At Brown Creek Animal Hospital, we strive to provide personalized, compassionate care to our patients, as well as their owners. We understand that everyone's situation may be different. The first hospital was a quaint 1800 square-foot concrete block building. Dr. Wright served as the general contractor for the construction of the hospital while also adding a great deal of "sweat equity" into his dream. The hospital had a small waiting area, two exam rooms, small surgery and radiography rooms, twenty animal cages and four dog runs.

Dr. Skip Severt is originally from Monroe, NC growing up on his family's turkey farm. He attended North Carolina State University receiving his undergraduate degree in Poultry Science in 2002 and then his veterinary degree in 2006.

As a new client of Brown Creek Animal Hospital, you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.

The staff, including Dr. Wright, was very thorough and took the time to go over the results of my dog's annual checkup in detail. I left knowing that my dog was in good health as well as being told what to keep an eye on over the next year. I felt like both my dog and myself were treated with care and concern which I find often isn't the case in today's healthcare environment, whether it be human or animal.

This is my dogs stomach after getting a walnut seized bump removed. The pooling pouch is blood and Dr Wright said this was not much. They refused to supply expensive emergency care for the vet confirmed botched surgery and continuous internal bleed. Told him I was leaving to have my dog put to sleep and he said have a good day. I love this place😻😻. Everyone working there has so much love and care for all the animals that come to their location. I took my cat who had Hematoma in his left ear and the vet took such good care of my honey. Thank God he's still wearing the cone for another week but he's feeling so much better. Thank you so much !!!

We love Brown Creek Animal Hospital and have been happy with the wonderful care given to our four legged babies. The doctors and staff really do a great job, and make you feel like they are treating your pet as they would their own. Even when we have had kitties cross over the Rainbow Bridge, the staff was a great comfort to us. Plenty of time is dedicated to your visit and your needs are addressed and questions answered. The facility is always clean and pleasant smelling, with an upbeat atmosphere. I am thankful they are here for us and highly recommend them! ❤🐈⬛🐾
