There are a lot of reasons not to rent from Eastmore but here are a couple:

The accountant at the main office, Kiera, is actually inept. After one of our online payments was rejected we had to pay by check for a few months. The office hasn't been open to the public for a couple years so I dropped the checks in the mail slot. Fast forward 2 weeks and we get an eviction notice for ONE missing payment, which I'm sure I dropped off. I contact them a few times because you're never able to talk to someone right away (they don't answer the phone) and they are adamant that they never

They get a one star because a zero star isn’t an option. This is a horrible company to rent from. When my daughter was threatened by another tenant (the police had to be called and suggested my daughter move for her own safety!) Eastmore offered sympathy and verbally committed to help. That didn’t last. While they accommodated a move to another one of their apartments, they took advantage of the situation for their own financial gain. One of the girls involved was EXTREMELY slow and unresponsive when urgency was necessary. When my daughter’s lease ended, they charged her for “patch and

Been renting from Eastmore for two years. Never had any issues with them. The biggest problem I've found is that most of their building don't have enough off street parking to go around.

Managment company didn’t reply to messages about internet being out for 4 days despite it being a utility included in rent. Couldn’t work either because of WFH.
On a weekly basis neighbors will get into screaming matches in the middle of the night and if you’re lucky you’ll get to meet “Crazy Frank” from the 6th floor and deal with him screaming at you.

I wouldn't rent with them again. Poor communication with the front office. I had a terrible experience with the local apartment manager, I called the office for help and they basically left me hanging. Trying to get answers that the local manager couldn't provide seemed difficult. Hard enough to have them answer a phone call let a lone return one. I regret renting through them. They raised rent even though they had things breaking inside the building, seems reasonable, right? I would research extensively when thinking of renting an estate of theirs.

I would recommend this rental management company to both my friends and family. They are professional and accountable. I can rely on things getting fixed promptly. The building is always clean/tidy and the lawn is well manicured. Also, auto bill-pay is a nice feature.

I have been living here since June 2016 and have had only good experiencs. My property manager is great, friendly and approachable. Maintenance requests are tended to within a day and many times the same day I put the request in. Everyone in the office is helpful. It's affordable with all of my utilities bundled with my rent (besides elevtric). Only downfall is no pets.

Wonderful company to work with. Repairs are fast, the people are kind, and the rent is fair. I've lived in my apartment for almost a year and a half and I would highly recommend them.

Background: I pay $800/month for a large first-floor apartment on a busy East Side street.

Do not rent from Eastmore--they've messed up multiple times with me:

-They painted my windows shut and ignored the problem for months. They even sent me a letter threatening to turn off my heat if I didn't close my windows, even though I told them MULTIPLE TIMES their workers painted my windows shut in the summer while they were open, and I was still unable to close them.

-They showed my first-floor apartment and left every single light on and blinds open for three days despite telling them

I had a great experience renting from Eastmore. I lived in the 4246 South 60th property for about a year. The onsite manager was excellent, and the office staff was always helpful. The apartment was kind of old, but overall, no complaints. They were prompt with deposit return as well.

Prospective tenants are required to enclose the entire security deposit with the rental application - NOT the lease. For example, if five people apply for a $1000/month apartment, Eastmore will have $5,000 in deposit funds - all prior to anyone's approval.

Here's the copy, from their rental application:

"If this application is accepted within five (5) business days and I fail to sign and deliver a lease to the property manager, security deposit money paid and any subsequent payments will be retained as damages, subject to the duty of leasing agent to mitigate."

If your application

I have lived in an Eastmore building for almost 3 years now and have never had any major problems. The office is quick to respond during the day but in the evening, the building managers are a bit lacking, and they take forever to shovel the snow.

Overall, great prices and they make it so easy for a first time renter to get electric set up, cable/internet set up, etc. The office people are always very friendly and helpful whenever I have had a question and they understand that they have a lot of students living in there buildings. My building was (almost) always quiet although close to Oakland

I have lived in Shoreland Manor for almost two years now and I love it. One of the things that make this building so great is the management. My landlord Aaron is always cleaning around the building and very responsive to everyone's needs. The ladies that work in the management office are also very helpful and nice. I had some maintenance issues and it was taken care of early the next day. compared to other apartments I have lived at, the management here goes above and beyond. I would recommend Eastmore Properties to everyone.

I recently scheduled a tour of one of Eastmore's available apartments, and the person that I scheduled the tour with never showed up. After driving 25 minutes to the unit and waiting outside of the unit for an additional 30 minutes, I find it extremely unprofessional that the she has yet to respond to my calls.

Regardless of this, I was still interested in touring the apartment so I called the Eastmore office to see what I could do. The person I spoke with at the office was apologetic and told me that the leasing manager would give me a call. It's now been a few days and I have yet

The people that own these buildings are the biggest wastes of life you've ever met. Jeff Hutter, their office manager, will try to skin you for every dime you've got. Don't count on getting your security deposit back, because Jeff will find a reason to keep it from you. He blamed my girlfriend for things that were wrong before she even moved in. They do not paint, repair windows, or do any sort of maintenance. AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS!

Eastmore was good to start out, I liked my property and it was clean. VERY unfriendly landlord, would pass by in the hallway without even saying hi or making eye contact. Upon moving out they charged $100 early move out fee for not giving the proper 60 day notice. We gave them 58 days. The $100 was used for "advertising costs" and "showings..." they showed our apartment twice in the same open house before it was taken, something they would have had do regardless of a 60 day notice. We were charge $190 for an unclean oven. (just the inside) and $8 for 2 missing lightbulbs. We

Careful before renting from Eastmore Real Estate. Not only are there office employees difficult to work with, including owner Leonard Sobczak, they are also known to place unwarranted fees on security deposit. I lived at 2011 E. Park Place for 2 years. During this time, I installed a ceiling fan, painted walls, and did all maintenance on own unit to make it a comfortable place to live (free of service charge). Apartment was really in great condition when we left. After 22 months my fiancé and I bought a house and leased unit to individual through craigslist (love craigslist). I gave individual
