Location...Location...Location! I give Little Sur Inn 5 stars because of the location of our room, how well appointed the room was, with Large Samsung SmartTV, relaxing spa tub, shower with hingeless glass surround, entire bathroom done in two-tone beige travertine, comfy queen size bed, & nice furniture.
Best thing about our room was it was oceanfront, with beach directly in front of this unit. Moonstone Beach Drive, a quiet two-lane road, was the only thing between us & the wooden boardwalk & Moonstone Beach. From our patio, we watched waves crashing, while seated in comfortable outdoor wicker

We visited moonstone beach, my daughter had a bathroom emergency so I ran to the front office of this hotel to kindly ask if we could use the restroom. We had been at the beach and obviously without masks, the front desk receptionist immediately gave me attitude and told me how I was putting EVERYONE at risk (the lobby only had me my daughter and her, who we were well over 6 feet from) she proceeded to scold me and THROW a mask at me. Horrible customer service.

Lovely ocean view on second floor. Unfortunately the office staff was not friendly. All business without a “how are you,” or “enjoy your stay.” We were also not told at check-in that they just varnished the wood on the patio. My husband brushed up against it and got the varnish on his hand. Because of the wood floors I was also concerned about walking around and the noise level for our neighbors below. Lovely location, but will not stay here again or recommend to family members.

Really nice little spot. We stayed on very short notice when driving the Pacific Coast highway. Unfortunately we landed there in a Saturday night which made our rates double from what it would have been only a day later, but that's just our unlucky timing. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and nicely maintained. Unfortunately we were on the first floor and, while their hardwood floors are nice, it caused us to hear every step of the person residing above us. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. But I would avoid Saturday rates and also ask for a top floor room.

I booked this hotel through booking.com for a weekend in Cambria. I double checked here first to make sure it had decent reviews, which it does. Honestly, I was impressed with the size of the room and bathroom. It was a second floor room with a small glimpse of the ocean directly across the street. Proximity to the beach was the best part, and it's not far from downtown where there are plenty of other stores and restaurants. I'm only giving 4-stars because the bed was bad. It was way too soft for our liking. My husband and I both woke up with backaches, especially after night too. Luckily

We had a night in Cambria and decided on the Little Sur Inn.
It is a nice little Inn nothing fancy nothing bad, just an overall nice place. We had booked an ocean view but when we arrived there were none, its OK though we received a discount and our room was really nice, clean spacious enough for 4 ppl. As far as noise goes as in seeing in other reviews it really was not too bad even with our windows showing the parking lot, so no problem there. For breakfast just you staples of oatmeal, breads, muffins, apples, oranges & juice, cereal, yogurt, milk, enough to get you going.

Right across

Wonderful experience we had an ocean view room on the 1st floor. If i were to stay again i would go 2nd floor to get an even better view. Hotel provides binoculars for wildlife watching. Only negative thing is I am just over 6ft and barely fit into the shower. Other than that fantastic stay.

Great place to stay! We had a 2nd floor oceanfront room with balcony. Beautiful views of Moonstone Beach. Easy access to the boardwalk for our morning walks. Good place to stay to visit the Paso wine region and Hearst Castle (when it reopens). Breakfast wasn’t much due to Covid, but that will hopefully change soon. Place was super clean as well. Very nice stay!

We've been to Cambria many times over the 20 years we've been married. The Little Sur Inn is in need of some serious updates, specifically the bathrooms and patio screen doors. The ocean view rooms are incredible but if you are staying on the bottom floor, be prepared for a lot of noise above you. Even the quietest guests above will make a lot of noise tiptoeing around. This is the first time during our stay that we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. That was extremely disappointing and off putting. When we return to Cambria, we will be looking for more updated accommodations.

Do you like hearing your neighbors clomping around and talking into the night? Do you like roly poly bugs all over the bathroom? Then this place is for you! 400$ a night got us a beautiful ocean view room and the noisiest two nights of my adult life. 6 months pregnant and 5 hours on the road with a toddler and we got to stay in this room with slight amenities and zero regard for my sanity. I felt like I was back in my college dorm except I'm old and need to sleep more than 4 hours a night now. I've stayed at busy hotels all over but this one was by far the most hair-pulling, least restful

Had a roach problem and manager has not contacted me yet but had front desk call me next day to let me know they will discount $50 off room charge. Couldn't get a good night sleep and had to constantly check out our bags make sure no roaches inside. Made our one night stay in Cambria very uncomfortable and will never return to this Inn. So disgusting!

A friend suggested Little Sur to us for our getaway to Cambria. What a wonderful, charming, & clean room. The view was spectacular. We had a 2nd floor balcony with a view of the ocean. The room was beautiful. The staff does not enter your room but is always available if you need any replacement items. The location is perfect, walking distance to several restaurants & 5 minutes away from town to other great restaurants.

A cute, little cozy inn directly across from Moonstone Beach and Moonstone Beach boardwalk. It's conveniently located near the downtown vibe of Cambria as well as closely located to a couple of nice eateries on Moonstone Beach. Rooms were neat and have a refrigerator, microwave and fireplace. The fireplace is so nice for those cold coastal evenings. We will definitely be back but book early as this place fills up quickly!!

I am not sure I can accurately describe how wonderful this inn is. My husband and I stayed here for the weekend of our wedding, and it could not have been more perfect. We had one of the upper floor rooms, with a clear and gorgeous view of the ocean. It took my breath away when we first walked in. We felt so lucky to be able to sit on our patio and watch the sunset each night. The staff at the desk were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was quite large. It was also nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. We already booked it again for our

Since 'discovering' Cambria in 1991, my husband and I have visited 25 times. We have stayed at most of the places along Moonstone Beach Drive. This was my 65th birthday celebration, which was clearly stated on my reservation. We've celebrated numerous anniversaries and birthdays while staying at the Blue Dolphin Inn. They ALWAYS treat us to a rich mini-cake and include a "happy anniversary" or "happy birthday" note, along with a thank you for choosing to celebrate with them. Not only did Little Sur Inn not provide a slice of birthday cake, not one person wished

Donna was very pleasant and efficient on delivered our towels. The hotel is in a great location and enjoyed the table in the room. The towels are not very soft. But enjoyed falling asleep listening to the waves.

I'll keep it short. If you are going to stay along moonstone beach, get an oceanfront room here. It will not disappoint. Simple decor, but as close to the water as any hotel along the way. Fireplace was nice and cozy, bed was super comfy. Will definitely be back

We stayed at Little Sur Inn for one night and had a very pleasant stay. Cambria is a nice midway place to stay for an East Bay-L.A. road trip. Its located along Moonstone Beach Drive, which has tons of hotels on one side of the road and a nice wooden walkway facing the ocean and beach access on the opposite side of the road.

Overall, a 5-star stay.

Pros:
* Large, comfy and clean rooms - like a studio apartment
* Fast and free wifi
* Hardwood floors!
* In-room microwave
* Electronic fireplace to keep you warm
* Next door to Sea Harvest restaurant, an excellent place for oysters

Cons:
* Continental

This is our second time staying at the Little Sur Inn and it will not be our last. We travel between LA and SF when visiting our sons and Cambria is a perfect place to stop and recharge. The Little Sur is really a nice property - spotless rooms with a very nice breakfast and just steps away from the beach - with a walkway that allows you to enjoy the view.

The room had a gas fireplace and the sound of the waves is magic! For dinner, do yourself a favor and walk next door to The Sea Chest for dinner.

I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here on our next trip.

Beautiful, well-kept/maintained place! The employees are super friendly as well. I've never stayed anywhere where the pride of ownership is so evident. The rooms are spacious, clean, updated, etc. Little Sur Inn made the perfect weekend celebration for my mom's birthday.

I would totally stay here again, and would recommend it to everyone!

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

How amazing is it to just be able to walk out of your room & cross the street to one of the most beautiful and lowkey beaches I've ever laid my eyes on? This place is amazing.

The beds are clean & comfortable... more on the softer side with the pillows & mattresses but I like it. Rooms are very spacious and clean, linens are fresh. We got room #16 and had the view of the ocean from our window. We got the room with two queens, it also had a table with 4 chairs, TV, microwave and a fridge. No a/c in this inn but crack your windows open and the breeze

Very cool place! reasonably priced hotel in Cambria. Location can't be beat. Only 15 min walk to downtown West Cambria area. Only thing I didn't like was the room was very dark. It was of course foggy (like most days in Cambria) so can't do much about that. Our room was kind of a little underground like a basement. Next time I will request upper unit or room with a balcony/patio. Service was great. Continental breakfast was horrid. Don't bother with the in room coffee, Farmer Bros crap which is the cheapest of the coffees out there.
Walls paper thin, just like pretty

First time here. Booked through Booked.com. Got a tremendous deal. Thursday and Friday night stay for about $300 tax included. King size upstairs room with partial ocean view. Very clean! Big bathroom, nice shower tile. Plenty of counter space for make up bag and toiletries. Looks like newly installed hardwood floors. I liked that- no grungy carpet!
Bed has white sheets and bedspread. Bed is firm, but there is some type of fluffy-ish top on the mattress to give it a little puff.
Front desk was very nice. Quick. They actually have keys, not cards and were only given one key, wanted
