BBQ Bus Smokehouse

We ordered ahead when this famous food truck came to our neighborhood. It was not cheap, but we love BBQ.
Feedback on BBQ Sampler: The Sampler photo shows "sliced" beef brisket. Our sampler had "chopped" brisket. The written description did not indicate "chopped." We prefer sliced. The pulled pork and chicken were good.
Feedback on Half Rack of Ribs: They were big, but very fatty. The meat was NOT tender. There was something about the taste (a spice or wood type?) that we did not like. It was as if someone had poured an entire bottle of liquid smoke on them.
BBQ sauces: Very good to excellent

I tired the BBQ brisket and ribs from their food truck with great disappointment. The meat have not texture at all as if it was made in a pressure cooker. Ribs are the same. I am particular about food texture and mouth feel and there might be people who actually like their food this way but I do not understand how these BBQ does have any no smoke flavor? Not recommended.

BBQ... very delicious. Super tasty. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.

Tried this for the first time from doordash during quarantine and it was delicious. The smoky pulled pork sandwich was huge and perfectly tender with great flavor combination. The Mac & cheese was good, and the greens were on the sweeter side. Will definitely eat here again.

My first hint of trouble was when the store didn't smell at all like barbecue. Or smoke. We tried the wings, smoked chicken, smoked turkey and pulled pork (they were out of brisket). Everything tasted uniformly of liquid smoke. Including the cornbread. It wasn't so bad that I spit it out, but it's definitely not something I'd go out of my way for again.

BBQ Bus catered for my wedding last week and we could not have chosen better! We knew the food would be great after our tasting, but the service went above and beyond. Che was so easy to communicate with prior to the event as we worked out the details. On the day of the event, Che and his team were flexible even with bad weather and running out of… wine mid-way through the reception. I had so many friends and family share with me how much they appreciated their service throughout the event. I could not recommend BBQ Bus more for any catering services needed!

BBQ is probably my favorite... and the bbq bus is a solid option. I experienced the food truck that stops on Massachusetts ave. I think they're priced reasonable for a food truck in this area. The sevice is lightning fast, my food was ready before I poured my sauce. The team was friendly, they let you try samples before you buy and that's a huge help when you're not sure what you're going to like or what you're in the mood for. I personally like my baked beans to have a sweet smooth character. Their beans have a sweet sharp vinegar taste, but they're still very good. The mac and cheese taste like

Their BBQ is the best in the DMV. I recommend their food which is absolutely amazing. The ribs are cooked to perfection. The brisket so tender and flavorful. The Mac and Cheese, so delicious.

Got the Angus brisket and it was perfect! Definitely the best bbq place I've been to inside DC. The sides we're okay, the fries could use some salt in that seasoning mix, but otherwise not a bad deal for $15.

BBQ Sauce #5 was so much love and the pull pork sandwich was outstanding. Can tell the baked beans was made from scratch which was refreshing. Mac and cheese was perfect

Great local spot for regional BBQ in upper northern DC. Friendly staff as others have mentioned. Good selection of smoked meats and associated sides. What I've tasted thus far is pretty good. They offer a mix of smoked meat sandwiches and platters sized for individuals or large party / family (latter called SUPER PACs). You'll occasional see entree or side specials at the front desk. Primarily a takeout shop but there's enough space for about 12 patrons to eat. 7 days a week but not super late hours. All fine. Hands down these guys cook THE BEST BBQ in the DMV. I love everything on their menu and have tried everything they had since they opened up. Their Baked beans and greens are perfect for a snack even if you're not hungry for BBQ. Atmosphere clean and friendly. This is a hidden gem in Brightwood. I hope they stay around forever!
