Kim opened SweetRide in 2010 after being laid off from a local Oil and gas firm. Noticing that there were many typical ice cream trucks around town she decided to start a truck that promoted the fun of sweets but without all the additives and preservatives that are commonplace in frozen treats served on most ice cream trucks.
Working with local and Chicago based dessert chefs she developed her menu to impress the taste buds of the most discerning foodies as well as the simple palates of children. In the summer months you can find her serving up the yum at corporate and private events. I'm such a fan of our Lemon and Mango Italian ice but you will catch me with almost everything from our menu!

We hosted an event for our patients and families and we were fortunate enough to find SweetRide Houston to cater it for us! Their ice cream treats were more than we expected them to be and they all tasted AMAZING. Our patients and families were delighted with their "work of art" treats. We booked SweetRide for a corporate event and they were amazing! Kim worked well with our budget and was always readily available to answer any questions. Not only are the ice creams and desserts delicious but also the team at SweetRide goes above and beyond to make sure all your guests are taken care of with warm customer service and a friendly smile. The day of our event they arrived early and easily handled our crowd of 200 guests. All of our guests raved about the selection of treats and how great they tasted, particularly the Italian Ice. Many came back for seconds. SweetRide is now our go-to ice cream truck for all future occasions.

Kim came out to the Pink Pigeons Sporting Clays Tournament with her INCREDIBLE tasty treats and everyone was isuper satisfied as she drove around the range offering her goodies!! She is THE BEST!!! The Pink Pigeons Sporting Clays Tournament is a charitable event that along with other events benefit the Pink Ribbons Project and Suites of Hope which provide funding for breast cancer education, awareness and support for women and men in the greater Houston area.

Our admin team ordered SweetRide! Houston for Teacher Appreciation Week, and let me tell you we felt VERY appreciated. Kim was so kind and was great at helping us figure out what to choose from out of all the drool-worthy options. From fat-free to 100% fat, they had something for everyone. I got 2 scoops - the 100% fat mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate ice cream. However, because I was very excited about their other non-fat flavors, Kim offered samples of strawberry and mango. All of it was delicious and very tempting! Such a fun surprise today. I'll definitely eat there again.

Amazing cold treats! I'm usually not a fan of dessert trucks because things are usually too sweet, but this was a wonderful surprise. I went back 3 times in 2 hours for the fruit shells. The coconut sorbet is light, flavorful, and perfect for a hot day. The mango tasted just like the fruit, but I could eat that coconut sorbet all day. My friend got the butter pecan and cinnamon rum ice cream - both were delicious!! Now I wish I had gotten a snow cone too.

Absolute heaven! I almost ruined a very good thing by adding toppings to get a sundae. But after a recommendation to try it simply as it was, I got the limoncello ice cream and fell in love. It was sweet, tart and so smooth and creamy. Seriously it was heaven! If you have the opportunity to try then, do not pass it up!! You will be happy you tried it!

HIGHLY recommend Sweet Ride and Chicago Kim! Amazing Italian ice and the most creamy, tasty ice cream ever.... But the winner at our neighborhood party was the "sno-growns" for the adults!! She was very accommodating and worked with our crazy schedule. Kim also has a heart of gold - she had donated her time and her product for a silent auction for one of our favorite charities, PugHearts. I got into a bidding war for this bc I knew what a hit it would be for our neighborhood. Kim and her team far exceeded our expectations and we will be calling her again!!!!

We had Sweet Ride out to our neighborhood party and they did a great job. Great communication, great service, and tasty frozen treats for the kids and the adults.
Kim was a great ambassador of the sno cone. Her sorbet was my second favorite behind the sno grown.

Every year I do an Ice Cream Social for two of my buildings on the north side. This years challenge was since my buildings were 100% occupied I did not have the space to hold the event inside the buildings. And then the thought hit me..."Wouldn't it be great if I could find a Gourmet Ice Cream truck???" and thankfully my internet search found SweetRide! Houston!!!

I simply can't sing enough praise for Kim and her crew. I used Sweet Ride for a promotional event (and it was pretty complex and demanding) and Kim could not have been more accommodating and supporting.
The feedback for the goods (ice cream, italian ice, truffles, sammies) was OFF THE CHARTS. I don't know where this stuff comes from, but everything I tasted was absolutely amazing.
As far as I can tell there is nothing better in Houston. I couldn't have been more satisfied at any point of this process--from planning, to execution, Kim was on her game!

We had sweet ride cater an event last year and it was awesome. the ices are incredibly refreshing & tasty. plus, kim was a joy to work with. she very communicative throughout the entire process and her positive attitude is contagious.

What does my tattoo say? sweet! ok, but what does it say? sweet! ok, anyways, so this mobile ice cream truck is totally awesome. it's not your average ice cream truck, like the one you used to chase down the streets with your dollar waving in the air when you were a kid. no, no, no, that was so 1980s (o crap, did i give away my age?). think of that same truck post puberty and all grown up. yes, this is the ice cream truck for adults, with sophisticated sweet treats for the grown up palate. the menu changes, depending on the event, but they offer sno cones, sno cream, chocolate ice cream
