I am planning on suing this nursing home for killing my companion by the overdosing of meds by unskilled professionals!! This place needs to be shut down ASAP!! Searching for Nursing Home Lawyers who will work with me and my companion's niece to oust these individuals and revoke their licenses( if any) to prevent them from harming any other individual patient at this facility.

Nurses are EXTREMELY rude with attitude and do not help you, it's crazy. I didn't have a TV remote 90% of the time, food is horrible with small portions. Super hot room. Would not give me a working wheelchair. There was no flowing water available the whole time I was there just bottled water even to wash up with. Horrible experience. Do not go to this place.

My parent was here for a few months after an operation. The physical therapy team is a great asset to the company. Some of the nurses would get mad and ask WHAT YOU WANT if assistance is needed. This place will sneak and transfer your mail to this facility without notice in hopes of you staying forever. My parent is still missing mail and this "business" has not forwarded it back to the home.

They do not check for external appointments and do their best to make you miss them. The scheduler and phone operator are extremely rude. If you do not want to help people who are trying to recover

I was a patient in 2019 for 6 months. I entered in the worse condition in my life. I lost use of my legs. When I arrived there it took me a few days to even realize the seriousness of my situation. I thought it was all over. I was never going to walk again. The living conditions weren't great. But normal hospital stuff. Bad food and some worthless nurses..If I could have walked out I would have right away. But that wasn't an option. What gave me hope was the great physical therapy. I normally wouldn't name names. But it goes without saying Taylor and Samantha r the biggest reason

I rate this from the perspective of a former (thank GOD former!) resident. I wound up LEAVING here after Legionnaire's was detected in the water. This meant that NO running water could be used. Well, there was a ten second limit on hand washing. No showers. Bottles of warm water were passed out. Did I mention, NO showers! I stuck it out for a while, bein g promised that it was temporary and to try to be understanding.. blahblahblah
Finally, it took my Mom to say Oh my God, it's been over two weeks! SO I started a mission.
I couldn't stand it anymore, and the only answers I was given

Chalez took me in when I had nowhere to go. They have afforded me the ability to work with a psychologist and to healthily deal with my illnesses, whic are rare, and my addiction. The staff takes a little getting used to, but they take pride in their work. Management is always open for suggestions and will work with you even if you have mitigating circumstances. This place has changed my life. I would reccomend this place. It is clean and the food is pretty good.

Interesting the high marks some people generously left for this establishment. I will keep that speculation to myself.

My relative ended up here and was in Hospice. If a family member was not present he would have starved to death. Here's a tip. When someone is in Hospice and they are too ill to eat a full sized meal and their only and perhaps their last request is for something like soup or jello then that request should not take over 2 hours to be brought to them.

And what is with allowing a patient to sleep in their own clothes only to have them pee in their clothing and the bedding

Chalet is a beautiful facility located in Roger's Park. My sister came here for rehab and they did a wonderful job getting her back to her usual self. The nursing staff know what they are doing and are very friendly. The building is so nice and clean. Definitely recommend your loved one coming here for rehab.

My sister is a resident of Chalet, and I am a health care researcher whose studies have examined quality of care in nursing homes. I know only too well the problems that characterize much nursing home care in this country. Chalet has proved to be the exception to the rule. For starters, it is clean and well maintained. It passes what others have called the "sniff rule." It features a variety of public spaces that my sister enjoys regularly--a library/computer room, TV/dining room, activities room, and, importantly for my sister, a patio for smokers. Best of all, the staff are responsive

The nurses were rude to the patients and behaved as if they didn't like their job. Also the smell due to lack of bathing the residents there is atrocious. Lobby smells great but once you get on the elevator... God be with you.

Not a good place for your recovery. A nurse name Gloria is very rude and she doesn't know how to talk to the patient. She thinks that this is a marketplace even in the middle of the night her voice is very loud. You need to fire her it doesn't help the patient at all.

I'm a resident at Chalet soon to be leaving. Chalet is a very clean environment out of all the Nursing Homes I have been too. The physical therapy department was very instrumental in helping me getting me to where I can function on my own. They have state of the art equipment. The staff, administration, nurses, CNA, Front Desk Staff, Activity Staff, Social Service Staff all work together as a team. I would not be where I am today and be able to live on my own if it wasn't for everyone at the Chalet. The food is really good and Everyone at the Chalet works really hard. That is
