I lived here since Nov 2017 (moved to a new city in June 2021) in a studio and it has been an amazing experience. First time living by myself; I was super scared but the leasing office helped me through the process and were so kind to me. It was always clean and quiet. I never had any issues with my neighbors, we all respected each other. Whenever I had a maintenance issue (plumbing, kitchen, etc.) and contacted management about it, they were always responsive and took care of my issues ASAP. I had the pleasure of meeting Joy, Lindsey, Alfredo, Jacqueline, and Jackson. They were all so kind to

I recently wanted to tour Maya Linda Apartments as the pictures looked great, was within my budget and close to my new job. I called and called with no answer, i came by the office and it was closed up with notes all over the door. I understand we are in a pandemic but I still needed a place. Once i finally got a hold of someone by the name or Laura, she was short, snippy and said I could only do a self guided tour and the office was closed. On the website it says different. Laura shouldn't be in the office if she cannot help anyone and has the most unprofessional attitude. Luckily i found a place

Not bad for our first solo apartment but they sent my security deposit to the wrong address back in March (which I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t checked in 2 months after we moved out). I’ve checked in every month and every time they tell me it has been returned to the corporate office and that they’ll let me know when it comes. It’s nearly August now. I’ve gotten gym equipment during the pandemic faster than this check. Can this check not be voided/rewritten? Why is it being passed like a hot potato in the mail? I’ll update this review once I actually get my security deposit.

I have been living here since I moved to San Diego. The apartments are older, but they are well maintained and refreshed often. There are security cameras on site, and night watch. The complex itself is safe and cozy. The rent is pricy, but a lot cheaper compared to other apartments in the area. It is also on the boarder of scripps ranch, so you get price of Mira Mesa with the nice quietness of Scrips Ranch. The cons are there is hardly any parking due to the volume of apartments and condos in the area. If you have more than one car, then good luck parking after 5pm (you only get one spot on complex

Update: I gave my 30 day move out notice in 2020. I vacuumed and mopped, cleaned everything (cabinets, oven, behind the fridge, etc), and filled all nail holes before leaving. Took about a month to get my security and pet deposit back and the only things deducted were a prorated water charge and a small cleaning fee (which I expected since it's clearly stated in the lease agreement). Overall I loved living in this complex!

Unfortunately our experience was not good. The property mgr onsite Lora Johnson was zero helpful, was impatient, advertised the unit for a specific amount and then boosted it up by almost $100 after we had already discussed rental pricing (False advertising) . She was rude from the beginning and it continued until we requested our money back. She gets an F- in my book. Poor customer service and not helpful at all. This property should reconsider who they have running the show there. FYI I would go through Jackie if your planning on moving here. With People like Lora it is just a huge turn off.

I was considering moving here, and since I am a smart shopper, I read reviews. The first problem I have with this place is the price tag. $1400 for a studio apartment? Back home in Texas, people's house payments are less then that for houses much larger and more modern then the houses in San Diego. I get it, this is San Diego, the land of the 12 month beach vacation. The thing to remember is, with price tags like this, you are trying to settle into an area that is the 5 star resort of cities (in other words, to expensive for the average working person).

Poor and Greedy Management. While leaving the apartment, the apartment, was very very clean, without any single stain. but still the management took $450 out of $600 security deposit for studio apartment cleaning. Even if rent is late by 1 day, they charge $100 as fine - no exceptions, but when you have to call them for any maintenance, they don't respond. My rent for studio was more than 1 bed room apartment of my neighbors, and there was always loud music from neighbors - and management took no action even after multiple complaints. Avoid this place at any cost.

This place is decent if you have basic needs. My bf & I rented a 1BR 1BA and it was decent for the price & space.
Pros:
+ Kitchen was renovated and had lots of cabinets
+ Our patio space was a good size and faced the sun
+ We couldn't hear our next door neighbors unless we or they had their windows open (trust me, my neighbor plays video games & movies with their volume CRANKED up high but we didn't hear it inside our apt.. only when we passed by their window from outside)
+ 1 free assigned parking space
+ Lots of street parking (not sure how hard it is to find a space

Do not move into this apartment complex. Let me first start out about how our moving in day went. We had a scheduled move in date several weeks out as we had to provide a 30 day notice to our previous apartment. We moved in and Tony had forgotten to order all our appliances so we move in with no where to put food or to cook food. It took 2 days for the appliances to be delivered and then installed in our apartment. The parking is crazy here. You will NOT find parking after 4PM and there is no unassigned parking in the complex. The office staff is never in the office so when you need to fill up

Stayed here for 2 years. Including our 500 dollar pet deposit we paid a total of 1300 deposit. Upon moving out we were given a couple hundred bucks back. Tony is the manager and has since avoided our phone calls. So just don't expect your deposit back if you move in. Secondly there is rarely anyone in the office. They leave early and come in late if at all. It's always something. You get one parking spot, if you try to park in the street after 4 pm good luck. And if you want to invite friends over on any day they will have to park a mile away. I moved into a much nicer place

Currently living in a studio may 2015-?. I am content with the apartment being its cheap price and right off expressway. Its rent, plus electric and just added + water. Our electric isnt ever high, it isnt central a/c but there is a a/c unit on wall, have no issues. You can choose to do 6,9 month lease or a 1 yr. After lease is up, you can do month to month. It is small complex, the ladys dont seem professional at all. They dont leave notices/memos on doors, so check your email for memos. That is a con, one time I slept in and by 10am they had shut off water for some annual pipe maintenance, so

I had a really bad experience. I moved into this apartment out of desperation when I first moved to San Diego for work and had to find a place before work began. Because moving is a much dreaded thing to me, I got stuck in this terrible apartment till I reached my breaking point. I am generally a very busy person and don't get to spend a whole lot of time in the apartment, but the short time I spend in the apartment I would like to enjoy that time. Well, forget about having a good time just like I did.
The Apartment quality is just horrendous. The infrastructure is old and dilapidated. Management

I rented an apartment at this complex in 2012. At first, everything seemed okay. I noticed mold growing throughout the apartment during the spring and summer of 2012 and I did everything I could to clean it up. I filed complaints with the City of San Diego concerning a non working bathroom ventilation fan, mold growing on the walls and floor and a hole in the ceiling. I sued the apartment complex owner in San Diego County Superior Court in early 2013 and won a judgement. The apartment complex's insurance company promptly paid off the judgement. This apartment complex caused me many problems

It's a dump. Yeah, it's cheap. You get what you pay for. Horrible maintenance. Management team could care less. I describe it as a stoned or methed out staff. It's a hotel for me. If you just want a roof over your head for a year, then it's fine. Do not try to complain or ask for support, because it will not matter. Complex is unkept, dumpster area is scary. Recently they have allowed a lot of trashy people to move in. I will move out at the end of my lease.

I went to this place to look for a studio/1 br. and although I was shown the place and told the Assistant Manager that I want to stay there ..she went ahead and rent it to someone else ... I thought it was first come first served ... and when I talked to Toni the Manager she said that it was probably miscommunication ..REALLY ??? ... wow, it is just plain and simple discrimination !!! NOT EVEN GOING BACK to this place to look for something else. PERIOD. SO watch out when you are looking ...
