The Sanskrit word hatha literally means "force" and thus alludes to a system of physical techniques. Hatha is the branch of yoga in which we use the physical practices - including postures, breathwork, and meditation- to build better control of our thoughts in order to move ultimately toward union of our body, mind, and soul.
Beginner Hatha Yoga is a perfect way to introduce or reconnect your mind, body, and spirit to the practice of yoga. This class provides an opportunity for those who are completely new to yoga or coming back to yoga to to reap yoga's physical and mental benefits. This is the perfect class for anyone who wants to go slow and learn how to make the practice fit the needs of their unique body.
All-Levels Hatha Yoga is a calming, stress-reducing yoga class to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body. This yoga class designed to guide clients new to yoga into the practice while allowing more seasoned practitioners to adjust the practice to suit their individual needs.
Most forms of yoga are dynamic, active practices designed to work only half of our body, the muscular "yang" tissue. Yin Yoga safely works the other half of the body, the deeper tissues of our ligaments, joints and fascial networks. Yin is a slower, more introspective practice, and a great compliment to any yang activity.

Jai Dee is warm friendly and the atmosphere is peaceful. The yoga instructors are knowledgeable with a deep understanding of yoga philosophy and techniques to fit all age groups. I come here four days a week. It really helps with my joint stiffness and pain. I am truly grateful to this yoga practice.

I LOVE this yoga studio and I wish I found it a long time ago! A warm a supportive atmosphere and a great variety of classes. As a beginner after many years away from yoga I was intimidated! But I was so welcomed and I feel so comfortable in the classes but they are as challenging as you want too. Wonderful teachers and a lovely space, all kinds of events and new things, and massage! Jai Dee has it all.

Beginning my yoga journey, I visited multiple studios in the heights to try and find “the one”. After my first class with Allison, I knew I wanted to come back (and I did). I was greeted warmly, and able to ask questions. I felt safe to express my uncertainty and nervousness in beginning my new journey. Every class I attend, I walk away with something new, a feeling, an intention, and a lesson. Jai Dee, the space and the environment the instructors cultivate, offered and continues to offer exactly what I need as I find myself and grow in my yoga journey. I want to thank all the instructors

Jai Dee is a lovely neighborhood yoga studio that offers a variety of styles of yoga classes. The current schedule is in the Mindbodyonline app (easily downloaded from iTunes or Google Play). I'm a regular student at KJ's, Amanda's, Laryssa's and Rachel's classes. I teach Saturday's at 8:15am, but you'll find me on my mat most days during the week. There is plenty of parking off in the side lot and the teachers love the studio and the student community as much as I do.

Without being familiar with the SH community, and living as a college student near USF, I did a summer immersion Yoga Teacher Training at Jai Dee through the Yoga Viva and fell in love, first of all, with the charm and atmosphere of the studio itself. I felt such a strong connection, comfort, and homie-ness with the old building, from the spacious outdoor porch and garden area to the rainbow/chakra inspired interior walls. I'll always remember the feeling of peace that I had just listening and watching the warm afternoon rain fall outside the windows. This studio definitely helped to enrich

I moved to Seminole Heights (SH) just a year ago. Prior to moving here, I selected Jai Dee as my go-to yoga studio. The studio is a former residence with a pagoda roofline and interesting rock exterior. Inside there are two halves to the building (fire studio and garden studio) where classes are held. Several weeks after my arrival in SH, Jai Dee began a yoga teacher training program to which I immediately signed up. I am now a graduate teacher from the studio I consider my home base. There are several teachers who lead classes which are quite challenging (in a good way) and several other teachers

A beautiful, peaceful space to practice in with a serene lotus pond garden outside. Classes are scheduled throughout the morning and evening, starting at 6:00AM! Many different types of classes but they are all geared to all levels of practice. Soon to offer yoga wheel & yoga trapeze classes. Great class packages and the monthly membership rate can't be best.

My partner wanted to get back I to yoga and I must admit, I was skeptical. My training is western medicine and I'm not always one to run in the opposite direction. The owner Mia has taken great care of us. Having been in several serious traumatic accidents, my back looks like a jigsaw puzzle. Mia put me with Michelle and let me tell you...Michelle is amazing, caring, and passionate about he love for yoga. It's Michelle that has taken extra time during class to help this new guy out. If you are new to yoga, take Michelle. If you want an advance class, sign up for Mia! Great experience

I took a class from Richard after purchasing a groupon. It was packed! The more advanced students (Wendy and Jen) were helping out as well for which I was grateful. My yoga experience is mostly with Sumits, Pilates, and Bikram. I am not as familiar with Ashtanga or Anusara and so some of the poses were very challenging for me. It is very important to me as a student when the teacher takes the time to make corrections to poses. Richard did just that which helped me to know that he cared about my practice as much as I did.
