At Global Vision Eye Care, we strive to provide you with excellent eye care. Our group of Doctors are among the few Specialists that treat complex pediatric retinal disease and ocular trauma.
Dr. Tawansy earned a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering with Tau Beta Pi Honors at Johns Hopkins University and a doctorate of medicine with Honors at the University of Michigan. He completed Residencies in Internal Medicine at the University of California and in Opthalmology at Henry Ford Medical Center, where he was awarded Resident of the Year by the faculty.
Paul Nazemi, MD specializes in eyelid plastic and reconstructive surgery. He trained with Henry Baylis, M.D., the Founding Chief and Professor of the Division of Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery at Jules Stein Eye Institute-UCLA. He received his Medical Degree from the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, where he received academic honors.
The Children's Retina Institute was founded in 2006 by Dr. Khaled Tawansy to advance clinical management, teaching and research for complicated retinal diseases in Pediatric patients. Since it's inception, the Children's Retina Institute has helped thousands of Children who suffer from complex retina issues, including Retinal Detachment associated with Complex Trauma, ROP, Stickler Syndrome and many other retina diagnosis.

This eye doctor literally wasted an entire day of my life. I had an 11:45am appointment to get my eyes checked and get an updated prescription, but wasn’t seen by the doctor until 4:15pm and not out the door until 4:30, almost 5 hours in total. The waiting room looked like a refugee camp without enough spaces to sit, taking on way too many patients. The nurses and administrative staff were indifferent to my concerns and blew me off, without offering me an apology. The doctor was perplexed by my complaints, but equally unconcerned.
