The humble beginning: Located in Dallas, TX, Second Side Yoga is a goal oriented boutique yoga studio in Uptown with emphasis on community and individual growth. Having grown from a small group of dedicated yoga students seeking an alternative to the formulaic ever commercialized yoga, we have developed into an integral part of the Uptown, City Place and East Dallas yoga community.
With our emphasis on personal growth in both mind and body, Second Side Yoga nurtures a sense of community by providing quality practice in a supportive, boutique setting. When you want something more than just a workout, you will find a home at Second Side Yoga. Why the name second side? We work both the right and left sides of our body in yoga.

Services
While your contribution for a single class is $20, 10 class pass (does not expire) is only $100, and an unlimited monthly rate is also $100 only. I won't be checking to see if you made a contribution. I let you be the one who lets me keep the studio open. My goal is to see you have a steady dedicated practice.
At Second Side, we cultivate environs in which instructors can share their passion and craft with those willing to learn, and in which students can develop their skills above and beyond those of their teachers. We have always believed that happy teachers teach better classes, and better classes make for happy students.
One Sunday morning she leads a class into prasarita padottanasana c / side straddle forward folding. We owe so much to Melissa for her consistent yoga practice, for enthusiastically bringing friends to class, for dedication to yoga. Rare beauty and kindness both inside and outside. Alex does one legged crow / eka pada bakasana in the background.
Immediate Warmth, Ahimsa, from Jonas upon Meeting him at the new studio. We attended the Acro class and the space was just freshly done. We even got to take the new mats out of the boxes and help put them together. The people, ohhhhhhh the people, heart centric overload! Amazing. Attended the opening with my Acro Girl Friends on Friday and everyone I met was just beaming.

Wow. Second Side was the burst of inspiration my practice needed. I haven’t felt challenged in a yoga class in a few years now and Jonas’ class was just what the doctor ordered. The studio was beautiful, warm and inviting. Jonas was awesome, funny and friendly. It was my first time practicing at Second Side and I immediately felt welcome by Jonas and the other students in the room. I’ll definitely be back!

I've been to dozens of studios nationally and this is hands down the best I've come across. Jonas is a true professional and an incredible teacher. I've attended his classes regularly for several months now and have seen substantial growth in my practice. There are many advanced yogi's here who are welcoming and inspiring. The studio also hosts outstanding workshops.

Jonas is the most talented yogi, and best instructor of yoga, I have ever encountered.
The classes are challenging, loose and open-ended, creative and fun.
Rank beginners, former and current athletes, and experienced yogis alike consistently benefit from and enjoy this studio. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

My girlfriend and I have been to Second Side a few times now and we love the space there! It is a very nice, professional studio. Don't be deceived by the storefront. Step inside and you'll see a beautiful newly remodeled state of the art yoga studio, with a 10 foot electronic fireplace and all! ...bathrooms are cool too. :) Jonas is the kindest man you'll meet with a very seasoned yoga practice!! He knows what he's doing! ... Good space, good yoga.

The community will continue to flourish

I'm not being hyperbolic to say that I have tried a LOT of yoga studios and teachers and Jonas is far and away the best. I really can't say enough about Jonas. Since I've moved away from Dallas, I've been looking for anyone who can come close to him as a teacher but after 3 months, I'm still searching. I still go every time I get back to town.

Jonas is one of my favorite yoga teachers. His classes are both fun and challenging, and he's always actively teaching you, not just telling what to do. Whether you are a novice (like me) or a cirque de soleil experienced yogi, you'll learn a lot (you can tell by the amount of super experienced yogis that take his classes). He always shows 3 ways to do the pose or the flows, so everybody in the class can go at their own pace and be challenged at the same time.
He makes sure that your form is correct at all time, coming from the rehab world, I know the importance of good form, and he

Jonas was my first yoga experience and it was absolutely incredible - singlehandedly convinced me to definitely pick up yoga. I had no idea it was such an incredible workout in every single way - upper body strength, core, flexibility...insane. Feels amazing afterwards, and is so calm and tranquil and relaxing once you finish.
Hands down, if you ever get the chance to do yoga with Jonas - don't even think about it. Just do it. Seriously. Stop reading reviews and just go to a class. You won't regret it, and it might just be the best decision you ever make.

Jonas is by far the best yoga teacher I've found in Dallas. I grew to love yoga when I was living in DC and came back disappointed to not find a yoga home here in Dallas... until I found Jonas. He somehow pushes every student to grow no matter what levels are represented in the class. I like to be challenged in yoga and this is one of the only places I've found that actually accomplishes that.
In addition to his excellent teaching style/abilities, this is one of the most welcoming yoga studios I've ever been to. Teachers almost always come introduce themselves to a new student

Jonas has a big heart and cares deeply for his students. I've been taught by him and taught with him over the past year, and he is committed to their growth and to his own growth as a teacher. He listens to feedback from his students and adapts to their needs, which I think is a great quality in a teacher.
He has a warm, laid-back attitude in his class i.e. its not stuffy or snobby. His classes are great for all levels because he will queue from the foundation of a pose to the more advanced stages. He also offers great verbal and physical adjustments to help you understand where your body

I've practiced with at least 30 instructors in Dallas, but Jonas is far and away my favorite one. He is challenging but is still accessible to beginners. He's the kind of teacher that develops a following because he exudes warmth, love, humor and kindness, he's straightforward and open, and he creates a playful tone in his classes where you can push yourself hard, fall out of poses, and laugh along with the person next to you about it. He takes the intimidation factor out while still being PHENOMENALLY good at yoga. If you are interested in doing all the cool arm balances and

I practice yoga with Jonas at least once a week and never felt better!
It's a challenging class with a variety of poses and arm balances that leaves me with the satisfaction of having pushed myself. Jonas is a great instructor providing guidance and even humor release. His students tend to consist of yogis who enjoy pushing themselves. I would suggest this class to anyone who enjoy yoga and especially to those who might want to take their practice further.
