The Mia Gemma custom design process varies from project to project. Sometimes a client comes to us with a concept and we guide them from idea to finished piece. Sometimes a family heirloom is the starting point. Other times we reset client's stones into a new piece of jewelry that updates the entire piece into something truly wonderful and enduring.

Blown away! What an incredible group of people at Mia Gemma that will go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. I recently worked with them on a custom engagement ring and couldn't be happier with the ring. They worked extremely hard to make sure the timeline was met and worked around the clock to go above and beyond the call to deliver a ring that is just stunning. Can't recommend enough, one of the most honest jewelry stores you will find.

I had a fantastic experience working with the artist, Deb, and the owner, Irene, as we brainstormed different ways to recombine gold, amethyst, and diamonds from my parents' wedding rings. The alchemy of turning yellow gold into rose gold was magical! I can't recommend their service and craftsmanship enough.

I cannot say enough good things about the store. From start to finish, working with them was painless. They asked all the right questions initially, worked with me to make sure it was exactly what we wanted, stayed in touch with me throughout the process, and got the ring back to me more than a week before they said it would be finished. It was my best jewelry shopping experience ever. Irene Barbieri, Owner of the place explained the difference between stones and finally recommended the ring which my wife loved.
After that she helped me to adjust the size. Since i was on the business trip i left the ring and she took care of contacting with the artist and sending me the adjusted ring over the USPS.

My fiancé and I were looking for a very specific type of engagement ring that we could not find in any run of the mill jewelry store. We are from Philly and I was in DC for work and we happened to stop in- I loved Mia Gemma's style of jewelry so we decided to have our ring custom made there. My ring was very specific so it was quit the process. Irene and Odaybea were so helpful and their designer Brian did an excellent job! It was exactly what I wanted and BEAUTIFUL! I was intent about having a "dainty" ring with a pave halo and words can't describe how beautifully it was set

When my girlfriend and I went engagement-ring shopping, Mia Gemma was the first place we went and -- after a couple stops elsewhere for comparison -- the last. Irene had a terrific, beautiful selection and couldn't have been more welcoming. No pressure at all, and she asked questions that drew out possibilities, likes and dislikes. Irene and Odaybea are great to work with. I first came in here last year when my then-boyfriend asked me what my ring size was. Irene was very patient in answering questions and sizing my finger even though it was clear I was no where near purchasing anything.
Fast forward to this year - my fiancee originally wanted to purchase directly from Anna Sheffield, the company that designed my engagement ring. He had a lot of problems with timing, lack of communication, rudeness, etc. We found out that we could order the exact setting from Mia Gemma; the price was even slightly lower. Too bad for Anna

Their jewelry is not run of the mill items. They have some unique pieces and while some items are pretty pricey, not everything is. I purchased a few items for special occasions. A couple years ago I purchased a silver and pearl necklace and matching earrings for my 25th anniversary. This year, I purchased another set of earrings that also match the necklace. for my anniversary I get so many compliments on that necklace. The jewelry was heart-stopping.
the customer service? i walked into this tiny little place full of anticipation. there were some lovely necklaces on the counter, and i reached out to touch them. wow, wish i hadn't, because the woman behind the counter literally snatched them from under me. i can only think she thought i meant to steal them. yow-sah.
after that, i only stayed in the store because my sister and my 6 yr old daughter were so agog with the merchandise. i was so put off by the aformentioned incident that i couldn't really see anything else.
