It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done.
Tony D'Agati inspected my home in Methuen. He was outstanding and very thorough. I am a single Mom buying the home on my own. Tony went out of his way to not only show me any concerns but to explain why it is necessary to fix the problem. Tony spent over 2 and a half hours answering all of my questions.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Tony for almost 3 years and through 4 home inspections. Tony was easy to work with, funny, personable, and most importantly he was direct and firm in his inspections. When we had an offer accepted on our first home my wife and I were overjoyed. Tony must have spent 4+ hours going over every little detail of that house from the foundation to the roof. I was shocked at what he found that I simply never would have seen. Tony was extremely patient and thorough! I arrived at my home inspection 30 minutes early, and he was already there - preparing and making observations and notes about the exterior of my home. Tony D'Agati did a fantastic job on our house inspection. He was very responsive and able to schedule our inspection on short notice. During the inspection, he was extremely thorough and answered all of our questions. He let us know what was an issue now, as well as what could be an issue down the road. He turned around his report the same day, and it was thorough, detailed, and provided pictures that were helpful both to us and to the sellers.

As first time home buyers, we found D'Agati Home Inspections to be thorough, explanatory and generally wonderful to work with. Tony spent four hours with us going through the home - inside and out - explaining what he saw, both good and bad, and how that could impact the house and us in the future. My husband and I used D'Agati Home Inspections services while purchasing our new home and were very well informed as to the entire home inspection process. We couldn't have asked for a better home inspector than Tony. He was very thorough, walked the entire home with us, and encouraged questions along the way. He pointed out things that most people would not even think to look for.
