I lived here from 2019-2020 and my experience was absolutely horrible towards the end of my tenure at York. The leasing office is unprofessional, rude, and unresponsive. Property Owners are just as unprofessional and rude and nonresponsive.
You wait weeks and weeks for a response to a maintenance call. Moreover, even emergency calls aren't expedited. Garbage room stinks to high heaven. Overcharge on fees and NEVER willing to accept any responsibility for outages (water, AC/heat) or any other issues that may occur in the apartments or complex.

I lived here from 2002-2012 when it was called the Colonade. Interesting to read that same problems (outages of heat, hot water, AC, mice, poor maintenance) STILL exist 9 years later...even though there were extensive "renovations" done to both buildings. Should have focused on REPLACING the outdated HVAC system and boiler before any renovations were done. What's the point of a luxury apartment if you're freezing in the winter, sweating in the summer and unable to take a hot shower?

I have lived here for 34 months. Luxury Apartment my eye!!! At first the granite tops and slate floors were beautiful. They changed management about every six months security guards, and maintainece change like a blink of your eye. My whole apartment’s floors had to replaced. They did. 1 year later the new floors that was laid had to be replaced again!!! Hazadious gaps in the floor for the pass year. Ms. jasmine was the worst property manager ever! We have been viewing properties and apartments all week. Derrick was outstanding. ! Very professional, calm and not anxious. We did not feel rushed , he answered questions efficiently and honestly. We walked into the building and the staff was very accommodating. We were greeted warmly and taken care of right away. Derrick took us for a tour of an apartment. It was very bright and clean, even inside the dishwasher and refrigerator. Derrick was extremely helpful. He had knowledge about the area and he answered all our questions. Another young gentleman gave us a tour of the gym and rec area. He was very pleasant too. Overall a great experience.

I never lived here and thank goodness for that. We were moving to the Philadelphia area for my wife's work. Our house sold amazingly fast and we needed a place to live. 100 York had the location and space we wanted to live in while we tried to wait out the crazy housing market.

I’m very very happy with my experience here at 100 York. Kevin Williams made the tour and application process easy and very professional. Derrick Peprah made the move in process easy and accommodating. I’m impressed with the building, the amenities and my apartment is to my liking. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy to deal with the management at 100 York. After some unforeseen circumstances, I had to break my lease early on. The process took months and the management at 100 York and Metropolitan Properties were all unprofessional, lazy and rude. No phone calls or emails would ever be returned unless I called every single day and left messages, because no one ever answers their phone. When I would get a email back from the property manager, she would answer one question and ignore all the rest.

This place is terrible. There was no management, everything was falling apart, mice everywhere, fire alarms went off all the time. The elevators were constantly down, floors were falling apart, multiple broken pipes and water leaks, bathroom ceilings falling in from water damage. Since everything is breaking all the time the water and AC or heat and constantly being turned off for repairs. The AC gets turned off in September so they can turn on the heat. Your apartment will get unbearably hot and the heater constantly leaks hot air into your apartment. If a washer or dryer was not working the management

Today is 10/02/20, nothing has been fixed. It has now been 4 weeks. No exterminator or mold removal. I have contacted a tenant rights group. They've informed that I should withhold a portion of the rent considering this issue has been put in writing and still has not been resolved. I am reporting this issue to L&I. Oh and Ariel C., I am definitely a current tenant call your property manager and ask about the complaints I spoke directly with her about on 9/30/20.

Please do not rent here. The power outage happened for at least 6-7 times in the past few months. In the time of Pandemic, when many people are working from home power is the basic necessity. I myself have lost 3 days of work due to power outage. On top of that money spent on eating out due to no electricity is added money spent. And they won't even take responsibility. They said the power company PECO is responsible. and PECO says it was never their issue. Irrespective, it is the apartment's management responsibility even if its a 3rd party issue. They will not compensate in anyways

F you're apartment hunting, my advise is simple: STAY AWAY!
There's always a bunch of apartments available, tells you how popular they are!
On the move in date, we had a huge leak in the ceiling that needed extensive repairs, and no one bothered to check the apartment beforehand! Then they had another similar unit available for same day move in.
Building is old, no isolation, gets real hot in summer, AC breaks sporadically, repairs are happening all the time. Winter is just as bad, no central heat / air, and no thermostat in unit.

This place is a joke all they want is your money, and what you do pay is overpriced for what you are getting. Constant issues with the apartment. In all locations there is black mold in the building and everywhere; they just paint over it so it doesn't show. Water leaks in the apartment which also leads to mold. I've had them fix the problem once and they clearly didn't do a good job as result it came right back, in the winter months there were rats and mice everywhere and the staff was trying to blame it on tenants. Now today in the midst of summer the power has been out for 24hrs

As a new resident this place is the worst. Clearly this will end up in litigation and I welcome it.
No hot water, no safety, GAS LEAKS, CRIMINAL illegal garage lock out. BROKEN DOORS TO A SECURED AREA.
WATER DAMAGE NOT ADDRESSED. HEAT OPPRESSIVE. Constant electrical trips that are being reported today. Paint and lead chipping regularly. Son has had to be rushed to emergency appointments because of the heat issue.
And when u complain they retaliate...by locking my child and myself out of the garage WE PAY FOR. Moved in April still waiting for a MAILBOX KEY. Property Management is useless

This is the worst apartment buildings that I have lived in, Everything looks shiny and new but its horrible. The air and heat are always going out. I wake up to cold water, unable to get ready for work. I have put the same work orders in over and over with no result, Now they are adding all these rules to the amenity building, I can no longer have my trainer with my in the gym( Or anyone else for that matter). I use to have a few people over to play pool or have book club in the club house and now i can only bring 1 person in. Which doesn't make sense because i'm always the only person

We moved out after our 1 yr lease was up in May 2018. It seems nice at first glance...newly renovated, has nice amenities like gym, pool, pool table, movie room, etc. All that stuff doesn't matter when there is not heat for days at a time in the heart of winter after you are paying you rent and utilities on time! And they offer putting you up in a hotel that is further out in the suburbs which is already inconvenient since its not your home. But even more so when you work downtown and now your morning commute is now longer. The ac also didn't

I strongly suggest that you don't live here. Look passed the fact that it's a "nice" apartment and that the location is pretty good, if you like the downtown lifestyle in the suburbs. There is NOTHING that these people do right. Heat in the winter? Don't count on it, it takes 3 weeks to get that turned on. AC in the summer? Don't count on it, they tell you that it's a luxury and that it's "unfortunate" that it's hot because it's not being turned on until Memorial Day. The management and staff are all great and super friendly! I love the gym, it is by far one of the best I have seen in an apartment complex. I also cannot wait to use the pool in the summer time. Everything looks great at first glance here, however there are still many issues with this building. We have only been here a few months and have already experienced no hot water, several issues with no heat and smaller minor inconviences. Not to mention the constant sound of smoke detectors going off with low battery signals.
