Dr. Powers spent 25 years as a tax accountant on Cape Cod before electing to return to school and pursue her long-held desire to become a Veterinarian.
She completed her undergraduate work in bio-medical molecular biology at Bridgewater State University and received her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine; fulfilling a clinical year at the Boren Veterinary Hospital at Oklahoma State University and a surgical preceptorship at the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals at the London University Royal Veterinary College.

Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I feel completely confident every time I bring my dogs in that they will receive the best treatment available. Dr. Powers runs a great office with friendly staff. Judy and Alexa are great with both people and animals, and you can tell they care about the well being of your pets just as much as you do.

Dr.Powers is absolutely amazing. We called on a Monday which they are closed. Dr.Powers reached out herself on her day off to see what was happening with my beloved Ziggy. They worked me in first thing the next day. The team was so kind and caring as if Ziggy was their own. Even though Ziggy did not make it, the team went above and beyond for my family. I was to distraught to go by to get her remains, so they brought my precious baby back to me at my home. We weren’t just a number here at Powers Veterinary, we are family. This is the best vet I have ever visited. They love pitties, though my dog can be a bit aggressive they took wonderful care of her. They we're efficient and affordable. They went above and beyond to be able to do a proper exam. Dr. Powers, Judy and Alexa were amazing and caring. Thankful there is such a loving place to take my dogs to.

My 13 y.o. dog was in some discomfort walking on Saturday morning. Very few vets have Saturday hours, and those that did said that it was most likely a 2-4 hour wait. Dr. Powers staff said that they would be able to work me in, and had me in and out in under an hour. She and her staff were very professional and caring, and explained the options for what turned out to be a luxating patella. The fee was very reasonable, and my dog didn't have to wait until Monday to see the regular vet.

I have taken my cat and two dogs to Dr. Powers several times now. Her office is so peaceful and calm, unlike the really big vet hospitals. Her Tech, Judy, has an incredibly warm, loving way with the animals. Even the receptionist, Ashley, is very obviously an animal and people lover. Dr. Powers is very knowledgeable and instills a feeling of safety and confidence in both me and my pets. Great care! The entire staff is efficient, friendly and skilled. 5 stars!

She is amazing Dr. Veterinarian medicine. She is compassion not only to the animals but their owners as well. My little girl quite walking her back legs would not work. after seeing her the net morning she… walked out of the bedroom I was shocked. I thought was going to have to put her down it is the third day and she can walk down the steps. This Dr. is amazing and a miracle worker.

Dr Powers is amazing! Our pet family feels so at home at this office. My husband and I know that we can always count on the best attention. We love that the office is small and the ladies know who we are when… we call. Several events have happened with our 4 fur babies and we know that they are in the best hands here. My husband and I are so grateful to have found her and her staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly and have given us the best veterinary experiences possible. Gus, Dexter, Dale and Purr love you guys!
