Be clean, quiet, and respectful to others. Yoga practice is as much about how you treat others as it is about how you care for yourself.
I attended my first Bikram yoga class to stretch out and give therapy to my sore muscles and back pain. I immediately became hooked. I had never experienced a total body workout that gave me so much energy and such a complete sense of well-being. I became convinced this style of yoga was the key to superior health and wellness.
Hot Yoga is a challenging series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, suitable for all ages and all levels of ability. Each posture stretches, strengthens, and prepares specific muscles, ligaments, and joints needed for the next posture. Hot yoga (previously known as Bikram method) stimulates the organs, glands, and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood to 100% of the body, restoring all systems to a healthy working order.
Inferno Hot Pilates is a training system which combines Pilates principles and High Impact Interval Training (HITT) and is performed in a room heated to 98 degrees and 30% humidity. It is an intense, full body workout designed to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health, for men and women of all fitness levels.

I absolutely love Purely Hot Yoga! A friend referred me to try a hot yoga class, and I am addicted to it! My muscles are stronger. I am more flexible and physically fit. My skin looks great and is extremely soft. I think it even helps me release some of my emotional baggage and stress. The other yogi’s and Purely Hot Yoga staff are all welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend trying a class.

Love this studio. The classes and teachers are great but the prices and packages are becoming way too expensive recently. Also, the Bikram classes are offered at very inconvenient times for people who work. They should offer a 60 minute Bikram class after 5 pm on weeknights. I've heard many members want this as well. I wish the prices and schedule were better but the classes are wonderful and everyone is super nice and it is always clean. They also require a mask if you're not vaccinated, which is awesome, but they don't seem to be checking it at the classes so not sure it is useful

Positive: Communication, Quality
I’ve been going to Purely Hot Yoga for about a month now and I love it! All of the instructors are supportive and great teachers, pushing you enough that you reach new levels but gentle enough that you don’t feel intimidated. Truly a great community of people. There are also plenty of classes that would fit anyone’s schedule.

I cannot say enough good things about Purely Hot Yoga. The teachers are very welcoming, kind and have a great energy. Classes are challenging yet rewarding. The facility is very well kept and clean. After a 30 day trial, I didn't hesitate to sign up for the membership. Yoga practice in general has improved my life, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. If you want a good way to detox and don’t mind sweating 3 lbs, Purely Hot Yoga (PHY) is a great studio and one of my favorites in Sacramento!
During the pandemic, they have offered classes virtually, and have taken many precautions so I felt safe to go in also when they reopened.
Julie, the owner, is very friendly and provides feedback without being overly critical. Tany and Laurie also great instructors who help finesse your forms and always have a cheerful attitude.
The online reservation system makes it easy to book a class and know that there will be space whether you attend in person

Still think this place is absolutely horrible. I called during Covid and asked if they were still practicing and Juli (the business owner) said very rudely "umm yeah we are a yoga studio". I was going to try this place one more time, but definitely not! I never leave reviews, but this bad quality of customer service definitely needs a review. and their rug definitely can not be sanitary. It smells like funky sweaty booty and feet.

The variety of class styles and times are plentiful and the space is always clean, well stocked, and with showers. I've taught and practiced at many studios in Sacramento and this one really knows how to foster and support the community. Even during the quarantine they stepped up their online outreach to make sure students could still practice and stay connected. Grateful to be a part of such an inspiring studio!

What a lovely place to do some 26&2 Bikram yoga! I've been to this place many times in the past, and I keep on seeming to crave this type of sequencing and holds. I try to come as often as I can.
What is the best part of this? Feeling like you are about to transform into something, in my case, a stronger and a more congruent version of myself.
You are sometimes lucky to drop in a class and to meet professional sports teams there. I was lucky enough to meet a coach from the Utah Jazz early morning at around 545am.

So thankful for this yoga studio. I've been going here for a while and have always liked it but what Julie and her team are doing during this time of social isolation is nothing short of extraordinary. They've gone to great lengths to create a wonderful live streamed yoga experience for their members and guests. It's clear they understood what people would need as this situation unfolded and had a plan to execute on it. Thank you so much for bringing yoga and mindfulness to people at this time.

I love this studio!!! I love the staff, they have become like family. It is extremely clean and I am a clean freak so I don't say that lightly. Their staff is friendly and always eager to help you understand poses. Also, throughout the years I have had injuries due to hiking and sports and the owner,Julie, always helps me modify my poses to suit my current situation. Last year, I attended while I was pregnant and the staff were so helpful in making sure I was comfortable and keep an close eye on me while I continued to practice, which made all the difference in the world. Not sure what I would do without Purely Hot Yoga in my life. I've been a member for a bit over a year now and can't imagine not making them apart of my daily/weekly routine. There's no judgment whatsoever, and all that matters is showing up on your mat and giving it your all. Purely Hot Yoga provides a variety of classes so you'll never feel like it's monotonous. All the instructors are awesome and they keep the establishment very clean! They also just went through a little makeover with new floors and paint, which is an added bonus. If you're new to yoga or pilates

The teachers are kind, knowledgeable and welcoming while the owner is abrasive and dismissive. She abruptly and rudely asked my friend and I to leave the yoga room while she was conducting some sort of photo shoot. She acted as if we should have known. She's lucky to have surrounded herself with instructors with big hearts and an understanding of customer service.

I have only been here for the hot pilates class that they offer. The class is challenging and you definitely feel the effects afterwards. It's $25 for a drop in session. They offer a great intro offer for the first month. They also offer certain memberships that would benefit you depending on how often you go.
Took 2 stars off because the Pilates class is so late. 8:15 PM is the time they offer the most. And 6:30 pm for an express class on Friday's. And why they have a carpet for a heated room is beyond me. Smells extremely bad. I hope they plan on making changes since the bad smell

This review is long overdue. I'm a longtime Bikram practitioner and I've practiced at this studio for 4 years. They have a variety of classes, but I go primarily for the 90 minute Bikram classes. So many studios have shortened their Bikram classes to 75 minutes and I like at Purely Hot that the large majority of Bikram classes are 90 minutes. The extra 15 minutes does something for me.
There are a lot of longtime practitioners here who are dedicated and considerate. I feel at home at Purely Hot and got to know people gradually; there is no forced, "instant", community which

I started going to this studio with just a 4 session trial through Groupon and now one month later I’ve become a member. The studio is always clean and the instructors are always friendly. The front desk woman always greets me with a smile and by my name. The hot yoga classes are not only changing my body but also changing my mind and soul. I am so excited to be part of the Purely Hot Yoga family now.

Let me preface this by saying that I love yoga & have been practicing for years. I've visited many studios, and my experience here was the poorest by far.
The practice of Bikram has a reputation for being strict - I knew that going in. But the behavior of Kerith, my instructor for the two classes I took at Purely Hot Yoga, was appalling.
It was my first Bikram class in a few years, so I was nervous coming into the studio. I didn't really know what to expect, and, as a new student, I wanted to listen to my body during the practice (which is what yoga is all about). This proved

I took a free vinyasa class over the weekend. The class was great but I could not get over the smell of the room and floors. it smelled. so. bad. The sweat has penetrated the floors. I understand that in hot yoga there are going to be smells, but this was unlike any other hot studio I have been to. Uncertain if the room gets cleaned between classes. Very disappointed.

Instructors are friendly and are happy to help. There's only one room but they offer a lot of classes throughout the day.
No colored drinks allowed so that means no Gatorade. There is a water cooler to refill water which is nice. Most studios I've been to charge for water.
The room smells like armpit since the carpet retains the sweat. I dreaded any poses that had me close to the ground. That's really the only con of this place.
