Love this place I stay here every time I'm in San Antonio. Right in Downtown! Walking distance from the Rivercenter Mall. Right by the Alamo! The staff is amazing, and valet is professional. The complimentary breakfast was a buffet with so many choices, and it actually good. The beds are comfy, and the room is spacious. Can't wait to back to San Antonio.

Check-in with Eduardo Alcantar was fast and friendly. Room on the 6th floor with a view of the back of the Alamo was great. Valet parking with in/out privileges is $28++ per night. Breakfast was a full spread of scrambled eggs, sausage, refried beans, waffles, bagels etc. WiFi was fast. AC & TV worked well. There is a coffeemaker that we didn't use. Bathroom was a good size with fluffy towels. Location is excellent. Walking distance to Riverwalk, Alamo and San Fernando cathedral. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel!!!

Definitely one of scariest hotels I've ever stayed in! Last night was my bday, my husband knows I like spooky places gets us a room on 4th floor. The moment we walk in I snap a selfie of us..in the pic is a obvious weird white shadow mist across one side of my husband's face, I zoom in to look at the reflection I see in his glasses..its a clear older man's face! Later that night around 1030pm we go walking around and walk up stairwell to 7th floor I heard someone whistle directly behind me. We turn around take empty stairwell to 6th floor the moment we exit stairwell we hear whistling

Great experience and love the atmosphere here at the Crockett Hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The lobby is clean and inviting. The customer service is top notch.
It's a short walking distance to downtown San Antonio to the Alamo and Riverwalk. The historical hotel well maintained and managed.

I reserved my room on Hotwire and definitely feel like I got the deal of the century. The Crockett is a beautiful historic hotel adjacent to the Alamo and Riverwalk. When I arrived and walked into the lobby, it blew my mind. The brick face of the old hotel is now part of the lobby and goes 7 stories up. Lobby areas decorated for Dias De Los Muertos and is bright and colorful. When I checked in I asked for an upper floor room and the manager put me in a room on the 6th floor overlooking The Alamo and the park!!! It doesn't get better than that! The room is cozy but was clean and very comfortable

Wow! This is an absolute gem of a hotel right in the middle of historic San Antonio! The hotel is situated right across from the Alamo and the Riverwalk. So if you want to explore San Antonio's history without having to go far this is the place to stay.
Not only do they offer a prime location the hotel itself feels both modern and antique. It's very large and open inside and the details around the hotel make you feel as if you've stepped back in time.

We loved our stay here!! Right in the middle of all the action and walkable to so many things. We did not use our car the entire time we were here! Bonus points for a yummy, well stocked breakfast and free happy hour drinks and popcorn! I loved that our room overlooked the Alamo gardens and that we were in such a historical place. Gorgeous plantation shutters on all the windows and a beautifully shaded and secluded pool area.
My son and I really enjoyed our room and it was a bargain during the heat of August during a Texas summer. I recommend booking directly through the hotel's website

Barely leaving this hotel after a 4 night stay. It was an overall OK leaving 2 stars because of the nice friendly cleaning lady, had fresh and clean linens every day coming back from touring the city, otherwise would have left 1 Star. To start, first night we arrived our whole floor reeked of Clorox all over it was disgusting. It smelled every night. Our bathtub was clogged so you can imagine all the water accumulating while showering, the carpet was not the cleanest it looked dirty even when we would see them vacuuming the rooms in the morning, my husband who loves to walk barefoot, ended up with

THE CROCKETT HOTEL SAN ANTONIO, TX
A great visit to a great hotel!
If being in the heart of the action is what you're looking for, the Crockett Hotel is where you want to stay. That was what we were interested in and we were very happy to have stayed at the Crockett. We'll definitely be back to the hotel as well as we love San Antonio and everything it has to offer. Between the hotel being literally next to the Alamo, which is a great attraction, and across from the beautiful River Walk, the Crockett is an obvious choice of hotel with the most to offer. The staff are very helpful, and

Great location with the hotel being right across the street from the Alamo! The rooms were very roomy, but outdated. The bedding especially the pillows could definitely do with a refresher- holes in the sheets and extremely lumpy pillows! The breakfast could use a face lift-have seen way better at cheaper hotels. Plus the juices tasted extremely watered down.
The elevator is so tiny and rickety, when we used the luggage trolley we could barely fit two kids and two adults inside, and even then we were completely smashed against the sides.
We paid extra for a room with a view, but what they don

This is a good hotel in a good location right next to the Alamo So it was really easy to get around to everything. They say the place is haunted with the soldiers that died in battle here. As a group we decided to pay for the valet parking during our weekend stay so we could come and go as we please There are only two elevators for guests. Dollies are available for use so you can bring your luggage to your room but it is a tight squeeze in the small elevators but it fits And it's better than carrying your luggage yourself. Beds rooms and bathrooms were all clean. Sheets crisp and clean

Overpriced but great location. I wouldn't come again though. I don't think it was worth the fee. The breakfast is just okay, though you can get Texas-shaped waffles which is fun. Some of the rooms are interior-facing only so there are windows, but the windows just look out to the lobby. Odd architecture. They gave me one of these rooms and I felt claustrophobic, so I asked for one that had an outward facing window.

First impressions:
Our GPS took us straight to the entrance and parking lot. You have to pay 25 dollars whether you are doing a valet service or self-parking. I'm used to valet service and it's not a different price than self-self parking, so it's a good time to try it out if you've never done valet.
I have to say that Eduardo, the desk clerk, was very very affable. He consistently referred to me by my last name, inquired about my trip from home to the hotel, and asked if I had questions about the surrounding area or hotel while we waited for the computer to catch up with

Crockett Hotel is a "homey" kind of place to stay. With their bed and breakfast kind of service. If you're tired of the fancy structures and cool tech and complimentary things in your room. Then this place is right for you! Keeping it old school if you don't mind the decor. The service is great and everyone is polite. Had a hiccup on the temperature stats. But they got it squared off the next day for me!

Across the street from the Alamo (LITERALLY!)
Less than 10 minute walk from the Riverwalk (cross the street towards Morton's, enter the mall, go down the escalator, and voila!)
We were looking for a decently priced CLEAN hotel in a convenient location. This spot hit all of those points. For 130ish, we got a hotel with a whole lotta charm and 109 years of history in a very convenient location. Besides the missions, we pretty much just walked or caught a cab to our destinations.

My husband found this hotel at an amazing price on the Hotel Tonight app. It's right across the street from the Alamo!! Sweet! We had a corner room. Lots of space with a view of the Alamo. AC was wonderful, since it was humid outside.
Free breakfast in the morning was kinda cool. The usual breakfast food plus tortillas and beans and along with regular eggs, they had eggs with sausage in it, which was different for me to see in a free breakfast. The beans and eggs with sausage were tasty and really good.
You can also make your own Texas waffle!! This is a must have when you stay

There is something special in staying in a hotel that is over 100 years old. There is also something special about being in a hotel right next door to the Alamo ... Texas holy ground. That makes for a very special experience at the Crockett. The rooms are quite spacious, especially when compared to a "modern" hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.
Our bed was a bit on the firm side for my taste, but the bathroom was nice, and we had great water pressure, and all the hot water we wanted. The hotel also has a small, well appointed bar that is nice and quiet. It's a

Stayed at the Crockett for part one of a conference I recently attended. It's definitely interesting looking from the outside, and when the Super Shuttle dropped it off, it looked like Cinderella herself was staying there from the horse-drawn carriage sitting outside (this is, apparently, part of the "romance package" and can run upwards of $200 depending on the day, and what you'd like it to include, but I digress).
The check-in process was easy enough, although I noticed that the hotel is not accessible for anyone with mobility impairments. The second I walked through the
