Massage today is no longer a luxury, it is a necessity. Studies show that eighty percent of Americans will experience back pain at some time in their lives. We are forced to endure long commutes, manage high stress levels, and put ourselves at risk for repetitive use injuries due to our work, hobbies, and life in general.
Swedish massage, often called relaxation or wellness massage, is a great approach for a total body treatment that promotes a feeling of wellness and rejuvenation. Swedish massage uses a lighter touch than some other styles of massage and long, flowing massage strokes that help warm up your muscles and promote a calming effect through healthy touch.
Deep tissue massage is focused on pain relief through manipulation of soft tissue including muscle and fascia, so it is a great treatment if you've been experiencing chronic pain, have an injury, or lead an active lifestyle. Our massage therapists will use special techniques to address localized areas of tension.
Massage has many wonderful benefits for both mother and baby, and is a great way to nurture yourself and your baby through all stages of the pregnancy. Pregnancy massage focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and body tone, and relieves mental and physical stress.
Myofascial tissue interweaves and wraps muscles, and every division of tissue within the muscle. Normal fascial tissue should feel pliable and elastic. This tissue can be painful or problematic when it becomes stiff or starts to act like an adhesive rather than a lubricant in the muscle.

I signed up for a nutrition challenge with Britni Roy. Her knowledge and expertise on nutrition was highly valuable, and it was very clear she really knows her stuff! Personally, I was so happy to work with someone who was a woman, a mother and also truly studied in the area of food and nutrition. I feel like in this day and age, it's so easy for people to call themselves "coaches" after having done a couple crash diets themselves and can use Google and suddenly feel like they are qualified to help others with nutrition. This was not the case at all with Britni; her extensive experience

I have been doing macro counting and working with Jackie for a little while now. This is my 3rd session with her and I could not be happier! I have lost 22 pounds so far and haven't felt this good in a long time. My weight started to plateau (which is completely normal) and she knew exactly what to do for my body, and also knew exactly how to keep me motivated. Looking to bring my fitness up a notch or three, I contacted Jess about personal fitness training and nutrition consultation. In a matter of months, she had me in the best shape I could imagine, eating better than perhaps I ever have. Jess is patient, gives loads of workout options for home and away, and really is able to dial in to my needs...not just some standard repertoire she uses for everyone. I've taken a hiatus but I'm looking forward to returning to her program very shortly!

I can't say enough about JTB! I started going a couple years ago off and on, as my schedule allowed. Each class I took made me feel like a better person from the inside out. Now that everything is virtual, I am able to fit in an incredible variety of classes each week with multiple offerings everyday.
Jess and the team have gone above and beyond to connect with everyone and provide the same (if not better!) experience right at our own homes. The class schedule has something for everyone whether you need early morning, mid-day, or night. I'm especially loving the quick 20 minute noon time classes

This past weekend was my birthday weekend- and JTB made magic happen! Peter and Brenda were more then pleasant- and knew exactly how to fix us back into relax mode. This establishment was beyond beautiful- I mean I as a massage therapist would love to work here- everything about JTB is exactly how I imagined- again thank you to all!

What a great place! I've taken a couple of different classes at JTB and am beyond impressed with the experience. After my first class, new to yoga, I felt right at home. From the start of my first yoga class to my most recent hot yoga class, the experience has been wonderful.

I have had the pleasure of going to Jessica Jacques several times for massage and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the service. It was the first time I had ever gone for a professional massage and I was at ease the entire time and even fell asleep on my first visit. Jessica constantly learns her craft and I cannot believe there is anyone better!

UPDATE: I've now been taking yoga classes at JTB for about 6 months, starting with one of Jess's beginner yoga series and moving on to her JTB Flow and Ashley's Slow Flow and Flow & Restore. I also recently started dipping my toes into Jackie's HIIT bootcamps, and she deserves the cult following she's gathering. I still get massages here from Jess, Peter, and the other therapists as well. With the new salon they're opening, this will soon be a one stop shop for beauty and wellness.

I had a deep tissue massage last week with Aly and it was amazing. I carry a lot of chronic tension in my shoulders and when it gets really bad it causes radiating pain down my arm. Aly was able to really work deep into all my tight muscles and the next day I felt significant relief from pain I'd had for weeks. It was better than any other deep tissue massage I've had before and I will definitely be back!
