Julienne's had all along been a secret jewel. With the passing of its founder and the COVID pandemic, much of the French coziness and normality have unfortunately been lost. But be assured, there is still quite a bit of its original spirit left. The inside has lots of beautiful items and just looking at the displays is a pleasure in itself. Even if the place is not a classical dine-in anymore, but items can either be taken as prepacked portions from the shelf or fridge, there is still the outdoor seating area underneath the arcades, which is a wonderful place for a coffee and some brownies

Really disheartening to see such a long standing establishment of quality "made when you order" food disappear under the name of Julienne's cafe. Times are challenging indeed but for the sake of the name, history and what's left of their reputation, drop the pretense of a cafe. If catering and marketplace is the focus given the rise of home cooking and take out, then rebrand as a quality market to save customers from the disappointment of a fresh, al fresco meal in the patio.

Very disappointing. I have visited the store several times as I live in the neighborhood and I can honestly say that the business has suffered. The owner is awful. She stands at the doorway shouting orders that people and sending people away. Honestly very disappointing. For some reason they cannot make a coffee for you in the general store, do you have to go next-door to the side café. But then you have to go back until the general store to order your other food items. I think the worst thing about this place is that so many of the wonderful waitstaff have left because of their awful boss. Thumbs

12/14/21 Loved the reviews & the creme brûlée bread pudding drew my husband & I in....sadly, they no longer have it on the menu. Blame it in the pandemic.

On a rainy & windy day it was very cold but the heat lamps came on strong & aren't adjustable. Food arrived quickly in bamboo looking paper plates. The breakfast burrito was small, hubby says "it's alright, but too much potatoes more than anything" The quiche lacked oomph & flavor & the open faced salmon was on

My friend and I came here for brunch recently not having realized that they converted from the restaurant they once were to a cafe. Whether that affected the taste or preparation of the food currently offered on the limited menu, I will never know. What I do know is my breakfast burrito was teeny tiny and not worth the price tag in either taste or size. The latte was also mediocre. And the wait time for this average at best meal was incredibly long.
They also have a shop inside where they sell a bunch of knick knacks and some prepared foods. The shop is cute and definitely worth checking out

Well, what is left of this cafe is highly mediocre. Table service is no more. It's an adequate coffee shop with some vaguely stale baked goods now.
It still looks lovely and has a bunch of pricey candles and Knick knacks, but all the good breakfast food (and delicious bread) is no more
I had the quiche, which was mediocre and clearly reheated after being made some time ago. The latte was fine, not great. My husband had the famed bread with the jam, which looked stale and tasted worse, apparently.
I doubt I'll ever bother to return. Clearly I'm not the only one who feels this

They forgot to add "cafeteria" to their name because this is exactly the quality here.
Nothing is made fresh, not even the breakfast burritos and the sandwiches are wrapped heavily in plastic. When we arrived they were almost out of the (pre-made) tarragon chicken sandwich, but an exception was made for a fresh one.
One whole sandwich and a 1/2 sandwich with a bag of chips and a plastic cup of fruit, $36. The sandwich bread was dry and the chicken salad had little flavor.
I'd rather go to Jersey Mike's, made fresh, cheaper, and it actually has some flavor.

This place is truly charming. It was a 15 minute walk from the Langham hotel and worth every step. Great outdoor patio with heaters. The menu is huge so it's difficult to decide what to eat. I actually made two trips here during my weekend stay. Everything was delicious. I got the open faced salmon sandwich... which is a very small portion.. but very good. It's on the pricier side but food quality is excellent. Egg salad was delicious too. There is a nice shop attached to the cafe which also has pre packaged food. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

I have been eating at Julienne for 28 years now and have truely loved every bite! I just went for the first time since the Covid lockdown and was quite disappointed. It's turned into an upscale takeout restaurant! It sounds like they don't plan to go back to their former, charming atmosphere....so sad to loose one of the greats.

Ambiance: cozy and stylish cafe and boutique market, outdoor seating only, there's plenty street parking in front of this establishment, it has two parts you could order from, though they share the same kitchen, one side has fewer items and they would reheat the items for you to dine outside, the other side is more like the market place, majority pre-cooked food is served cook and charged by weight and good for to-go
Service: very friendly and super patient with questions, when I asked about the difference of their menus from two sides, and the specialty of their daily offerings

I stopped in today to find that this once Fantastic restaurant no longer serves their amazing menu lunch and dinners. But instead they serve food in container or to go to be warned up at home. I've never been so heartbroken knowing that I can no longer have that delicious meatloaf and rosemary mashed potatoes ever again.
I have taken so may of my friends and family in the past and I'm sad to say I won't be going back to Julienne any longer. Even though they have food items and the meatloaf, every thing is refrigerated and needs to be warmed at home. And let's face it. It

The best thing on the menu before was the creme brulee toast, it was so good, BUT for whatever reason, they removed it from the menu. Baffling, I know. It was the only reason we kept coming back.
Other than the stellar Brulee, the food is so-so for the price. The location is okay but quaint. It has a small bakery/shop on the side.

The Quick: Fantastic food, family owned, perfect for large group and incredible for to-go orders.

Heard so much about this place from our friends in our neighborhood. We also wanted to visit this place and have breakfast here to reminisce our Paris trip in the past.
But when got there this morning, we found out that they only serve a few items for breakfast during this covid time. We went inside the pastry shop to see what we can get to take out. Looked like they don't have much on offer. We were totally disappointed as we have planned this visit for awhile and so looking forward to dine here. I did managed to get a piece of quiche to go.
