Well Dunn

I tried to use Well Dunn. I requested a menu, it came three days after it was promised. In a phone call (that took days to arrange) I requested changes, they took over a week to make and then Paul had forgotten everything we discussed in the call and we had to have the call all over again. In the end I used another, far more responsive caterer. I've no idea how the food is because I could not get an adequate planning response. I was arranging a memorial service and this terrible experience just added to the stress.

Even though I walk by their rowhouse every week, I hadn't experienced Well Dunn Catering until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. During the summer of 2020, they hosted a pop-up bakery and flower market on Thursdays from 12pm-5pm. The set up is simple, but safe, and their pastries are delicious. My wife and I ordered the blueberry crumble cake (wow- amazing!) and a s'mores bar. We will definitely be back as they change their menu weekly.

When I need a place to grab something to get me through the day I never have to think too long before I come to the instinctive thought. Why not have it my way today. I stop in line and before I know, it I have enough food to feed a lot of people.

If you haven't already, I suggest you start heading there before the wait gets longer. They cater great food and they are a great company! Will always recommend!!!

After studying Yelp closely and looking for local Capitol Hill business, I reached out to Well Dunn to cater an up-coming cocktail party at my home; their salesperson Ashley reached out to me the same day. We quickly selected items for an extensive menu and set up a time for a walk through of the house; 20 mins later, Ashley had a full plan.

This was a party for less than 20 people so I thought I wouldn't get too much attention - I was wrong. The execution was even better than the planning. A team of 4 supported my event - I thought this was gong to be too many, it wasn't. The food

I highly recommend Well Dunn! Steven Dunn has been flourishing in the catering business since the early 80's and that alone speaks volumes.
Steven is a true professional. He and his highly-trained staff put on an event that I recently attended and it was truly amazing.
Every food they served seemed like the best version of it that you have ever tasted. The same was true of their unique cocktails.

As a planner, we work closely with our catering team to ensure a seamless event. Well Dunn always goes above and beyond to make sure events run like a well oiled machine. They are so on top of the schedule, plans, and are flexible when need be. They are always staffed well to make sure there are as many hands as necessary. We will always refer our clients to Well Dunn and hope to continue to work together on many events.

We worked with Cameron for our event, our office's annual awards banquet. Cameron was super easy to work with, very responsive and the event turned out just as we planned. The day of the event he was there along with his staff setting up and making sure all details were complete. The food was delicious and everyone on his team was extremely friendly and amazing to work with. My event planning company has done over 125 weddings and Well Dunn is EASILY one of the best catering teams we’ve ever worked with. Hilary was responsive, flexible and helpful throughout the planning process, and her team was seamless and professional on the day of the event. The company I work for has used the services of Well Dunn on a few occasions for some pretty major parties. Everyone is consistently impressed with the quality of their food. We continue to hear from guests (including some major big wigs) that the food is outstanding. I personally LOVE their food and look forward to taste testing everything. This review is over two years overdue as they were our caterers at our wedding and we've been married for over two years, but I wanted to make sure I give my thanks to these folks! Our point of contact, Rhiannon, was amazing. Not know was she professional but she was also so kind and helped us with our choices, and she went to extra mile and gave us more advice about wedding logistics than almost anyone else. She went above and beyond her job and to this day I'm so, so thankful we were paired with her!

Pricing of this caterer is solid and they offer a solid package that even allows BYOB as long as it's purchased within state. The contacts have been very helpful and responsive to our inquiries. They are also one of the few vendors who have open tastings without a strong commitment. I look forward to working more with Well Dunn in the future.

We worked with Yulia, who is the most prepared, professional, and reliable event coordinator I have ever met. We didn't have a wedding planner, so she went the extra mile and made sure that our plan was thorough and that we didn't miss any detail. She was always responsive to even the smallest request for information or assistance.

We were so pleased with the Well Dunn experience. Event Coordinator Madeline Zavesky ensured that I was her only client that weekend. She was very responsive initially when we were "shopping around" for caterers. Once everything was confirmed, Madeline was on hand to provide general guidance and field frantic questions and requests. I didn't hire a wedding planner and I didn't need one. Madeline made it easy, fun, and low-stress. All our needs were met and I would recommend Well Dunn to anyone without hesitation.

I recently photographed a wedding that was catered by Well Dunn Catering at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. They did a fantastic job with the food and the service was incredible. The communication between them, the client, the event planners, and the other vendors was also impressive. It's easy to recommend a vendor when you are a guest or client at an event, but when you are a vendor and you see "how the sausage is made" you get a completely different perspective. And from that perspective, I can only say that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

We used Well Dunn Catering for a work event we had that was in the evening. We did a fall theme. The Chef catered our menu to the theme. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Some of the best food I have ever had. The staff was extremely friendly, and courteous. We will definitely be using Well Dunn again.

Okay, where do I start. I used Well Dunn to cater my wedding. I got married on 8/2/2014. I couldn't ask for a more perfect day from the weather to the food. I have received so many compliments on the food and the service. I worked with Madeline Z. Madeline was very helpful and professional. Madeline answered questions instantly and was always reassuring and available. Well Dunn has done several events at the venue so she was knowledgeable and that helped with the setup. Again, the food was superb! The service of the wait staff was excellent. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could.

Well Dunn catered our wedding in May, 2013 and they did a fantastic job. They came highly recommended to us by my dad's company which works with them quite frequently on events in Washington, DC. I did not have a wedding planner and Yulia Shegai took over nearly every role that a day of planner would have served for us. She set up our place cards, guest book, card box, framed photos of our family members that we wanted to place on a mantle in our venue- and much much more. When we first booked the Barns of Wolf Trap for our wedding reception, I'd already had a caterer in mind for the event. Then the Barns told us we could only use a caterer from their approved list for liability reasons. Devastation.
