Tarrytown indoor classes are held in our 6000 square foot dojang - 12 students maximum per class. Bronxville indoor classes are held in our 5000 square foot dojang - 8 students maximum per class. Fair Lawn, New Rochelle and Mahwah dojangs follow the same protocol guidelines, adjusted for their respective locations.
Meaning of Tae Kwon Do - Tae means Kicking, Kwon means Punching and Do means Good way of Life. By encouraging the development of Do through the use of Tae and Kwon, we use the body to grow ourselves mentally and spiritually. The logo of our school is the traditional Saam-Jae symbol. Each of the three colors blending together to represent the harmony between Heaven, Earth and Humanity.

SUSA refers to the surpassing martial artist leader who teaches for the benefit of humanity. The SUSA Program has been designed to give students the opportunity to learn to teach martial arts. It allows them to contribute their time and energy for the benefit of their fellow students and the larger communities we live in.
Tai Chi (TaeGeuk) is the principle of the cosmic energy cycle. When cosmic energy is created and eventually reaches its peak, instead of disappearing, the energy converts into a different type of energy, thereby continuing its lifecycle. Hong ik martial arts in new Rochelle has given our daughters self confidence and happiness, but not only that, each color of the belt simbolize a value and reinforce the moral values we share as a family. Tae kwon do definetely has shape our daughters education in every way. The training sessions helps them to improve their cognitive function and improve focus and discipline. Master Shinmin and his talented and dedicated SUSA students always make us feel welcomed and my daughters feel at home because of the harmonious enviroment. They really enjoy being there and we are grateful for that.
