SBYC's has a world renowned Teacher Training program offering Yoga Alliance certified trainings.
With local teachers, such as Kat Connors-Longo, Cheri Clampett, Heather Tiddens, Jivana Heyman, and Arturo Peal, and special guests, such as Lisa Walford, Dianne Bondy & Nischala Devi, our trainings prepare novice and advanced teachers. SBYC's ongoing and guest teachers offer workshop style classes where students have an opportunity to dig deeper in to their practice.

We are passionate about providing consistently excellent teaching, accessible classes, and a Yoga Home that welcomes all, body, mind and spirit. Established in 1992, we are one of California's leading Yoga Centers, home to many excellent teachers. Located in a beautiful, historic building, our studios have an expansive atmosphere, with twenty-foot ceilings, huge skylights and are filled with light.
Barbara has been practicing at the Yoga Center for many years, so the desire to help our beloved center grow came naturally. Not a yogi by trade, she is a classical recording engineer (Opus 1 mobile recording) and occasional theater sound designer, and so is grateful helping to bring beautiful music to the world as well as yoga!
Our world-renowned Yoga Teacher Training & Advanced Studies Program draws students from all over the world to the beauty of the Santa Barbara Yoga Center, as well as the beauty of Santa Barbara itself. These programs are designed to deepen one's understanding and practice of yoga, and may also be taken by those who are not necessarily intending to become yoga instructors.
Stay at our beautiful space for a weekend or longer! Santa Barbara Yoga Center offers a full studio apartment available to rent for short stays so you can relax and rejuvenate in sunny Santa Barbara. The onsite studio apartment includes bamboo floors, your own private yoga studio, props, and unlimited classes at the yoga center.
