When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well.
If you're thinking of getting a pet fish, you should know that your veterinarian has a lot of good advice about pet ownership. Fish can be very rewarding as pets, and you just may be surprised about how much fish actually interact with their owners. Thanks to advancements in veterinary care, today's cats can live well into their teen years.

We recently moved to ME and needed a local vet so we tried Jordan Bay Animal Hospital. We've only used them once; but, we found the staff and attending doctor very personable and attentive to our pet's needs. We plan on using them again.

Other than not being able to be with my dog at appointments due to the Covid crisis (he suffers from separation anxiety) I love this practice. Everyone there is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Once the 'pet only' policy is rescinded, we'll be back!

Everyone at JBAH is like family. They are very accommodating and have gone above and beyond through the years for my pups through good times and losses. Their caring and compassionate treatment both my pups (and me!) is unparalleled. My lab has epilepsy and I wouldn't trust his care to any other veterinarian. The doctors spend time with the patients to know them and their families. I have never felt rushed or as if the staff did not want to answer my questions or address my concerns. The same is true for any follow up calls or call backs. I feel confident that my dogs are getting the best care

My family absolutely LOVES JBAH! We bring all 6 of our pets to them, and they treat them with such care. We recently found out our 4 year old dog has a mast cell tumor and he needed surgery to remove it. The clinic was able to get him in within 8 days after finding out about the results. I was a nervous wreck the day of surgery, and the whole team was so understanding, kind, and treated my boy with the utmost care and love. While one of the team members walked my boy out to me, she told him she loved him and gave him a kiss on the head. This absolutely melted me, and just gave me even more reason

Most helpful vets I've run into in in a long time! I was in Maine on vacation, and my dog developed swollen lymph nodes. I asked for their help in getting a prescription from my home vet. They were amazing! Very helpful, very encouraging, offered to see my dog whenever it was necessary if he didn't get better from the meds. I highly recommend this place whether you're out of town or a local regular.
