I just had a session with Jill Jordan today and I felt awesome to return to BYCI after 6 years of being away from this studio. Well, I never learned how to practice regularly when I was introduced to this place in 2014 due to my Rosacea (my doctor had recommended me to avoid hot environments such as a sauna and hot yoga.)
I don't even remember if I've finished the 10 classes I purchased from Groupon, but I remember I did not appreciate this place as much as I do now, with the same reasons what other reviewers stated. The shower room and the locker were not "Hilton- Quality"

Just had a class at this studio and had a fantastic experience after being away from the hot rooms for about 2 years. I was a little hesitant about trying this studio due to some of the more critical reviews posted but the studio was clean and the instructor taught a great class. Looking forward to many more classes at this studio!

If you're looking for a place to practice with a motley group made up of steady practitioners, neophytes, and die hards, taught by a crew of quality teachers, and a studio owner who genuinely cares about the yoga and its community, BYC is it.
Out of 14 years of practicing at other studios, BYC is probably my favorite.
This is a small, independent business, owned by Tony Carr. It's not a CorePower owned by some large faceless company with a team of minions. This is the direct reflection of the care of one man, Tony Carr. And it's evident he's not in this business for

I'm glad I found my way to BYC of India. Back pain *was* the catalyst. I signed up for the one month unlimited ($29 - what a deal!!) as a new student and by the second class the pain was almost gone. I didn't think I'd like the hot & humid temp, but it's been healing for me. The temps in the room are not always consistent, but there are several instructors who keep the room hot. Tony, Lori, Marsha, Stephanie - you keep it hot and consistently create a healing space. I'll keep coming back. Thank you!

Sadly, I have a negative experience to share. I attended classes here for 1 1/2 months - I love the location and the instructors are okay. The primary con for the instructors is that it's difficult when they do the practice while teaching. It's hard to hear and everyone ends up not being able to follow along well.
But the clincher is that when I purchased the second month, the instructor processed my purchase incorrectly resulting in receiving two weeks of the full month that was paid for. I would have attended another 5 classes but was unable to as a result of the incorrect processing

This is a true Bikram studio with (only) 90-minute classes, carpet, etc. The prices are very fair, even after the intro special, and the teachers are great and friendly. If you drive, there is metered parking in the area and it is usually possible to get a spot. Extras like water, mat rentals, and towels are not overpriced like in some other studios.
The facilities are very basic- only two (I think) showers for both genders to share, and rickety keyed lockers in the locker rooms. (That said, I did always feel safe leaving my belongings in there.)

I went yesterday to the 8:15pm slot. I had just purchased a Groupon and was very excited. I have a lot of body pains and damage from past sports and thought this would be a good way to workout while helping my body heal. When I got there, there was just one other person there. The receptionist or instructor, not quite sure who he was, hinted that he strongly felt class should be cancelled. I really didn't want to do it. My body was in so much pain and I just wanted to heal. After a little back and forth, the class was cancelled at 8:20. I had to have my husband pick me up, since he dropped
