Craig McKenzie, the owner, likes people to know that Jim's Auto Center is a family business. His wife Laura assists in the shop sometimes. His son Zachary used to work there, too. Now there are two grandsons ages 8 and 1 coming up to learn the trade. Craig McKenzie doesn't just work on cars, he races them too.
He's been racing for over 35 years. Every other weekend you might find him at the race track: National Trail Raceway, Summit Motor Sports Park, Dragway 42, Kil-Kare Speedway, Pacemakers Dragway. When he's not racing, he's riding. He and his red Harley-Davidson motorcycle go anywhere there are curves - and no freeways -especially eastern Ohio, in the mountainous, curvy areas.

Your standard exhaust system is designed to vent the burnt gases from your engine, while reducing noise as well as harmful emissions. After I got my car back it was still over heating so I took my car to a more trusted shop. I took it in to replace the radiator, water pump, thermostat and hoses. After telling them what Jim’s auto “did” they told me they didn’t get all of the air out of the lines and they triple charged me for parts and labor. After speaking with them all he had to say was “it’s not my fault”. Don’t take your car here for anything!!!

Actually I've been there many times under the previous owners who were wonderful people! My daughter had work done there. You told her she needed about $1200 worth of work done. We took it to another local mechanic and had $50 put into it and runs great! On top of that whoever she spoke with was not very nice to her.

Had to take my car in for repairs after I hit a large piece of semi tire debris on the freeway. I was referred to Jim's Auto by a family member, and was very pleased with the service I received. The damage ended up not being as bad as I was expecting, and they even discovered that my lug nuts were beginning to rust and recommend to have them replaced. When I drove away my wallet may not have been happy but I definitely was!

Brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. The owner came and explained every question I had and helped me understand an issue with one of my tires. I couldn't appreciate this shop more.
My car runs great, and is all pretty and fixed up.
They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. They were thorough and professional and fast.
