Our friendly optometry team is our greatest asset. They love what they do, and they care personally about getting the best results for you. We are proud to offer eye exams using state-of-the-art optometric technology, the finest lines of daily and recreational eyewear, sunwear, and friendly, professional service.
Whether you're looking for quality in your eyeglasses, contacts, or in the standard of care you receive from your optometrist, The Eye Group eye care center stands for quality in eye care in Knoxville. Unlike items that people purchase often during the year, it can be difficult to judge quality in a pair of glasses.
Our doctors and staff look forward to showing patients why private practice eye care is a better option for your vision needs. You'll find a visit to The Eye Group to be thorough, enjoyable and affordable. We will also gladly file for most vision insurance plans, making the process as easy as possible for you!
Comprehensive eye exams are integral to your overall health. According to the CDC, "An estimated 93 million adults in the United States are at high risk for serious vision loss, but only half visited an eye doctor in the past 12 months." The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends that adults aged 18 to 60 should get their eyes examined at least every two years.

This has been my eye doctor office for 22 years. While on vacation, I lost a contact and had no extra. Of course this was my fault, but I expected The Eye Group to offer some kind of help in this situation... maybe suggest a doctor in the area that would let me buy a contact or offer to overnight, BUT NO. A girl named Macy was not kind on the phone at all and said they'd offer no help since my Rx was expired. All I needed was one contact to hold me over until I got home to my stash. I'm VERY blind (-5.5) and no contacts isn't an option. Dr. Manning is awesome and Patty at the front

After going here several times to try to get new contacts and continuously getting the wrong ones I finally settled on some. Oddly the suggestion was one multi vision contact in one eye. That helped for about 2 or 3 months and then I was right back at square one. AND I bought a years worth! On top of all of this I had insurance, paid my out of pocket as their policy demands each time I went. Suddenly almost a year later I get a phone call from a collection agency stating that I owe the Eye Group over $200! WTH!! I have left them several voice messages and nobody will call

This place is really top notch! Easy parking, neighboring food options, and the inside is beautiful. It was a great experience from setting up the appointment by phone to picking out the glasses. The employees were super sweet and Dr. Dutton was great. Everyone we encountered was in a good mood. The exam was very thorough, but I was in and out within 1 hour. I definitely suggest looking into them for your eye care needs.

My family has been going to the Eye Group for many years, and they are the best in the business. I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Lain and the staff here. You can tell that they really care and they go the extra mile for their patients. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

DOCTOR ASSAULTED ME IN THE CLINIC

I went there in 2009 when I was 19. I had horrible service, as a person with Aspergers some of the tests they make you do are extra difficult due to sensory issues. I had said I did not want to be dilated and my mom said I didn't. after a couple minutes of back and forth Dr. Lane had assaulted me in the lab where he FORCED my head back and put dilated my eyes and I had to drive home.

to be completely fair part of the reason he probably was so rough was I wasn't the nicest person when I was in high school with his daughter. However I had to transfer
