Personable and professional. Rather than building a studio that generates the same damn flow class in neat 60 minute intervals, Next is building a community of practice with truly experienced teachers. You can tell because the students actually interact with one another, whereas at most studios there's not even any eye contact.

I had a wonderful first week (new long-distance student at NEST) doing virtual zoom classes. Staff makes you feel welcomed and all my questions were answered immediately (esp. with the technical issues of using website and the Zoom app). Leslie Howard's classes and workshops were fantastic! The introductory 7 day Pass was a great opportunity to check out other teachers and Yoga styles.

Nest is a beautiful yoga studio. I have been a student of Lynn Ursic's for two years and I wanted to make sure others know how amazing she is. In the past two years I have seen my body become much stronger. When I started my knees were hurting but after a couple of months, the pain started to go away due to the strength building in my thighs. Another surprising thing is that my shoulders and neck are back instead of forward now and when I see a reflection of myself I'm surprised at how much different I look. Lynn has a solid knowledge of the body and focuses on proper alignment in the

I love Nest Yoga. It's a calm, beautiful space staffed by the kindest human beings on the planet. The teachers are consistently excellent; I've taken classes from 4 or 5 different folks and truly enjoyed every one. Critically (for me), Nest is endlessly warm and welcoming - none of the patronizing snootiness I've experienced other places. It's just an easygoing, kind place.

Fantastic studio, friendly staff! They have a range of classes - all with exceptional, knowledgable teachers and a real community atmosphere. The studio itself is a quite peaceful environment and I especially love their slower classes (Restorative & Reiki)! I highly recommend checking Nest out. You will feel welcome!

Great yoga place, with large, clean, well kept yoga rooms. Teachers (the ones i’ve tried - about 4 of them) are, in general, knowledgeable and friendly. One star removed for setting up 90% of the classes as “all levels”. I understand that, from a business perspective, offering classes for all levels is probably one of the only ways to grow or make real money. But, still, this is enough to remove one star since for beginners is dangerous, as they are asked to perform poses they are not trained to do.

Nest Yoga gets it all right.
One: the teachers there are all well-trained, and give all sorts of tips to avoid injury--either in the immediate, or later down the line.
Two: There are a wide range of classes, including solid foundation classes, as well as genuinely challenging classes for those of us who have been doing awhile. One can keep growing as a yogi there, without worrying about getting hurt.
Three: Everyone is super cool and fun! This is not one of those self-serious yoga studio where everybody talks about mindfulness but nobody cracks a smile. The whole place has a good, kind, welcoming

I LOVE Nest Yoga. I have been going to (Bay Area) yoga studios for over 20 years and this is the *first* studio that truly feels welcoming and like I am part of the community. The teachers, staff and Kim, the studio owner make efforts to get to know you and this has made a huge difference to me. Nest offers so many different styles/levels of yoga asana with a variety of days/times and teachers (who have a deep knowledge of the practice and how to teach it!) - this range has helped me deepen my practice and also be more consistent.

I love this studio! I'm so happy to have this my place to go practice. It's a new studio, in that it is in a new space and has a new name, and it is calm and lovely. The teachers are experts, really amazing. Many of them are nationally known for their long standing teachings and yoga writings, like Richard Rosen, Yoko Yoshikawa, Annie Carpenter, Margi Young, Leslie Howard, Vickie Russell Bell, JoAnn Lyons, and others I may be missing. There is a long rich yoga history with these teachers.
And, there is a new generation of high quality teachers being introduced here as well, the ones

Nest Yoga is my favorite yoga studio!
The teachers are excellent! They're kind, fun, and mindful of safety. They also know how to modify a pose to make it better suited to anyone's body, e.g. if you have an injury. Practicing here has really helped me deal with my back pain.
The staff at the front desk are super friendly.
Nest truly feels like an inclusive community, with students of all ages and abilities coming here.
The studios are spacious, well-decorated and stocked with a variety of high-quality props. The app for scheduling classes works seamlessly.

I was going here when it was called "You and the Mat." It has most of the same teachers as it did then, and the changes have been all for the good. It's a nice space, with two studios and two bathrooms, and plenty of space for students' shoes and bags. The owner, Kim, is the smartest yoga studio owner I've ever known. She understands that promotions and low-priced packages are the way to cultivate students and retain loyalty. She also asks for and listens to suggestions from clients. All the desk people are friendly and welcoming. The online system is easy to use. Although

I walked by the studio and decided to take a drop in class. The studio is small, but I like having a smaller class because I feel like the teacher can give more 1 on 1 instruction. Jody was the teacher for the class I was in and she taught things in a very clear way and was open to any questions from students or suggestions for what we wanted to do in class.
The person at the desk was very helpful by going through the class descriptions and answering any questions I had about them.
I will definitely be going back and checking the other classes offered.

You and the Mat has excellent teachers and staff, as well as a beautiful space that is very inclusive. I went to over 20 classes in a month and without a doubt every single class and teacher had something unique to offer. Sarah Moody's class on Friday (Yoga for Flexibility) is wonderful, she is extremely calm and it's a great way to start the day. Richard Rosen's classes are Iyengar based, so that means it will be different than a flow-based class, but there is so much to learn from his experience and the class is very engaging and I always feel great after. Reasons I like Y&TM:
• Beautiful space with a simple wooden floor, lots of light, space, and fresh air.
• A schedule that includes a lot of classes and times to choose from (7 pm is a good time for a class, for me).
• Many classes that are suitable for all levels and that get back to the fundamentals of yoga.
• Instructors who are friendly and down-to-earth. They won’t make you feel bad if you can’t do the splits.
• Great intro pricing – a month for $49 and an even cheaper (ridiculously cheap) Groupon deal.
• A lot of good-quality props that are made from sustainable materials
