The foundation of what we do at YSMG is about training-- both your body and your mind. Getting fit isn't just about getting your body into shape--it's about redefining what it means to embrace a holistic, healthy lifestyle. We don't want you to be healthier for just one day or one month, but for a lifetime.

If you have specific goals in mind, or just prefer more one-on-one attention, individualized personal training is the place for you. We can set-up a training program that's as unique as you are. You'll achieve your goals more quickly through our individualized training. Off-site personal training at your home or other location is available.

Your Success, My Goal Boot camp is fantastic! I did the morning work outs and the group is usually 10-12 people tops and the only thing you all do together is the warm up! He pays attention to each persons goals and gives you specific work outs to meet them. I went for 30 days before my trip to Hawaii and I couldn't believe the shape I was in backpacking the Kalalau trail!

Super please with the work Jeff is doing with my 9-year old son. He's doing all of the gross motor skills that we have always wanted for him. And my son really liked him, which is great. Very much recommended for kids trying to learn to keep up and improve their form!!

I have worked out with Jeff Laynes, Your Success My Goal Fitness. I had my first consultation workout today (11/4/2020). This is the best Boot Camp for me! I will definitely join. Jeff is professional and client focus. You see him take time with ALL his clients as we workout and sweat.

Jeff is an amazing trainer. Not only did I make great progress working out with him, but in the two years we worked out together, I had no training related injuries which was a first for me. He's punctual and flexible.

This is not a cookie cutter show, right here. This is about you and your goals... and helping you reach them at your pace. I do individual training with Jeff. The workouts change each time, for great results. He could easily charge more for all he offers but he doesn't -- because he cares. Your success is truly his goal.

I am so grateful for the experience of spending five months in Jeff's bootcamp and I plan to continue utilizing his expertise for periodic tuneups. I came into his program after having spent the last couple of years not prioritizing fitness. Very quickly, he was able to assess areas of growth and help me get back on track. Before I began the class, I wondered how he would be able to run a bootcamp where he gives everyone individual workouts. But he is a skillful and experienced trainer who knows how to do that very thing. It's like having a personal trainer in a class format. Jeff helped

I just had to write a review for Jeff Laynes boot camp. When I started this boot camp in the summer I wasn't aware of how bad my health really was. I knew that I was not in the best of health, but for certain, I was Okay-NOT! Let me add that before I even got to the camp I had already created a list of things that I was NOT going to do. You see I have never enjoyed exercising, actually I hated it! I tell you Jeff is a miracle worker! I love to work out now. Since signing up for the boot camp I was able to see that I had so many problems with my balance, mobility, shortness of breath,

I just had to write a review. When I started this boot camp in the summer I really wasn't aware how bad off health wise I really was. I knew that I was not in the best of health, but I was Okay-NOT! Since signing up for the boot camp I have seen significance improvement and change in my health and overall body! When I started I had really bad knee issues. My knee use to hurt everyday! Some days I could barely walk. I had hip issues as well. I thought it must be arthritis. I can truly say that I have no more knee pain! My hips aren't stiff and hurting anymore! I just recently went to the doctor

I have been working with Jeff for about three months now and I'm more motivated now then I was to start I really like Jeff's training skills and his motivation it's made me want to join a gym and eat better, I like the way he sets up all the workouts for each individual every session is slightly different with a once a week upper body training I highly recommend jeff

Although I've only had two sessions with Jeff, I wholeheartedly appreciate the knowledge I've gleaned, and will definitely be returning to work with him when my schedule allows.

Jeff corrected my running form on day one and also identified precise muscle imbalances in my body. He was eager to help me rehabilitate and find correct alignment again, in order to increase my full body efficiency and strength. Jeff definitely knows his stuff and has a great, motivational personality.

Ultimately and unfortunately, my work/life schedule doesn't allow me to make the most of his offerings

Your Success is My Goal Fitness Bootcamp with Jeff Laynes got me back in shape quickly and safely. Jeff is so good at assessing just what each student needs based on their specific personal goals. He keeps work-outs fun and effective, and mixes each session up so you never get bored, but just keep getting stronger and more fit.

YSMG Fitness Bootcamp took my physical fitness to another level quickly and safely. I appreciate how Jeff custom tailors my workouts to my abilities and goals. This is not a cookie cutter program - Jeff assessed my particular needs and designed my workouts accordingly. Jeff is a top-notch personal trainer and boot camp instructor!
Working with Jeff has helped me re-experience things I thought I had forgotten - like making old man grunts when I stand up from a chair because my back and legs are super sore, or laying in bed for an extra hour despite being hungry because I'm too sore to move. In all seriousness, I really enjoy Jeff's workout routines and have had some great results in the past two months.

Since my shoulder surgery 4 years ago, I've been scared to over-exert my shoulder but Jeff has helped me build up my shoulder's strength

When my friend invited me to Jeff's boot camp at Piedmont High I didn't know what to expect but I was hooked after the first two sessions.

His workouts are a combination of cardio, cross training and strength training. Unlike most boot camps, Jeff doesn't do the same workout for everyone. From the start he was tailoring the workout to my needs and current fitness level. Since he works with smaller groups he can really observe and correct your form. He continually adjusts the workouts based on my progress and feedback. Over the past few months he's helped me improve my running

My highest recommendation for Jeff! Training with Jeff has the only time in my entire life I've ever been able to start working out and keep with it, and I feel great. I can't believe I've been missing out on this all this time.

My brother has been working out with Jeff for the past year and swears by him. I recently moved to the bay, and my brother peer pressured me into trying it out as well in a "it's time for us to get healthy" challenge. With maybe the exception of yoga, I hate exercise and especially the feeling of running. I've never worked out consistently

I have been working with Jeff for a few months now, and I cannot say enough. Jeff watches everyone individually, and shapes workouts to suit each person. He is full of knowledge and happy to share. I do the early morning workouts 6 a.m. at the Piedmont Highschool track in Oakland. It was a little hard to adjust to the getting up and out at this time, but it has gotten a lot more natural, and it is great to have already done my workout by the start of my day.

There are people training for specific events (i.e. marathons), folks recovering from serious health issues, and many just looking

I signed up for the boot camp the beginning of this month. I didn't know what to expect, I just showed up ready to sweat. The thing that I like about Jeff is that although we are working out as a group he evaluates the level of each participant and customizes your workout based off what you can do, not what you think you can do but what you are capable of doing. Each day the workouts become a little more challenging and Jeff is there to give you that extra push you need. I am completing week number 4 tomorrow and I definitely feel stronger and leaner because of the boot camp. Give it a try

Jeff is an INCREDIBLE trainer and I LOVE working out in his bootcamp! I hvae been an athlete my entire life and was trained by a professional athelte for most of it. However after college and a major injury I sadly saw my body go through a lot of changes and get effected for the worse by lack of exercise. Getting back on the horse and rehabbing my injuries has been fun and fulfilling through this bootcamp. I can totally see and feel the results and it is really motivating. Everyday is something different and I actually find myself looking forward to getting up way early in the morning and getting

I had a few trainers before and Jeff is definitely the different one. At the end of every session, he would ask for feedbacks about the workout to make sure that we are getting the most out of it. There are different age groups of people and Jeff tailors the workout to each individual. He listens to your goal and works patiently to help you achieve it. I joined bootcamp as a way to add some variety to my half-marathon running schedule. He has been very accomodating and tailors the boot-camp work-out to my current goals. It's not the stepford-wife bootcamp or class you take at the gym, where everyone does the same thing and knows the routine down pat. There are people of all ages, shapes and ranges, and he's always got something new, for all different levels to keep things interesting yet very effective. After the half-marathon, I will be able to discuss with him my new goals or focus and he will work with me to achieve what I want

My sister and I used Jeff as a personal trainer for a month. He really is an incredible trainer and is by far the best I have ever had and I would recommend him to anyone!

I think Jeff is so good at what he does b/c of 2 main reasons.

1) He understand the body and is able to quickly look at someone and understand which areas are weak and which areas are your strong points. He def looks at you as an individual which is unique.

2) His personality. Jeff is patient, creative and genuinely nice yet stern enough to encourage you to push yourself to the next level / to do that extra sit up!

I've been to other boot camps that I've really enjoyed, but what I like about Jeff's training is that he's really patient and works with you to figure out what you want to achieve with your training sessions. He will work you as hard you (or as gently) as you want. Every session was different, and that's really what I prefer. I've had three-day weekly sessions with him, and I still never got the hang of the "bear crawl" routine. No matter how many times he assigned it, it was like I was too uncoordinated!
