About a year ago we had a true emergency and our regular vet wouldn’t make space for him however Buckner Animal Clinic asked that we bring him in immediately despite having never seen any of our animals prior to that day. Our sweet puppy turned out to have an advanced infection caused by a flea and tick collar. Being a very heavy coated dog we didn’t see it until we could literally smell the infection on him. He would have died in 24 to 48 hours had we not found the source. They were phenomenal with our anxiety ridden dog and assured us that he would be fine without his companion dog or “his

Horrible kennel. When I picked my dog up he had feces on his paws, so they are not taking them out or cleaning their cages appropriately. My dog also got sick during his stay, was throwing up and coughing when he got home. When I called back to let them know, the vet said his throat sounded the way it did because “the dogs lose their voice when they’re talking to each other” ridiculous answer. Do NOT let your pet stay overnight here.

Dropped my 10 month german shepherd puppy off for a weekend stay. He’s a very nervous dog and required a lot of effort to get him in the building. The two girls that helped get him inside were nothing but patient, caring, and gentle with him. I appreciate all their effort and attention each time I visit!

Buckner Animal Clinic and Dr Shipman may have saved my dog’s life. Even apart from the great outcome for Tasha, they were willing to help me get enough information to evaluate the level of emergency. Tasha’s vet was on vacation and neither hers nor the three other recommended vets would agree to work her in for an X-ray.
Dr Shipman had never treated Tasha and was clear in stating that he could not do any emergency surgery that same day if required, but he examined her & did the X ray to rule out the bowel blockage I suspected. It turned out to be worse ( a mass in the liver). impressed by

Buckner Animal Clinic was referred to me by 2 different pet owners. I was impressed with the quick appointment response. The doctor spent a lot of time answering questions and explaining my options on medication. I had additional questions when I got home and was able to speak to the doctor when I called. Price was reasonable as well!

This is by far the best vet's office I have ever taken a pet. There is a perfect balance between amazing care for my fur babies, great communication with Dr. Shipman and the staff, and affordability. When I have had a situation that was urgent they fit my baby in even though they were booked. They cried with me when one of my beloved dogs passed away, I really feel like they care for my pets, and want to give me the best tools possible to be a great dog mom. Dr. Shipman even told my pup bye after his last visit, it was so sweet. #lovemyvet!. I wish I could give them 6 stars!

Dr. Shipman and the entire staff are wonderful. We just started taking our new puppy to Buckner Animal Clinic based on recommendations from several friends. I always feel like Dr. Shipman goes over and above in his care for our puppy. I feel like they love our sweet Maggi as much as we do. We highly recommend Dr. Shipman and Buckner Animal Clinic.
