The 2nd and 3rd generations of the Perkins family would like to welcome you and your family to the best kept little ocean front secret in Myrtle Beach. Our Grandmother, fondly known for generations as "Ma Perkins", opened the family's first motel here on her own in 1970, the Riviera.
She was quite something, and was truly one of Myrtle Beach's founding pioneers, working very hard with the other original hoteliers to establish the resort that Myrtle Beach is known world wide for today.Our Dad, David Perkins joined his Mom "Ma" after college and togehter they operated and built a tremendous business at the Hurl Rock Motel.

2. What is the difference between Ocean Front, Ocean View, No View, Street View room types? The motel is located directly on the ocean but the views of the ocean vary. Ocean Front rooms face directly toward the ocean. Ocean View rooms have a nice view of the ocean at about 45 degree angle. NO View rooms are all located on the first floor and may have a partical view of the ocean, a pool fence, a parking lot, or a retainer wall.
In appreciation of your loyal service we offer Veterans, Military, Police, and Firefighter discounts of 10% off regular rates. ID required at check-in for discount. Children ages14 - 17 or additional children including infants will be an additional $5 per night plus tax. Each additional adult will be $10 more per night plus tax.
In recognition of the challenges and changes that 2020 brought to all of us, we have decided to make our 5 NIGHT CASH SPECIALS less restrictive. These specials are now available to you when staying ANY FIVE NIGHTS throughout the year! This new policy will give you, our amazing Gazebo Inn family, more flexibility with your travel plans, and give our incredible and hard working crew the ability to accommodate more guests.
We are located directly on the ocean front and offer room types for most every budget to include direct ocean front, side ocean view, as well as street or no view accomodations. All of our rooms are equipped with microwaves, refrigerators and coffee makers for your convenience. Efficiencies are also available for a minimal additional charge in most room types.

Very clean motel at a great price with exceptional staff/owners. I have stayed here a few times with this week being the latest stay. I had a gazebo room which had a king size bed and everything I needed. Not to mention it was oceanfront with a balcony. It is one of the last mom/pop/family owned motels left in Myrtle Beach. I love it here and plan to return time after time. Thanks Julie and Rob for an incredibly relaxing stay and for making me feel like family. Your hospitality is the best!

I have recommended this place in the past BUT NEVER AGAIN. Aside from being dirty and overpriced, THE MANAGER/OWNER CHASED ME INTO THE PARKING LOT YELLING AND CURSING OVER A PARKING SPOT!! She called me a liar and threatened to throw us out with no refund. Completely unprofessional and rude and, frankly, INSANE!! Do NOT stay here!!

I love staying here! I am going to the beach about once a month or two months and this is where I stay! I love Julie there , she is always so friendly and helpful! All of them are so nice! It is an older motel but clean! I have never had any problems staying there! I have recommended it to many and will be back in a couple of weeks!

Love this place!! Ended up staying 3 times this year!! Every time was a perfect stay! We stayed in June, August, and October. Check-in is always quick and simple. Housekeeping is prompt and efficient. Love the quick walk to the beach... just past the pool and down a few steps and you are toes in the sand! Can't beat the price. And if you don't want to stay a full week check out the cash specials! Already planning our stays for 2019.

I found this gem based on Trip Advisor reviews. We had a reservation at a bigger hotel, but I wasn't sure about the condition of the other hotel and we were also trying to save some $. We canceled there and booked here. We made reservations over the phone with a one-night deposit and it was easy. Everything was smooth upon arrival and we got checked in easily. Our room was a double ocean view efficiency on the 4th floor (and my parents had ocean front king.) We actually didn't end up needing the efficiency kitchen, but it was nice to have the extra kitchen room. My parents had extra closet

Diamond in the rough? Well, probably more like ruff in the diamond. But come on where can you get this oceanFRONT view for under $70 per night? The only thing we thought it really needs is new carpeting throughout but other wise for the price, this Inn is clean and comfortable. So if you want beach front for cheap, this is the place to go. We also like that they support the vets like I do at www.hikefor.com/Neo/LT/2018 :)

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times per year since 2008, but I will not be returning. It used to have such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere but now there is absolutely no hospitality shown at all.
My family had a reservation for 3/6-3/9. We were not asked for a credit card number for a deposit, which we thought nothing of since about half the time they don't ask for one. The lady we made the reservation with asked what time we would be there and said check in is at 2. We said we would be there around 2 then.

I stayed here last fall and loved it. I'm giving it 5 stars not because it's fancy and had a ton of amenities, but because it was clean, safe, in a great location and had great customer service with free parking at a budget price. Plus, it's on the beach. Those factors are more important to me than other things. I would definitely go back and hope to this summer.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Gazebo Inn a few times and we absolutely loved it! The staff was very nice and accommodating, the private balconies are a great touch, and the rooms were very clean. We have stayed at the Gazebo Inn both during the summer and winter months, and no matter the season, fantastic experience!
We haven't always been the best guests-not very punctual, not always the tidiest; however, this was not an issue for the staff.
We were treated with respect which meant a lot to us as twenty-somethings on vacation in a party town.
The walls are totally sound-proof;

The staff is beyond rude, particularly the woman. She ran my sister's card twice for our entire stay, and instead of trying to fix the problem she took us around in circles, demanding our social security numbers "for identification," an unnecessary deposit of MORE money after she had tried taking double the amount, and then threatening to kick us out for being rude with no refund of any money, which is ILLEGAL. Gazebo Inn was everything we wanted and needed while we were visiting Myrtle Beach! It was inexpensive, on the beach, had a pool, friendly and clean. :) I liked that you need your key to enter the building after 1am - made me feel safer in an unfamiliar area? The area is completely safe though. There was free parking which was nice because we didn't use our car a single day we were there so it just sat in the free parking. Overall this was a great experience!
