Academy Animal Hospital of Laurinburg partners with you to keep your furry family happy & healthy. Our Laurinburg veterinarians have served the community since 1980. Here, we treat pets like family. We understand how important your companion is to you - because they're there for you through the thick and thin of life, with a wagging tail or a happy purr, and unconditional love.

Our goal is to be your partner in taking care of your pet's physical and mental wellbeing, so you can enjoy many happy years together. So, whether your pet needs a checkup with a doctor. Dr. William Goff has lived in North Carolina for several years practicing primarily small animal medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science in both chemistry and animal science from the University of Maryland in 2011.
Services
It's hard to watch our beloved pets get older. Especially if they suffer from arthritis, or from another heath condition that makes it difficult for them to enjoy their favorite activities. And then, when the time comes, we can help you ensure your furry best friend has a peaceful, dignified, loving end of their life.
For that reason, diagnostic tests may be recommended for both well pets, and for pets who are ill. For ill pets, diagnostic tests can help get to the root of the problem more quickly - and thus, get your pet treated and back to normal health faster and more efficiently. The thing about sick pets is, they often have "non-specific" symptoms.
Just like for us humans, sometimes it can feel scary when a loved one has to undergo surgery and anesthesia - and it's understandable that you might worry about your furry family member. Here at Academy Animal Hospital of Laurinburg, we offer a variety of surgical services, ranging from routine spays and neuters, to special procedures such as abdominal surgeries, mass removals, eye and ear surgeries, and many more.
If you feel your pet may be currently experiencing a medical emergency, please seek veterinary care right away. However, just like for us humans, it's better to be prepared ahead of time, and know exactly where to take your pet should an emergency happen. See our recommendations below. Here at Academy Animal Hospital of Laurinburg, we can always see your pet during an emergency, at least when we're in the office.
If your furry best friend gets a wound - such as a bite, scrape, cut, or burn - you'll want them to be healed as quickly as possible, and comfortable during the healing process. For more routine wounds - like minor cuts and scrapes, broken toenails, or hot spots, for example - you'll still want to seek care as soon as possible.

This was my first experience with AAH in Laurinburg, and as the first 3 letters in their name suggests, my first time there was quite refreshing.. From the ladies behind the window, to a vet coming out to greet & meet me, this is truly exceptional and not what I expected. Their personal approach seems to be very genuine, and the sensitivity displayed to ensure both my cat's wellbeing and that of my own.....ever so lovely.

I have used Academy for 30 years, since it opened. I have always been extremely satisfied with the care. Took my 9week old puppy in yesterday for 1st visit. Front desk great. The tech and vet were new to me but neither introduced themselves. When I asked Dr. Williams what.shots he was getting she had to refer to the tech that this was his 1st visit. This told me she didn't read the chart. She gave me NO education and didn't ask if I had questions. I will continue bringing all 3 of my dogs but hope with this review things will improve! Thank you

Very impressed. They treat your pet like it's their pet. They took their time to throughly understand the problem, perform a complete exam, and explain the course of treatment. There was no rush to get us in and out. Reception staff, the technicians and the doctor were all courteous and professional.

Everyone was extremely friendly and they were very helpful. They were also very gentle with my kitten and comforted her when she was in distress. Academy Animal Hospital is amazing and I would definitely recommend that others go there for their pets’ needs!

Dr. Schillig is a excellent veterinarian! He is very knowledgeable and I always feel comfortable with him and his staff managing the health of my two puppies. He goes above and beyond (but never beyond the scope of what's needed, like some vets) to make sure my dogs are maintaining good health. Dr. Schillig also saved us a lot of money and saved our Shih tzu's life. When another 24/7 vet gave the wrong diagnosis, it only took Dr. Schillig 10 minutes to examine and diagnose the real problem. The Dr. and staff thoroughly communicates with me, so that I can fully understand my dog's health needs.
