Since 2004 Flower Girl has been bringing lush and whimsical arrangements with a distinct edge to New York City. Native New Yorker Denise Porcaro founded Flower Girl over ten years ago, having come from a background in production design for film. After discovering a creative outlet in flowers, she began crafting striking arrangements and bouquets for a select group of clients and friends.
Over time, demand for Denise's unique style grew through word-of-mouth praise, and Flower Girl was born. Since then, Flower Girl has worked with a host of fashionable clientele including Vogue, Chanel, Proenza Schouler and Marc Jacobs, as well as numerous collaborations with companies such as Liberty of London, Gap, and Coach.

Ordered off website and paid over $300 for an arrangement. What was delivered vs the picture on the website was outrageous. I called them and they could have cared less about the difference between what you see below. In what world are these arrangements anything alike? Will never order from Flower Girl again.

First for the good news: dealing with Meredith on my phone order was a pleasure. Intelligent and professional.
Bad news: I can't believe I paid $275 for what turned out to be an embarrassingly SMALL gift arrangement to be delivered.
The flowers turned into a brown shriveled mess within two days. The "cute" metal container leaked all over the mahogany dining table.
I will never use Flower Girl again. They should be ashamed of themselves. Especially after I called and asked for an acknowledgment and redo but no response.

I ordered a simple bouquet of peonies for my civil wedding. They’re not in season but I sent a reference picture (the first beautiful attached image) and was told I could have it. I paid a fortune for 8 stems.
I wasn’t told they would send me a completely different variety of peonies that didn’t have that beautiful multi layered fluffy aspect. They were also FULLY opened and falling apart. The flowers i got were okay, but not as unique or creatively arranged as those on their website. there were also very limited options. most importantly, the florist who helped me seemed annoyed that I had a specific idea of what kind of arrangement I wanted aesthetically, and then when I asked for her expertise/advice she gave it begrudgingly. she was a bit more polite when she realized i was spending more than $120 on flowers, but i thought that was a bit elitist in itself.

Lovely flower shop! Stopped by to pick up a small Flower Girl for a gift and was impressed with the wide selection of flowers in the store. They also have chocolates and candles and airplants! The arrangement was beautiful and a hit at my friend’s birthday party. She received many compliments and was very happy. Great service as well! I would definitely order from Flower Girl again in the future.

Went to a baby shower here and the lady who was there was so friendly and helpful. We had more people than expected and she was able to go get more chairs so everyone can sit and get comfortable. The interior was very cute and cozy. We had delicious food and drinks. Inside isn't very big but it adds to the homey feeling. It's a good place to hold small private events. I also got taught how to make my own Terrarium and it was very fun. I'm not very arts and crafty but had a good time making it. Highly recommend for people who want to hold small private events. Denise and her team were absolutely amazing! I was so happy with my wedding flowers: they did my bouquet, flowers for my hair, flower crown for my niece, flower pins for my husband and father, table settings, and flower arch for my ceremony. Denise totally understood my vision. I received so many compliments from my friends and family. On the day of my wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing with the flowers as her team came in and set up everything exactly how I envisioned. I live nearby and stop in to pick up flowers for my apartment often. It's a tiny place with limited offerings so I don't expect to see the same flowers each time and I like that I ended up purchasing different varieties. However, I don't have time for the rude attitude of the florists. They all consistently look like they don't want to be there and that I am inconveniencing them. There are also inconsistencies in pricing and store policies depending on who is in the shop that day. There are a million plant/flower shops in LES/Soho and I don't need to come back to this one

Ive been following the flower girl on Insta for over a year. It was such a delight as an Alaskan herbalist and genuine flower lover to actually check out the shop in person. The shop is cozy, well-lit, and has a nice array of seasonal fresh flowers. The staff was helpful. I picked up some of my favorite wood incense soaked in Palo Santo for cleansing.

My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and everything I hope it would be. They truly went above and beyond to create the bouquet of my dreams. It matched the image I provided, but was even more elegant and tailored to my tastes.

I'm so sad to give a negative to review here. I ordered the City Hall package over the phone for when my husband and I were going to get our marriage license. The flowers I received were beautiful and on time, but the bouquet and boutonniere were both so massive that they were completely wasted - it would have torn my husband's lapel if I'd tried to put it on, and the bouquet flowers filled two entire vases when we disassembled it. They were also wrapped in a rough, soaking wet rope (not the silken handle as shown on the website) which I didn't want anywhere near my white outfit

Denise and the Flower Girl team were great! They were our florist for our wedding in November 2017. She was very flexible with our budget and the flowers turned out amazing. As we had a lot of tables and limited budget she was able to help us make every table look amazing, whether with the beautiful bouquets, hurricanes and greens, or utilizing bridesmaid bouquets. Additionally, she provided great feedback based on my style and preference based on the season, of what flowers would complement. As we were married in November and a lot of images on pinterest are flowers more in bloom in the summer

Flower Girl did the flowers for my wedding this past weekend and they were incredibly beautiful. They made the space look elegant and all the guests were so impressed (and came in under my budget!). They even lasted until the next day so we took them all to the brunch! I'm so grateful to have found them and their gorgeous flowers.

This is a bit late, but I wanted to send a HUGE thank you to Denise and her team for totally nailing our wedding flowers!! The flowers were exactly what I wanted, but even more gorgeous that I could have imagined. I can't even explain how overjoyed I was when the bouquets arrived, they were just beautiful. Quite possibly the most disorganized, unprofessional florist in NYC. I called to request a crown of red roses. They advised that they are monochromatic and don't have red but could do a special order. They asked me to send pictures of what I wanted and what I was wearing and they would get me a price. I did. They never got back to me. I got back to them. They asked that I email more info. I did. They still did not get back to me. I ordered a Mother's Day arrangement for my grandmother. I was able to order online (I am in Florida) with ease and even got an email from the business to confirm the day I wanted the flowers to be delivered! My Nana got the flowers and loved them. As a walk in customer, I was extremely pleased with Flower Girl. The establishment is gorgeous, The staff very knowledgeable, and they have an abundance of tasteful holiday arrangements.
The fresh cut section was a bit smaller than most vendors, but great quality. So if you're looking for very elaborate arrangements be sure to call ahead!

First of all, I'm obsessed with their flower crowns. I have seen several of them and they are nothing but exquisite and sweet. My friend also used one for her wedding and it was to-die-for. So romantic yet hip :)
They have updated their website completely and it is easy to navigate and use, basically making you want to throw everything into your cart. I love their custom candles and their collaboration with Farm Candy. The chocolates are delicious and they make the sweetest gifts (if you don't end up keeping them

This is for the Gansevoort Market location, and more specifically, the chocolate that is sold there. I haven't had a chance to visit the Eldridge Street store.
The flowers are gorgeous albeit rather expensive, and all of the little trinkets, such as unique cast-iron scissors for trimming your flowers and "smudges", FG's take on incense, are moderately priced and very cute. Also, the young woman working the counter was a delight, she was very helpful and was able to walk me trough all of the merchandise.
