appointment; Monday – Friday 8:00 – 11:00 & Noon – 5:30". I drove straight from work and arrived at 5:00. I went in and asked for an estimate and was told by the lady at the front desk that they don't do estimates after 4. I said, okay, I'll come back, but maybe you should put that on your website. I really wanted to bring my car to J & J as they were recommended by my mechanic and I would always prefer to support a small local business over the larger chains. Unfortunately when I called for information the person who answered the phone wouldn't even let me finish explaining my situation before she started telling me what I could and couldn't do. Maybe she thought she was being helpful, as I'm sure she receives a lot of similar inquiry calls, but it came across as really rude and dismissive. I'm really impressed with the service I received at J & J Collision. Their quote was $1,000 less than a local competitor. They did the work quickly, had it ready on time, and it looked perfect. My wife had her car fixed here last week. The woman working the front is a real Jem very nice as well as the other man handling our car. There was a scratch that was caused by a worker that they were happy to fix as they had not spotted it . Their policy is for employees to report things like this and if they do not, and hide something they can be fired. They were not happy with the employee that did not report this. They showed their true character with this incident that they are committed to taking care of us not just a profit. Thanks guys we will be back if we get in another accident.

Looking for a collision repair shop is never fun. In my several years living in the Ballard area, I had never needed one until someone backed into my car in a parking lot. Thankfully, the other driver's insurance was fully covering the repairs and they sent me a list of recommended shops in the area. After looking into several, I chose J&J. J&J made the process mostly painless, and Mimi at the front desk was very helpful. She even made arrangements with the local Enterprise for a car rental which was covered under the claim.

2. J&J was going to let me walk out with a part that obviously did NOT FIT and a color that was 8-10 shades darker (which the manager chuck, agreed with my adjuster). It wasn't until I raised the issue and contacted my insurance to request J&J to submit an approval for a fitting part and more time to redo the paint job. J&J did NOT express any concerns or many any attempt to fix this issue and just let me leave with the poor service given.

Highly recommended. I was sent here by my independent mechanic--it's where he sends all of his work. The estimate was $400 less than another shop I checked. The car was ready on time and looked as good as new. In addition to fixing the estimated damage, they popped another ding out for me and left me some touch-up paint. Not to mention they cleaned and vacuumed the interior. Great to see folks take pride in their work!

"J and J was a referral by the insurance company.of the guy who hit me. I usually use Aki's. in Ballard. Mimi seemed rushed and I felt I was bothering her with my questions. It took 2 or 3 days longer than originally estimated, with no explanation, just emails pushing back the date, but only as responses to my emails. I didn't even get a call when my car was done!
