Well they started removing my really loose teeth so after that was done they made another appointment to remove the rest of them I had to wait two months for the next appointment the day before I was to come in I received a call saying the attending doctor had emergency surgery so I couldn't get my work done this was 3 weeks ago still no appointment now they know Temple doesn't take Medicare they are the only school in town that will not charge you a arm and leg. I had no problem until now with Penn Dental school they are the worst

First of all, if you are going to have any dental surgery, find out what kind of pain meds you will get post trauma.
I am writing from experience. The student doctors have always been really nice, as have the faculty. But recently I had a tooth pulled, it took about 5 hours, and guess what meds they gave me for managing pain? Ibuprofen 600 mg. I was in excruciating pain for more than a week, could barely eat anything which made it hard to take meds that require food first. My student dentist told me that this pain treatment was standard practice. I believe they have lost their minds, or could

I had a 1:30 appointment today. Showed up at 1:05. I was told to get there at 1:15 Checked in. I was sent to the wrong waiting room. Waited there for 30 minutes, from my 1:30 appt time decided to see what was up. I was told I was sent to the wrong room. Fine that happens. Ended up in the right room. Waited 30 more minutes. Checked to see what was up and asked for an eta. I was told at minimum another 30 minutes at best. Asked to cancel and they offered to reschedule. Joke is on them, I'm never going back to a place I need to wait an hour and 45 minutes again.

My daughter had her dental appointment today (at the Penn Dental, Berwyn location) for a permanent filling following a root canal. The doctor who treated her is good at his job but the nurse (btw her name is Tasha) who assisted the doctor was 'the nurse from hell'. She created a scene about not letting my husband be in the room during the procedure… when it was clear that my daughter was nervous about the procedure. My husband had to kick up a scene before another dentist intervened and diffused the situation. We are seriously thinking about choosing another dental practice for future appointments

Just had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Carrasco and his team. Really amazing job and although every patient is different, he was able to take all of mine out in less than 15 minutes.
I've also been here for an emergency appointment and the staff is really friendly and accommodating.
Very convenient to the 40th st station on the MFL line too.

I've been going to the family practice at Locust Walk for the past few years and the care I've received here is top notch. I've had extensive work done- Invisalign, dental implant, crown- and every doctor and assistant who have treated me have been amazing. I am so happy with the results of my treatment- my smile has been completely transformed. The entire staff, including the receptionists, are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.

I see a dentist and orthodontist at this practice since June 2017. Front desk ladies are always very nice. Never had any bad experience with them. Check in is a breeze if you have no changes in your information. The wait is a bit long but that is not too unusual at any dental practices.
I always feel well taken care of and both my orthodontist and dentist listen to my concern and address them.
Though, I do find this practice pricier than the previous practices I have been to.
I will keep coming back to this practice unless I relocate far away.

Overall I liked my service. DR. Sahni was thorough was my treatment and explaining the importance of hygiene. I would go back and I would recommend Penn Dental. The only reason I didn't give 5 star is because the front desk receptionist in Periodontal. When I asked for a work note she told me I had to wait for check out when I went back she was out to lunch...how stupid to only have one person working the check out desk. Now I have to call on Monday...most important my service was good.

I used to go to the dentist religiously before coming to grad school (didn't get dental insurance my first year). I would get cleanings 3x a year. Unfortunately I've skipped the last year as I decided $ was more important than dental health.
I visited Penn family dental twice before (once for an emergency due to pain and the second for extracting a tooth adjacent to my wisdom). I wanted a cleaning desperately as I was 1.5 years overdue. I scheduled something and have to wait 1.5 months to even get an appointment. The sad part is I was prepared for an appointment this morning only to

This is the worse place ever. I read the reviews before came in and I did not believe and decided to take a chance. Sooooo much regret. You have to pay a lot money anyway and the service they provide is slow and not accurate. Please, if you're reading this review do not take the chance to go to this place and feel mad because they are not doing their job right.

The pediatric dentist has the worst bedside manner I've ever seen. She seems to have no sense that children are human beings, and the office's idea of being "child-friendly" seems to be giving the kids a ratty stuffed animal to hold. She also kept us waiting for over an hour beyond our 7:45 am appointment time with no apologies, then was annoyed that I didn't make my 3-year-old son sit in the dental chair while we were waiting for her.
