The club house facility and its amenities are the highlight of this community. The pool, fitness center, hot tub, BBQ grills, and fire pit were all nice to have.
The apartments themselves were built with low quality materials. The walls/ceilings are very thin and transmit a lot of sound. The faux granite counter tops are of cheap quality. We want to give five stars for the staff and management - especially Daniela Cowan. We recently had some issues with a neighbor who, within a few days of moving in, threw party after party with multiple people coming in and out at all hours of the night and breaking countless complex rules. Daniela was on top of it right away, and was in constant communication with us through the whole process. She was so understanding, and every staff member in the office was so helpful. I really loved living here such a beautiful home. I highly recommend moving to this wonderful complex. The staff here is the best! I would strongly recommend against living here. To sum it up: high utility fees, extra fees on top of those, incompetent office staff, excessive emails and fliers with threats about fines that they never enforce, no security (gates open most of the time), facilities often used by people who don’t live there, gouge you upon move-out, still haven’t received our deposit back after a month. Please note other terrible reviews!

This review is for Chia and Sirem! They have been amazing. Just moved in and they made the process smooth. We came to tour more than once and Chia was nice enough to explain and follow up with us every time there was something new that fit our budget and needs. Sirem made the leasing process easy and was very nice and patient. We have put in a couple of maintenance request and they have been done all within 72 hours...AMAZING. The only thing I don't like is the giant spiders around the community. Hate coming outside my front door and seeing quarter sized spiders in huge webs. Overall 5 star experience

I was thrilled when I moved in, before Sofi took over - the office personnel were great, helpful and actually cared about the residents, new and long term. This has all changed drastically. The most helpful they are now is only to sell you on moving in. Once you sign the lease, they no longer really care about what happens. The primary concern here is keeping rentals at full capacity - not the actual quality of living here. Just moved in 10/24/19 got the 2 bedroom 2 bath. I signed up a month ago and started the leasing process and Sirem Roman helped us with everything, she is amazing. The area has a lot of family and is quiet. The parking spots are not that big but is do able. I moved here from casa Mira view. Which was new and big but just felt like I was living at a Las Vegas hotel. The walls were thin and you could hear EVERYTHING! I feel like sofi was a great choice for me, wife and dog. Also the maintenance people are on top of there game they get stuff fixed fast

The apartments are nice and they respond quickly to maintenance request. However, when its time to move out they will strip you off every penny they can. They will keep your deposit AND will do their best to charge you extra! We've lived here for only 2 years and didn't have any pets, but we were charged for carpet replacement and deep cleaning (carpet was undamaged and the apartment clean). They kept our deposit and left us with 800$ bill on top!

While the premises themselves are great, the leasing office ruins it all. They never pick up the phone or reply to emails. I've called multiple times and send multiple emails and they never respond. In addition, when they do respond, the help is always sub-par. The leasing office hours were changed so that they are now 10am-6pm on workdays, essentially making it even harder to go in and visit in person. We’ve been living here for about 6 months now. Yes, the rent is a little steep but San Diego is getting ridiculous now. We are happy as we came from a place with no washer dryer, dishwasher or garage. Here we have all of that, plus central air. The area we live in is very quiet, no rowdy neighbors. Everyone seems very respectful. Maintenance responds to service issues extremely fast (backed up plumbing took them 15 mins to arrive and 30 mins to clear). We went here looking for a place to live, this was our 3rd apartment. We met Kwes. I thought he worked here for a while. He had been accomidating plus very friendly. I asked him all the questions and he pretty much answered my questions. If he didnt know, he would try get the information. I felt like he was friendly, informative and accomidating. If this place was our price range and vacant in July, we would have gotten it. He mentioned highland is their sister facility.

This is an okay place for starting out in a new town. I don't see it as a long term place to call home. The noise is nearly unbearable. You can hear neighbors talking and constantly stomping at all hours. (I am sure they hear us too). It is also supposed to be a non smoking neighborhood but it isn't enforced. The move in was great. They mailed to my new place to notify I owed them some money although I had paid everything before I left. Sofi Westview along with another Company determine what you will pay for your water bill. Every single month our water bill has gone up. They claim occupancy determines the price....the more people that move in the higher the bill will be. Understandable if that were the case...right? I have seen occupancy go down yet the water bill continuously rise since we moved in a year ago. Please post occupancy stats to prove me wrong.

I have a problem even giving them 1 star. Only lived there 2 years and during that time my car, and others, had it's window smashed to steal things, this happened on 3 different occasions different cars. My garage was broken into and things were stolen. The complex was sold about 9 months after I moved in and the new management company is terrible. I asked for a walk through before leaving and never got one. What I did get is a bill for things including rugs (there were no stains, holes, nothing) that I steam cleaned every 3-4 months, the last time in July, I left in October. I suppose

I have to agree with Marcos and Qunn in that the new management is a step down from the previous. It is difficult to get a hold of them. When you leave voicemail asking for a return call, nobody calls. Billing problems and lease renewal problems have increased since new management took over. Work orders are marked as completed even though they aren't. Noise complaints are ignored.
Also, I highly suggest not moving into a first floor apartment. With the renovations being done, it is leaving the upstairs apartment with no noise dampening at all. Currently, with the latest renters above

We recently moved into the community and love it. Our unit was recently remodeled and love the way it looks. Jesus Vea has been wonderful to work with throughout the move-in process. He gave us all of the information needed for the approval process, entered us into the system and made sure our move-in was as smooth as possible. The maintenance team has also done a great job and is fast and efficient. We are happy to call this place home.

The staff in this property complex will only be very nice and attentive when they first want you to be a renter, after that they do not respond to issues and are not very professional staff especially personnel in the rental office. They also over charge and over bill you on your final close out statement when you move out. You could never get ahold on the phone during business hours. I would not rent here if they cut the rent in half.

And any time we pass by the office Danielle and Steven are always there to have a laugh and hangout! Also the best way to start off my day is one of the maintenance guys named Salvador! I am modifying my review and moving Sofi Westview from one star to 4 stars because apparently when new management took over, there was a ton of problems on the back end and and an equal amount of communications issues.
First and foremost among my issues was the rodent infestation in my Shelby GT500. There was apparently a communication breakdown between the pest control vendor and management, where management was never made aware of the problems with my garage door. A lack of communication on my part didn't help matters here, and I should have went to them first with these problems. Management

Amenities and location are quite good, but there are many downsides living here. Mostly those arise from the lack of professionalism of the new management. First, the management does not know how much exact amount we have to pay, including rent and utilities. They told us that the automatic online payment system would be up and running, but it was not working at all and they didn't even bother to let us know until the rent due date. And what's more amazing is the management notified us with unpaid rent due to their own miscalculation for months!

This place is not worth wasting money and time. The new management is incompetent and unprofessional. From the look outside, it looks like a okay place to live, but the many small inconveniences add up to terrible living experience, including paying rent, parking, noise level, and maintenance issues. Last Friday may mother and I went to view the Apartments, we were given a tour by Andy, he didn't seem to know what was going on. He showed us an apartment that was not available for rent, then called us back with another apartment number that turned out, not available. Then after completing their application, i was not notified that I had been approved, even though I was the primary applicant ... after calling the office and leaving messages for Andy, Danielle, and Jennifer... My first two years here were great! Nice staff, great neighbors and a beautiful neighborhood. The last year things went down hill. The rent inceased more than the previous years and the staff turnover became high. Despite upgrades to the amenities in the complex the complex was declining. I frequently witnessed people smoking at the pool and other places it was not allowed as well as large dog breeds that were supposed to be banned. Enforcement of the complex rules was gone. I enjoyed using the gym in the morning but frequently the gates and clubhouse doors were locked and the gym was unaccessable
