No social distancing, no one wears mask, no one asks about exposure. The teacher walks around the room, sprays stuff on you.
I'm coming from DC, where hot yoga classes make people stand 10 feet apart when they take off masks, and people are required to enter with masks on. This studio has enough space, I don't understand why they can't do that as well? I understand the business has to do what it has to do to stay open...but this is irresponsible.

I don't feel safe here, can't afford to get sick again.

This place is fantastic! Everyone that works there is amazing and super personable. There is a class for everything and everyone , whether it is relaxing and meditative to pumping music and energetic, to everything in between.

Hot Yoga University is my favorite yoga spot in town! Not only are the classes wonderful (and it isn't all just hot yoga, btw-- there are some fabulous yin/yoga nidra classes, too), but the teachers and community are fabulous. Effie & Carol are fantastic teachers who are some of the most warm and welcoming people at a yoga studio I've ever met. I always felt a bit like an intruder when I'd go to Spirit of Yoga, since many of their teachers and students are so focused on the training program. It being my first time doing anything yoga like, I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the instructor, Emma, explained each position, gave tips on how to execute them and then talked us through each transition. I didn't know what any of the terms or names were, but felt as though I was guided through the entire class and ended up getting a lot out of the class. I will be back and recommend this place for anyone looking for a hot yoga spot, whether you're a beginner or veteran.

I am so happy i found this place !! yesterday was my first day. I felt so welcome and comfortable. I decided to come back in today and bring in my husband and he loved it as well !!! We are both hooked and will be signing up for our future classes . We are truly blessed to have found this practice. This is definitely life changing , i should have done this a long time ago. This yoga studio is truly next level. I have been coming here on and off for years. Until this morning, I truly did not think the studio become any better. Since Covid and the studio coming under new ownership, changes have been made. These changes of not only the physical space but the practice as well are subtle and humble, yet significant. The welcoming, positive, supportive environment is enough to make someone want to stay all day. Can't wait to spend more time here!

Get ready to sweat in places you didn't know you could sweat. HGU is a great school for hot yoga and hot pilates. The classes are challenging. The temperature gets you pouring sweat within ten minutes. The place is clean, but not bougey. There are bathrooms, a water fountain, and shelves for your stuff. The sessions are affordable (I got a ten-pack for $99, good deal). The teachers are cool; Kim is really nice, Lauren's class is pretty hard. Music gets you pumped. If you live in the vicinity and want to try this activity, I'd recommend Hot Yoga U.

Integrity. Something I definitely don't see at hyu. Really frustrating and honestly i just find it morally wrong what hot yoga university has done and I'm probably not the only one this has happened to. I am a full time student and I work full time as well. Any money that is left over that doesn't go into savings I like to spend on myself, particularly on activities. I chose to go for some hot yoga at hot yoga university (after searching for a hot yoga studio for weeks that I could afford) 5 days before they temporarily closed which turned into a permanent closing. The best hot yoga studio in Scottsdale. Their teachers are so skilled and helpful. Shoutout LJ for waking me up during those early-morning classes and always bringing delicious muffins. This is also one of the few affordable yoga studios in the area. I may not be able to continue my yoga practice if it weren't for their fair and reasonable pricing. Love you guys

Booked and paid for a class online so I would have a spot while there are less spots due to covid precautions. Showed up and the room is packed. Was told people came together. I am not sure why this means they should not 6 foot distance from me. And this is when covid is blowing up in AZ. I am so disappointed they are not following the guidlines they set to keep us healthy. I will not return.

I LOVE coming here to do yoga on Thursday's for student's day. Everyone on the staff, especially Effie and Greg, are great! However, I came in today and had a bad experience with an older lady. I'm not sure if she's new to the team, but she gave terrible customer service to my cousin. She was not friendly at all. I'm not sure if she was already in a bad mood because the credit card device was taking forever. But after paying for a mat, my cousin wanted to get a water because she realized she forgot hers. She asked her for one and she caught an attitude saying, "

All I can say is wow, this place is awesome! I took the yindra class on Friday and it was the best thing that happen to me all week. The instructor was awesome and she had her sons tribute band playing during class which was the perfect melody for our namaste. When you register with the studio and give them your email they send you a free class for your Birthday, I have gone two years in a row and enjoyed both classes. I cannot say enough about this studio. The prices are the best you will ever find and there is no loss of quality for the lower price. I really appreciate that HYU keeps yoga an accessible and affordable activity and that they do such a good job.
The bathrooms, room, and waiting area are clean and the place always smells good.
In the locker room, changing area - hair ties, face wash, feminine products and body wash are always available. If you forgot something at home they usually have it. I LOVE this studio and appreciate that they exist in the valley. Thanks HYU!!!!!
