Radon is an odorless gas that occurs from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water. The release of this radioactive gas enters the air you breathe, causing a potential health risk. It is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer. Radon levels are higher in the Midwest including Omaha and Lincoln areas.

IN CONSIDERATION of the fee being paid for this inspection and the services rendered, Home Standards Inspection Services and client agree that: the purpose and scope of the inspection is to identify and disclose to the client the visible and apparent condition of the major systems as these conditions existed on the time and date of the inspection.
Our on-site generated home inspection reports are easy to read and understand and include color photos. After we complete the inspection the inspector will go through the report in detail with their client and provide a full walk-through of the house. Purchasing a house from another state can be somewhat scary. Our home inspector Jessie took his time after the inspection to do a Zoom call to show us any potential issues.
He was extremely professional and answered all of our questions. We couldn’t have asked for more!
Being able to trust that someone is looking out for your interests is important. We had Jessie look at another house a month before and was just as satisfied. He pointed out some real issues that we weren’t going to be able to tackle so we were able to decline our offer. The cost of the inspection was well worth not having

Paul was great! He was very thorough, professional, seemed very knowledgeable and was sure to answer all of our questions. He explained all of his findings in a clear and straightforward manner and offered great advice. They also provide a binder with pictures and clear descriptions of all of the different parts of the inspection, of which Paul took the time to walk through each section with us. As first time home buyers we were very happy with everything and we would definitely recommend them!

Paul is extraordinarily professional, easy to get ahold of via phone or text and did a very thorough job for our inspection! He came highly recommended by our realtor and didn't disappoint! He confirmed the times for us to arrive, how long his inspection would take and when we needed to be back to discuss his findings. While going through the findings, he provided us with a 3- ring binder of the inspection (to include pictures as well). We are first time home buyer’s and this was our first (and hopefully only) inspection! Mr. Fisher was so thorough and patient with all our questions! He explained all his findings in detail, what each item would mean for us and what was an easy fix/what wasn’t. We aren’t from the Midwest so hail, fireplace issues and monitoring home humidity is all new to us and he really made us so comfortable with this whole process! I highly recommend him!

Jessie was an excellent inspector and was clearly very knowledgeable about each subtopic of the home inspection. We were able to ask deeper questions and really get a good feeling for how serious each issue was. We felt he was fair and honest with not overstating or understating any issues. Additionally, we were provided with a neat binder which clearly noted each issue with pictures and a scale of seriousness. This made it very easy to go back and reference when making our home buying decision.

We found the inspection thorough and detailed, and Tim took the time to walk us around the house to areas he'd highlighted as needing attention. We also appreciated the recommendations for things to keep an eye on for future maintenance or improvement. Steve was very knowledgeable and professional. After a quick walk through the house pointing out the findings, Steve sat down with us and went over the report. He even recommended how to fix and maintenance recommendations. When needed, they can be reached very easy, their office staff is very friendly to work with.
