There are a number of physiological and mental benefits associated with the heat. Doing yoga in the heat increases your heart rate, which creates a cardiovascular workout. It also allows you to stretch safely through a greater range of motion than if you were practicing yoga in a cold room. In fact, yoga is one of the best things you can do to improve your flexibility.
Core 26 is a beginner level class created for total body health, done in a room heated to 105 degrees. It works to tone the muscles of the body, strengthen the joints, and create freedom in connective tissue which will result in greater agility and flexibility. Your heart rate will rise by design, providing a cardiovascular workout for your arteries.
Strength and Conditioning is a combination of yoga, physical therapy exercises, muscle testing, strength training, and myofascial release. It is designed to increase body awareness and improve your yoga practice as well as your overall fitness by building stability, balance, stamina, and muscle tone, and improving your alignment.
As parents and caregivers of young children, your yoga practice plays a huge role in maintaining your physical, mental, and emotional-well-being. It's also the time when your yoga practice tends to fall off the radar as a result of time and financial constraints. Bring your little ones with you to your morning yoga practice, and while you are practicing, they will read, connect with each other, play games, and work on art projects.
Private lessons offer students a way to deepen their practice at a pace designed to their unique pacing and physiology. Students are able to follow their instincts and interests under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Alternatively, this is an ideal way for new students to gain an introduction to yoga, paying care to proper alignment and introduce a comfort level into taking on some of these unusual shapes.

I have been trying to find the yoga studio in Eugene that matches my energy, like the one back East did, and I finally found Wildlight! I love the heat, although I have to say that Jess’s classes are consistently hot - I sweat more in her class even though her C26 poses are less rigorous. I love Laura and Matt. This studio has been helping me to get back in shape after a very difficult preggo and childbirth. I would say that even though it says on the website that classes are for “all levels” - they are not for those with zero prior yoga experience. The room is big and instructors don’t

If you're looking for aggressive single desperation, unfortunately this is your studio. Teachers prey on students -retaining contact info and "follow up" with late night texts asking for companionship. Its concerning to say the least. Unfortunately this studio fails to respect the sacred nature of a teacher/student relationship. Academic, professional, personal or spiritual; using a position of power to manipulate another is abuse.
Guard your contact info, be wary of small talk with identifying details, and bring a trusted friend

Generally a great studio which I have been going to for over 10 years through its evolution from Bikram to SGY to Wildl Light until recently deciding that the inconsistency in room temperature was too frustrating since hot classes advertised at 105 degrees and 40% humidity are more often than not barely reaching 100-102. I have been advised by staff to attend specific classes held after other hot classes if I want to experience the full benefits of hot yoga, which is often not possible with a busy schedule. I miss the heat and humidity from back in the day when it was still Bikram and the HVAC

I've been coming to Sweaty Ganesh for about 2 years now. The teachers are excellent, and they emphasize listening to your own body rather than trying to push you too far. You need to have the freedom to modify a pose or refuse to do it altogether, especially if you have injuries, and the teachers here understand that. The place is always clean, and the decor is beautiful (this point is surprisingly important). I would recommend Sweaty Ganesh to anyone, no matter their age, gender, level of experience, or level of mobility.

BEST. STUDIO. IN. EUGENE. Hands down. I teach at a lot of studios around town, but this is by far my favorite. The owner is a phenomenal leader, teacher, and all-around human. The teachers are well-educated and teach sound alignment principles with clear language, very little jargon. I love everything about this place from the cleanliness/layout/design of the space to the people that teach and practice there. They have something magical for sure. Core 26, vinyasa, vin-yin, ashtanga, strength and conditioning, restorative... Their schedule and class offerings are wonderful. Definitely check them

"Sweaty Ganesh Yoga CHANGED MY LIFE! The instructors are incredibly knowledgable and experienced, the studio has a serene, almost sacred ambiance and the classes are bliss-inducing. SGY became a second home to me - somewhere to escape to when reality became overwhelming. I love this place and the entire SGY community!"

I love Sweaty Ganesh Yoga! I moved to Eugene about a year ago, and it is my favorite studio so far. I am from Hawaii and used to do vinyasa yoga faithfully at the same studio, and it was hard to find a place in Eugene that I liked. Even though I never used to do hot yoga, I have found that it is amazing in this weather. The community is amazing and supportive, and the space is very welcoming.

Sweaty Ganesh yoga studio has a wide variety of classes and top notch experienced instructors. I enjoy hot yoga but also like the option of restorative yoga and vinyasa flow classes. The studio has a genuine cheerful and friendly atmosphere which I appreciate. There is a second yoga room recently added and new strength an conditioning classes.

Sweaty Ganesh is such a wonderful yoga studio. It's a very safe, healing, and supportive place to practice. The teachers are knowledgable, engaging, and throughtful. The studio space is beautiful and well laid-out. The community of students is great. There is a nice variety of classes that are all accessible to beginners and simultanously challenging for continuing students. The heat is so therapeautic. I have practiced at many studios in Eugene and this one is the best, by far! Such a treat - check it out!
