Springs Yoga Studio
At Springs Yoga Studio, we focus on harmonizing your body's inner currents - feeling, thinking, willing, acting - until they're in perfect balance. By applying yoga in a way that's correctly aligned to the unique characteristics of your body and mind, we help you achieve your own inner peace and physical well-being.

Attend our expert workshops to learn the discipline and practice of yoga - become a teacher yourself! Correctly aligned yoga is not a quick fix. It requires time and dedication. But with continual discipline and dedication, you can achieve serenity and balance even while facing the most difficult life challenges.

If you swim closely enough, the impact of a pebble on pristine lake may seem like a rather jarring event. And if instead of a pebble it's an enormously large stone then it won't just seem like a jarring event, it absolutely will be, perhaps even enough to flip you over. But in either case, no matter how disruptive that initial impact may be, waves will ripple out and ultimately flow in gentle, harmonic undulation.
An oasis of harmony, warmth, tranquility and connection - these were the guiding principles when we designed Springs Yoga Studio. We sought to create an environment that's welcoming and open, yet intimate and mindful. When you walk through the door at Springs Yoga Studio, you'll probably notice something deliberately different about it: the atmosphere.
Yoga is the practice of harmonizing the body's inner currents (principally the currents of Feeling, Thinking, Willing, and Acting) until they are in perfect balance. Normally yogi with calm of mind focus awareness at the ajna center, half an inch above where the eyebrows join, and direct awareness to move through that center into a super-conscious state.
Everyone is welcome at Springs Yoga Studio, no particular membership is required. We offer a variety of pricing options to ensure that all yoga enthusiasts can enjoy our studio, however frequent or infrequently you may wish to participate. Yoga is an internal practice. Please have respect for fellow students and talk softly upon entering and leaving the studio.
Workshops at Springs Yoga Studio cover a number of different purposes and audiences. For example, we offer workshops for teacher training, meditation, relief through rolling workshops, and even workshops specifically for kids. Our workshops are usually led by our own instructors, but often we host workshops taught by visiting experts.

First time coming to the studio on a class pass and it just so happens to be international yoga day. David and Ruthann were very informative with the information I was interested in. Would love to come back and see what a second time is like. The class I took was well rounded with classical yoga asanas moving into a great peak pose with ruthanne. Her guidance as a teacher seemed appropriate and skilled!

I have been away from yoga for over 3 years due to breast cancer and heart failure! Monday was my first day back. Ruth Ann actually remember me and welcomed me back with a loud hello and a warm hug!! I had to hold back my tears! She made me feel so comfortable and she was sincere!!
As I was leaving, I went to pay, knowing my membership had expired. David was so kind, he reactivated my membership after that many years!!! I was so impressed and touched by their kindness!! The world needs more people like Ruthann and David!!

Springs Yoga is a totally welcoming place where all students are respected and appreciated at whatever level their practice is. Instructors emphasize to work with "what shows up in your body today" and to not compare your practice against others. Rigorously clear instructions on proper alignment result in a progressively improving and injury free practice. Meditation in and outside the studio is a goal set for students with skills and suggestions on how to incorporate meditation into every day living. Many of the students have been practicing at the studio for years and although their

Wonderful studio that is truly concerned about the practice and progression of their students. No yoga fads here; very skilled teachers who know how to guide their classes.

I really like this studio--but it is definitely quirky. Pros: I've had four different teachers, and each is very focused on proper alignment and gives personal instruction. Overall, the instruction is top notch. The Yoga 1 class is an hour and 15 minutes, which is a nice length and keeps it from being rushed. Beginners are welcomed. Students are friendly, and there are more men in the classes than I've seen at any other studio. Cons: Most of the students know each other and can be very chatty before class (as are the instructors). It's hard to get in a few minutes of quiet

This is a very nice and welcoming studio. I tend not to be anywhere near as focused on alignment so it was a great refresher. Everyone was so nice helpful and loving I decided to keep the love going and write this review. Congratulations Ruth Ann you have a yoga studio that embodies everything yoga is supposed to be kind supportive non judgmental and eager to share and spread love. Thanks William

I found this yoga studio on Yelp after my regular one in Doraville (Japan House: http://www.yelp.com/biz/japan-house-doraville) closed down permanently (sad face). The pay-per-class price is a bit steep ($16) compared to some other studios in the area but there was a $20/3 classes introductory offer I decided to take advantage of.

The studio itself is large and clean, with plenty of parking (it's in the shopping center across the street from Food 101). There are clean bathrooms and storage cubbies and a water fountain (which dispenses cold or hot water) so you can fill up your bottle before

Kind of a dreadful experience going in for a restorative class. The class itself was ill organized, with a massive blanket folding exercise, the poses chosen were all versions of the same and the instructor didn't give good instructions on positioning with props. Then, we were only allowed to be there a minute or two. The room was also frigid.

Perhaps the worst aspect, which really killed any benefit for me, was the attitude I encountered on check-in with the male owner, who was rude and brusque and refused to answer any question about the class. Bizarre for yoga community. The teacher was

From my vast experience as a yoga student/ teacher, and VERY long time resident of Atlanta, Springs Yoga is the best.
All the teachers follow Ruthann and David's lead to interact with the students.. Key words describing this studio's appearance and "vibe" : clean, attractive, easily accessible, non-competitive, encouraging, self-esteem raising and

Ugh. These people are so rude. I walked in and the door was not locked, nor was there a sign on the door. When I called out, and walked to the back of the studio, a blond woman with short hair opened a door and said, "how did you get in here?" I told her I was there to buy a gift certificate. "Well, you can go online. I'm with a private client!" To which I responded. "Ill just go somewhere else." She then repeated herself as I walked out the door, and then in a snarky, sarcastic tone said, "Happy Holidays!" Keep meditating! I spent $100 on

Springs Yoga is great-- I find their schedule to be very laid back so I'm not rushing like crazy to make it into class, only to discover that the class has already started (like some other more uptight studios tend to do)... they let you really ease into the practice. I love taking the classes on Tuesdays or Thursday evenings, when it's not too crowded and you can get in and really relax before starting, and leave feeling awake and refreshed. Also you can rent a mat for $1 and get a free wipe scented lavender, peppermint, or some other glorious and calming smell. I've only ever taken

I had the pleasure of dropping into Ruthann's Saturday morning class the day after Christmas gluttony with my family. Anusara is my favorite style of yoga, so I was ecstatic to find that this is their specialty. I definitely appreciate Ruthann's extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology coupled with her exuberance in interacting with her students. One can tell that Ruthann and David foster a great sense of community at their studio. The place was packed, even for a holiday, but they still noticed a newbie and welcomed me with open arms. I'll definitely check out Springs again

Great studio. The owners are Ruthann and David. They are the main instructors too and are fantastic people. They are warm and welcoming and keep their studio very clean. Classes on the weekend get very crowded which means get there early or go during the week! But definitely check it out.
