I've had the pleasure of dealing with General Home for a few years now. The level of professionalism Property Manager, Michelle DiPiazza possesses is unmatched. She gives prompt attention to service requests and follows-up promptly to ensure efficiency. The contributing staff is also a plus! I greatly recommend General Home for Property Management.

Tony, Michelle and the rest of the General Home team were instrumental in stabilizing our Detroit properties and getting them consistently cashflowing.
Their tenant screening process resulted in having reliable and trustworthy tenants.
They were also very honest and upfront about maintenance costs, repairs and what was worth holding off on and what was urgent to be fixed.
We loved working with the General Home team. Michelle and Tony were always very professional and friendly. We strongly recommend to anyone who needs a first rate property management team in Detroit.

I had the unfortunate experience of renting a home managed by this company for a year. Showing and signing was fine, everything after that was horrid. Come move-in the home wasn't clean, had literal holes in the walls, multiple carpet stains, the carpet in the basement wasn't attached to the floor anymore and nails were exposed, the landscaping was completely overgrown and neglected, the gutters were full of junk and much much more. The home simply wasn't ready for move-in and it looks like they barely did anything at all to prepare it. I still moved in and it took them months to even do the most

I have two properties with General Home Corporation Detroit Michigan. I am really glad I found them. I am also glad they have agreed to manage my properties.
My previous property manager was a great person too. However, he would take more than three weeks to respond to tenant maintenance requests. Sometime the maintenance and repairs by the previous management company would be left incomplete and I was never informed.
GHC property management proactively reminded me that:
1) my city property inspection was due
2) proactively contacted the city and setup inspection
3) followed up on inspection

We have 10 properties with General Home and are really pleased with their service. Our previous property manager would take time servicing tenants. If we had renovations they were always over budget and took longer than agreed. General Home has their own loyal trades who they've been working with for 20+ years. Quality is great, price is reasonable and delivery is on time. Finally, Michelle is a super star when it comes to tenant placement. The whole team is great. Prior to General Home - and we didn't know this - our property manager had such bad criteria selecting tenants. Michelle and the team

AWFULL EXPERIENCE !! Don t work with this company!! I found out my tenant left the house only three weeks after she did! No apologies of any kind. They forget to warn you but not to bill you the legal costs!!! .Their monthly management fee was normally 79 dollars but they have no problem billing you 237 dollars extra for management fees without giving you any reason even if they are not even able to do their job by calling you or sending you a mail about your tenant leaving. They over bill you for repairs..but even if you ask you never get to see the bill as they say they have a team doing the job

Don't get fooled by the $80 a month costs to Managment your property. These guys will make it up by charging a lot more for work. Their accounting is very convoluted since they deduct the expenses from previous months rent and not the current month. Also, they refill the reserve amount with a line item from the cash balance account so numbers are hard to follow. They charge $240 for snaking a sewer line that I get quoted for $130. All their work is a lot more expensive and sub par. I figured I would let them work on the house and keep things simple with the accounting but that was big mistake

I would not recommend this company for managing your home. We rented a house from them for just under 2 years. In all my time renting houses or apartments, I've never dealt with a company so unresponsive and difficult. It would take multiple phone calls, text, and e-mails over the course of several days to weeks to get a response to simple questions or requests. We would not hear from them except when they wanted routine maintenance performed on the house, and we were expected to pay for. In the end they will also nickle and dime you in refunding your security deposit; to include $10 to replace
